Chapter 204: 204 | The Qing Chamber

The heavy oak door of the Conduct Chamber sealed shut with a sharp, echoing thud, cutting off the low hum of the corridor completely.

The private room was small and dim, lit by a single spirit lamp resting upon a dark ironwood table. The air inside carried the dry scent of official records and cold stone, but beneath it lay a faint, feverish heat that only a cultivator with heightened senses could perceive.

Instructor Qing stood with her back to the door, her hands resting flat against the edge of the table. Her crimson uniform was neat, her hair tied in its usual high ponytail, but her shoulders were locked in a rigid, unnatural posture, trembling under an invisible weight.

The privacy array hummed quietly along the stone walls, sealing the space and making the air feel thick and heavy.

Lin Tian walked toward the center of the room at an unhurried pace. He stopped four paces away, hands loose at his sides, his golden eyes calm and steady as he observed her condition through the Abyssal Shadow Veil.

"Instructor Qing," Lin Tian said evenly, his voice breaking the tense silence. "You summoned me for the post-battle record update."

Qing did not turn around immediately. Her jaw tightened until the skin over her cheekbones turned white, fighting against a fresh, scorching wave of the Lethal Fire-Poison that tore through her lower abdomen.

The physical exhaustion of the previous night’s battle against the demonic boarding party, combined with the heavy stress of maintaining military discipline on a damaged ship, had completely fractured the fragile balance she usually maintained through sheer willpower.

The poison was fighting back with a vengeance, burning behind her eyes and making her breath hitch in her throat until the pain felt almost unbearable.

Slowly, she forced herself to turn around.

Her face was deathly pale, and a fine sheen of cold sweat coated her forehead, matting a few strands of dark hair against her skin. The cold, unapproachable Chief Martial Arts Master mask was completely fracturing at the seams.

"The... the record," Qing forced out. Her voice had lost its usual sharp, commanding authority, replaced by a tight, breathless strain that revealed her vulnerability.

She reached blindly for the record jade resting on the ironwood table, but her fingers trembled so violently she nearly knocked the polished stone to the floor.

Lin Tian did not wait for her to struggle further or maintain her pride.

In two silent steps, he closed the distance between them. Before she could pull away, stumble, or raise her hand in a desperate attempt to command distance, Lin Tian reached out and firmly gripped her right wrist.

The moment his bare fingers closed around her pulse point, a dense, heavy surge of Primordial Yang poured directly through her skin and into her boiling meridians.

Hiss—

It was like pouring cool, heavy rain onto a raging forest fire.

The blazing Fire-Poison trapped in Qing’s meridians recoiled instantly, shrinking deep into her Dantian under the sheer, uncompromising purity of his Yang aura. The excruciating burning pain behind her eyes vanished in a single breath, replaced by an overwhelming, sudden wave of relief.

A soft, broken gasp escaped Qing’s lips.

Her knees buckled beneath her instantly. The sudden, absolute relief made her whole body go limp, and if Lin Tian had not caught her by the waist with his other arm, pulling her lush frame flush against his chest, she would have collapsed onto the stone floor in a heap.

"Instructor," Lin Tian murmured softly, his face inches from hers, his golden eyes locking onto her hazy gaze. "You call me here to update a record, yet your own body is failing you entirely."

Qing’s breath came in ragged, uneven gasps. Her eyes fluttered open, wide and glazed, staring up at his calm golden gaze with a mixture of terror and longing.

The physical relief was absolute, but the consequence of that touch was immediate and terrifying. The exact same Yang touch that killed the poison also triggered a deep, traitorous heat low in her abdomen.

Her inner walls clenched without her permission, and a sudden, undeniable wetness gathered between her thighs.

"Release... release my wrist," Qing whispered, her voice cracking. She tried to sound stern, but her tone sounded more like a desperate plea. "This is... this is improper. I am your instructor... you are a disciple..."

"An instructor who is about to faint from internal poison," Lin Tian replied, his voice a low, unhurried baritone that ignored her rank completely. "If I let go now, the poison will flare back before you even reach the stairs. Do you want the stewards to see the Head Referee crawling out of a conduct chamber?"

Qing’s chest heaved. She knew he was right.

Without his physical contact, the poison would tear through her meridians again within minutes. But letting a junior disciple hold her like this—supporting her trembling weight while her body reacted with shameful, uncontrollable heat—crossed every disciplinary line she had sworn to uphold before the sect.

"Then... then do what you must," Qing closed her eyes tightly, a tear of sheer frustration and overwhelming relief slipping down her flushed cheek. "Fix the poison... and leave me be."

"Healing poison isn’t done by just holding a wrist, Instructor," Lin Tian murmured, his fingers sliding from her wrist up along her forearm, tracing slow circles over the sensitive skin beneath her sleeve. "The blockage has settled deep into your meridians. To suppress it properly, the Yang energy needs to be guided along your spine, opening the blocked pathways."

A violent shiver ran down Qing’s spine, her breath hitching in her throat.

"No... not the spine... that’s too intimate—ahhh..."

Before she could finish her protest, Lin Tian guided her gently backward until her back pressed against the sturdy dark wood of the ironwood table. He stepped between her thighs, his towering frame completely shielding her from the door, his chest pressing against hers.

His left hand rested firmly on the small of her back, pressing a concentrated, scorching stream of Yang Qi directly against her spine.

The heat sank deep into her meridians, sweeping away the last remnants of the burning pain, but replacing it with a wave of intense, dizzying pleasure that made her mind spin. Qing’s hands flew up, her fingers gripping the fabric of his shoulders to keep from sliding down the wood.

"Lin Tian..." she sobbed softly, her body arching instinctively against his touch, completely helpless against the dual storm of relief and desire.

Lin Tian’s right hand moved from her wrist to rest on her hip, pulling her even closer. The physical proximity made the air in the small chamber feel scorching hot.

"You wanted a record update, Instructor," Lin Tian whispered, his lips brushing the shell of her ear, sending fresh shivers down her neck. "Let us update it properly."

Qing could only close her eyes, her proud martial discipline crumbling beneath the relentless tide of his Yang energy and her own overwhelming, desperate need.
