Immortal World : MILF Dual Cultivation
Chapter 202 | The Quite Aftermath
The cold night wind still poured through the torn barrier, but the sound of fighting had died away.
Across the spirit-wood deck, surviving disciples stood frozen, their eyes fixed on the upper breach where the Core Formation demonic commander had turned to ash. No one dared to speak above a whisper. The image of a “Middle Stage” representative unleashing a terrifying Peak Level 9 Foundation aura and crushing a Core Formation expert in two moves had shattered every assumption on the ship.
Even third-ranked Core Disciple Gao Chen slowly sheathed his sword, a wry, bitter smile touching his lips as he looked up at the dark-robed figure. He finally understood how much Lin Tian had held back during their spar.
Up by the breach, Elder Liu extinguished the Verdant Flame along her combat brand.
Her expression immediately returned to the cold, untouchable dignity of Alchemy Peak’s Master. Yet as Lin Tian passed her, her fingers twitched slightly at her side, the memory of his protective fury still sending a warm pulse through her heart.
“Stewards, clear the dead and bring the wounded to the service deck at once,” Elder Liu ordered, her voice steady and carrying across the ship. “No one approaches the breach until the barrier is sealed.”
“Yes, Elder Liu!”
The stunned stewards and deacons snapped out of their daze and scrambled into motion.
Near the broken support post, Elder Bai wiped the trace of blood from the corner of her lip with a clean sleeve. As Lin Tian stepped closer, the lingering pressure of his ancient foundation brushed against her senses once more.
The sharp, needle-like soul strain that always followed overusing her Exquisite Spirit Body did not return. Instead, the chaotic rune calculations crowding her mind settled into a rare, effortless quiet.
Bai looked from the wrapped Profound Void-Yang Blade on his back to his calm golden eyes.
“Your fight did not disturb a single active array beneath the deck plates,” Elder Bai said quietly, her tone purely analytical, meant only for those standing near the breach. “Even when you released your full strength.
Lin Tian stopped three paces away and inclined his head respectfully.
“The ship’s arrays were already bearing enough strain from the outside, Elder Bai,” Lin Tian replied evenly.
Elder Bai’s eyes narrowed slightly in thought.
Most martial cultivators only cared about how much destructive power they could unleash. Very few understood how to let their force flow with an existing formation rather than tearing it apart.
“Once the left branch is repaired tomorrow, come to the upper array area,” she said, turning back toward the damaged nodes.
“As Elder Bai orders,” Lin Tian said.

Down at the top of the central stairs, Instructor Qing was barking final orders to the representative line when her body suddenly betrayed her.
“Return to your assigned—”
Her voice cut off.
The adrenaline of the life-and-death battle faded, and the cost of pushing her Divine Valkyrie Body to the limit arrived all at once. Deep within her meridians, the Lethal Fire-Poison—stirred violently by her earlier exertion—erupted like boiling oil now that Lin Tian’s open Yang aura had been restrained.
A wave of scorching dizziness blackened the edges of her vision.
Her knees buckled. Her grip on her sword hilt loosened, and her tall crimson-clad figure tilted forward toward the hard stone steps.
Before her knee could strike the deck, a shadow blurred beside her.
A warm, steady hand caught her cleanly by the wrist, while another braced her shoulder, halting her fall effortlessly.
Instructor Qing’s breath hitched.
To the nearby disciples and stewards, it looked like nothing more than a quick, respectful reflex from a junior catching a tired referee.
Only Qing felt what truly happened at the point of contact.
The moment Lin Tian’s bare fingers closed around her wrist pulse, a concentrated, heavy thread of pure Primordial Yang flowed straight through her skin and into her boiling meridians.
It was completely different from merely breathing in his distant scent across a room.
Direct touch hit her system like cool, heavy rain crashing onto a forest fire. The vicious flare of the Fire-Poison flinched and retreated instantly toward her Dantian, its tearing fangs dulled in a single breath.
At the same time, a sharp, traitorous jolt of heat shot straight from her wrist down to her lower abdomen.
Her Divine Valkyrie Body shivered almost imperceptibly against his palm. For five years, every touch of spiritual energy had felt like salt on an open burn—yet this young man’s hand felt so soothing that her starved meridians instinctively tried to pull more of his warmth inside.
“Careful, Instructor Qing,” Lin Tian’s low voice sounded near her ear, calm and steady enough that no one else could hear the subtle weight beneath it. “The deck is still slick with blood. If the Head Referee falls here, the disciples will lose their nerve.”
A sudden, unfamiliar flush crept up Qing’s neck and reached the tips of her ears.
She was the Chief Martial Arts Master of the Inner Sect, a woman feared for her iron discipline, yet three seconds of his grip on her wrist had left her heart beating faster than the battle itself.
“I… I am fine,” Qing said, pulling her wrist back half a beat too quickly and straightening her spine through sheer willpower.
The moment her skin left his hand, a hollow sense of loss echoed through her meridians, as if the cold night air had suddenly grown twice as sharp.
She refused to look directly into his golden eyes, fixing her gaze on the stairs ahead.
“You fought well tonight, Lin Tian. Breaking rank to hold the upper breach… saved lives,” she said stiffly, her voice fighting to maintain its usual cold authority. “Return to your cabin. Tomorrow morning, come to the my chamber. Your representative record needs to be updated to Peak Stage.”
Lin Tian offered a polite nod, a faint, knowing calm in his gaze.
“Understood, Instructor.”
He stepped past her and walked down toward the representative corridor without lingering.

Instructor Qing stood frozen at the top of the stairs until his back disappeared around the corner. Slowly, she raised her right hand and stared at her own wrist, where the phantom heat of his fingers still burned against her pulse.
The pain of the Fire-Poison was quiet for now, but both she and her body knew a dangerous truth: a mere aura was no longer going to be enough once the poison woke again.
