I'm Trapped in the Block
Chapter 370 - 367: Complete Release
Chapter 370: Chapter 367: Complete Release
"All the domes were destroyed by the released energy. We can’t use the ’Well’ to get back to the surface anymore. The only way back is through the emergency evacuation route."
Si Yang explained as it steered the small boat.
It seemed to have anticipated Paradise Island’s eventual collapse long ago.
As Paradise Island’s chief architect, Si Yang seemed unfazed. After getting Mo Ling and the others onto the boat, it simply continued forward.
"Paradise Island is about to be destroyed. Aren’t you sad?"
Mo Ling had personally experienced the feeling of pouring your heart and soul into a creation, and he knew the pain of seeing your life’s work reduced to ruins. He couldn’t understand why Si Yang was still so calm.
However, upon hearing Mo Ling’s words, Si Yang just smiled.
"It can’t be destroyed..."
As it spoke, it sped up the boat.
"Hold on tight! I’m going to show you what true architecture is."
The boat’s bow suddenly shot up, sending Mo Ling, who had been about to ask another question, sprawling to the deck.
The bow kicked up massive waves. White feathers pelted everyone before being instantly swept away by the wind, spiraling toward the sky.
A deep wake cut through the sea of feathers, sending spray curling out to both sides.
Flickering lights appeared and vanished in an instant alongside the boat.
"What are those?"
"Souls!" Si Yang shouted.
"The souls I added to Paradise Island!"
BOOM!
As if in response to Si Yang’s cry, the vault of the sky suddenly shattered into countless fragments. Like peeling paint, these shards began to fall from the high dome.
Though they were called fragments, they were terrifyingly large, and they came crashing down toward the small boat.
"Don’t be afraid!"
Si Yang kept shouting, steering the boat to dodge the falling debris by a hair’s breadth.
A massive fragment of the dome created a giant wave, and the boat rode it, leaping toward the sky.
In that instant, the boat seemed to grow countless wings, drifting up into the air.
The lights, carrying feathers with them, surrounded the small boat and gently lifted it.
Like a white halo, the feathers encircled the boat, carrying it into the air.
"Duck!" Si Yang suddenly yelled, immediately stooping down.
The boat, leaping at high speed, plunged into a white space made of innumerable lights. The lights then began to propel the boat forward, following closely behind and gathering at its stern.
The boat moved faster and faster.
Mo Ling could only see the lights around them stretching into blurry lines that extended into the infinite distance.
Despite the incredible speed, the boat was remarkably stable. The lights clung tightly to it, even protecting everyone on board.
They gathered into clusters of feather-like patterns of light, enveloping Mo Ling and the others. Mo Ling could even feel a faint warmth.
As more and more lights gathered, the feather-like sensation on Mo Ling’s skin grew stronger. Gradually, he felt as if he were lying in a soft down quilt, incredibly comfortable.
The whistling wind and vibrations around him vanished completely, replaced by an endless calm.
"Good night."
Mo Ling thought he heard someone whispering gently from within the lights, but when he looked toward the sound, he only saw blurred glimmers.
’Was I imagining things?’
At the front of the boat, Si Yang had stood up again at some point.
It stood at the bow, wreathed in shimmering lights, as if wearing a shining cape that fluttered in the wind. Si Yang stared ahead intently, full of anticipation.
"We should still make it."
In the distance, a white light appeared—an exit, it seemed. Si Yang’s eyes lit up at the sight of it.
"There’s going to be some turbulence. Hold on!"
The white light grew closer and more blinding. The lights around them solidified, protecting everyone tightly.
Finally, the moment the boat was completely engulfed in the white light, Mo Ling heard a cracking sound.
It was a very faint crack.
Like a stone on the roadside, gently splitting apart.
CRACK.
The boat seemed to have broken through a barrier and arrived in a new place.
"We made it! Look!"
Si Yang urged excitedly.
Mo Ling quickly looked around, and the scene before him left him stunned.
There were only two colors between heaven and earth.
Black and white.
The sky was a black mass of Hell Beasts, roiling like storm clouds and stretching to the horizon.
The ground was a pure white Hell Island. Countless lights broke free from the restraints of the white-light stones, transforming into feathers that scattered into the air.
And their small boat was suspended in the black-and-white mid-air, surrounded by innumerable feathers.
The feathers danced and drifted toward the sky, only to be swept into the dark clouds, their destination unknown.
Black and white merged together in a surprisingly clever harmony, perfectly balanced.
"They’re all alive!"
Si Yang looked at the feathers dancing in the air and the Hell Beasts in the sky, smiling with relief.
"Alive?"
"Yes. If the Feathered Beings could be converted into white-light stones, then the white-light stones can be turned back into Feathered Beings. It’s their race’s ability. As long as there’s enough energy, their cycle of reincarnation can be reignited!"
Si Yang jumped in front of Mo Ling and gripped his hands tightly.
"The compressed spaces were the potential energy I left for them! As long as that energy is released, all the white-light stones on Hell Island can be converted back into Feathered Beings!"
Mo Ling listened to Si Yang, stunned. It was a long while before he came to his senses.
"You planned this all along?"
"Of course!" Si Yang puffed out its chest and said proudly, "I’m the chief architect of Paradise Island, the most powerful builder of the Silk Race!"
"I wouldn’t let the races that built Paradise Island sacrifice themselves for nothing!"
"I stored their souls in Paradise Island’s central core, using them temporarily as the main control program. Their energy was converted into white-light stones, and I stockpiled the energy needed for activation so they could be reawakened at the right time!"
Si Yang raised its hands, standing amidst the sky full of drifting feathers.
"Those high and mighty, powerful races had no idea I did this right under their noses! I told them the main control program was to allow Paradise Island to operate independently, the compressed structure was to save space on Paradise Island, and the low-power mode for the white-light stones was to reduce energy consumption!"
"They believed it all! HAHA!"
"They believed it all!"
The white-light stones on the ground continued to crumble and shatter, turning into countless feathers that soared into the sky. But the island’s architect was reveling in the sight.
Si Yang bounced and skipped on the boat, dancing with the drifting feathers. Every so often, it would leap off the boat into the swirling plumes, only to be lifted up and carried back by them.
Even though everything it had poured its heart and soul into building was collapsing, Si Yang didn’t care in the slightest.
It waved at the sky, and the dark cloud extended a tentacle. A few soot sprites rolled onto its hands.
Si Yang excitedly squished and kneaded the soot sprites. They tried to escape, but it pulled them back, hugging them to its chest and swinging them around.
Only after tormenting the soot sprites until they were exhausted and had lost the will to live did it send them back into the dark cloud.
After its moment of joy, Si Yang suddenly froze and reached out to touch the feathers swirling around it.
"I’m sorry I kept you all waiting."
