I'm the Only Magus in This Witch World

Chapter 207: The Collapse of the Realm Entrances

  • Next Chapter

At the highest point of the Tower, the 4 Grand Witches were sitting in the circular room with grave expressions on their faces.

They were all looking at a vision projected above the center of the table, showing a giant monster flying through the sky.

Green scales covered its entire body, and its head was as large as a small mountain. Its 2 narrow, menacing eyes stared down at the ground as it glided through the air with its enormous wings spread wide, almost covering the entire sky.

It was a Dragon. A real one, not one of those imitation Wyverns they used for transportation, now flying through the skies of the Witch World.

"How could the seal on the entrance to the Realm of Giants have broken like this?" Hecate Kingsley, the Order Witch, muttered, her face tense with horror.

She was the one who had placed the seal on the entrance, hidden among the clouds high in the sky, many years ago.

But not long ago, the seal had suddenly broken, opening the entrance and allowing a powerful Dragon to cross into their world.

The Realm of Giants was home to many powerful beings, with Dragons being one of the races living there.

Although Green Dragons weren’t the strongest among them, even a single one was powerful enough to require at least 2 Grand Witches working together to defeat it.

And a Dragon passing through the entrance was only a sign that more could soon follow.

"We don’t have time to wait for Triss. Let’s go before more come," Melisandre Harkness, the Death Witch, said gravely.

The rule was clear. Under normal circumstances, unless there was an extremely serious threat, only 1 Grand Witch was allowed to leave the Tower at a time.

But the current situation required 2 of them to leave, and they had originally decided to wait for Triss to return so that at least 3 Grand Witches would remain at the Tower.

However, seeing how serious the situation had become, they could no longer afford to wait just to follow the rule.

"Yes." Hecate agreed, knowing that every second they wasted while the entrance remained open carried the risk of another powerful creature invading their world. She rose from her seat, ready to leave.

Melisandre also stood up, preparing to accompany her.

But before they could leave, the Tower began to shake.

"Are we under attack?"

The Green Dragon was still very far from the Tower, and no other being had come through the entrance from the Realm of Giants yet.

As far as they knew, there was currently no enemy in the Witch World with enough power or courage to attack the Tower directly.

Then Galadriel Vigo, the Fate Witch, revealed the cause. "The entrance to the Fairy Hive has broken."

A sudden silence fell over the room as all the Grand Witches went still.

The entrance to the Fairy Hive, also known as the Dream Realm, was the most unusual among the entrances to other realms.

It only appeared in people’s dreams.

Which meant the shaking they were currently feeling wasn’t limited to the Tower or its surrounding area.

Hecate quickly cast a spell to check, causing several more holographic screens to rise above the circular table, each showing a different location in the Witch World.

Looking at the screens, they could see that the earthquakes were affecting the entire Witch World.

"This is bad..." she muttered, feeling helpless.

They had the means to fight the Green Dragon and reseal the entrance to the Realm of Giants, but they had very few options for dealing with the broken entrance to the Fairy Hive.

Now that the entrance was broken, it could appear anywhere people fell asleep.

Every living person, monster, and even animal had become a doorway connecting the 2 realms in both directions.

"We need to mobilize everyone to stop this," Galadriel finally suggested, seeing it as their only option.

For a threat of this scale, they needed every Witch and every Shadow working for the Tower to help deal with it.

"You two, don’t waste any more time. Go and seal the entrance to the Realm of Giants. I’ll handle this," Galadriel’s silver eyes and long hair shone brightly before she disappeared from the room the next second.

Hecate wasted no time either. She cast a spell to open a gate, and she and Melisandre hurriedly left through it.

Now only Bellatrix Puff, the Life Witch, remained behind to protect the Tower, sitting in her chair with horror written all over her face.

She could only pray that no other problems would arise, at least until the others returned.

Unfortunately, her wish didn’t come true.

The Tower suddenly began shaking even more violently. This time, however, it didn’t feel like an earthquake, but rather something repeatedly striking it from above.

"Ah!" Bellatrix jumped from her seat and immediately raised her head toward the ceiling.

It felt like someone or something was directly attacking the top of the Tower.

She immediately cast a spell, turning her entire body into a cloud of bluish gas.

The spell was her own invention, or more precisely, an improvement upon a spell that transformed the caster’s entire body into water. She had developed it further, allowing her to bypass the liquid state and turn directly into gas.

Her gaseous body quickly slipped through the gaps in the Tower’s walls and emerged outside to investigate.

Standing in the middle of an enormous lake, the Tower stretched so high into the sky that its highest point reached the clouds.

But right now, there wasn’t a single cloud around it. They had all been scattered by something.

Something so enormous that it covered the sky above the Tower, casting its shadow over the entire region like the darkness of night.

Bellatrix’s gaseous form quickly returned to her physical body, and she remained floating in the sky, staring at the enormous object with her green eyes wide in terror.

Stretching for kilometers toward the horizon was an enormous door lying horizontally across the sky.

It was a real wooden door, no different in appearance from one that could be found in an ordinary house. It even had a handle.

"This..." She immediately recognized it, not because she had seen it before, but because she had read about something similar in the reports.

It was one of the discoveries made during their latest expedition to a new, unknown realm.

It appeared that the entrance to that realm had also broken, causing it to overlap with the Witch World.

Worse still, the enormous door was slowly opening.

Although it had only opened a little, the gap was already wide enough for strange creatures to come pouring out one after another, falling onto the Tower’s roof, the ground, and the surface of the lake, spreading everywhere around the Tower.
