I'm Forced to Be an Undercover Student Despite Being the Strongest
Chapter 41: Possessed Wind
The student began convulsing as more blood flowed from his body.
Merency hurried over quickly still not having taken care of her own wounds.
The rest of their enemy group seemed to still be silently debating whether to attack them or not.
"Steven, what’s happening to him?" Merency asked, positioning herself on the ground, inspecting the young man.
"Either some type of curse connected to a ghost or someone is trying to possess this guy with a spell." Steven spoke quietly, feeling the person’s mana slowly being pushed away.
"What do you mean someone is trying to possess him?" One of the emerald students asked, wanting to grab Steven and pull him away, but his own colleague stopped him.
"Shut it. Don’t you see something is wrong?" The last standing sapphire student spoke.
Steven let them argue. "Merency, do you know any exorcism spells?" But she only shook her head apologetically.
This was bad; any type of powerful exorcism was at least of the sapphire grade and unusable for a bright.
Steven let go of the slowly growing weaker young man, unsure what to do.
Even the two arguers stopped mid-sentence to stare at him. "Where is the medical staff? Aren’t they watching?" One of them asked, and Steven would’ve loved the answer too.
As suddenly the body stopped moving, and Steven could only feel one powerful man’s and one barely noticeable one’s.
Everyone froze, staring at the body, waiting for something to happen, but Steven was already sending a mental signal to Elizabeth, forcing her to act.
But it would still take some time for them to arrive.
As finally some movement happened and a smile formed on the student’s face, without any warning, it sent out a shockwave, forcing them away.
Steven Tok had to take a cautious step back, inspecting the body that slowly rose from the floor; its movements were unnatural.
The blood loss had so stopped; whoever was standing there was most likely the person trying to kill him with the wind projectile.
"Trevor, is everything ok?" A female Emerald student walked up to him, but Trevor barely turned his head.
And with a movement of his hand, he swatted her away, sending her flying, only being caught by Merency.
"This guy is not your friend Trevor." Steven spoke, positioning himself in front of the ground.
As two sharp wind blades flew towards him, enough to kill a person, Steven sidestepped one and redirected the other.
"Is wind his affinity?" He asked, already repositioning himself for the group to gain distance.
"Yes, but beware." One of them tried to speak, but Steven was already thrown off the ground by something behind him.
Turning his head, he couldn’t find anything, but his mana sense was screaming at him that something was there.
"A wind spirit? How did a noble even get one?" A personal spirit would make all of this a lot harder.
Even after regaining his mana, sense spirits are able to nearly completely melt with the surroundings, turning them invisible until they attack.
With two blades from different directions flying at him, Steven spun his body sideways, avoiding both while he sent out a small fireball toward Trevor.
But the spirit had already disappeared, reappearing next to Trevor and, with a strong wind, sending Stevens’ attack off track.
"Why is his spirit even listening to the possessor? That shouldn’t work." He tried to gain as much information as possible, but nobody seemed to know anything.
Steven sent out another barrage of fireballs, but Trevor avoided them by simply stepping on the air, instantly triggering the alarm bots.
But the bots were simply obliterated by the torrent, as with the move of Trevor’s hand, the air began to spin violently.
"Steven, it’s a diamond spell; stay away." Merency yelled behind him, barely audible against the torrent of the wind.
Steven was already on his way to counter it as he grabbed the water from the air with his bare hand, turning it into an ice shard.
Just as he was about to throw it and cancel Trevor’s spell, he had been too slow, as his ice broke apart by itself from the strong winds.
With Trevor’s spell completed, roughly a dozen small tornadoes formed in the air, already picking up whole trees.
As he has barely been able to jump over a tree crown, flying directly at him instead of colliding with the group behind him.
They should be able to handle some flowers, as Steven started at Trevor, who was violently shaking and bleeding from his nose.
"His body won’t handle another Diamond-class spell even with a wind spirit." He whispered to himself, but Trevor was already casting again.
As Stevens’ dark hair on his head started rising in the air, he knew which spell was about to come and didn’t like it one single bit.
Trevor’s body won’t be able to handle a diamond-class lighting spell, but there didn’t seem to be a way to stop it.
As he could feel the static charge rise in the air, he had to counter it instead to protect them.
Forming a small fireball in his hand, he focused more until its color turned into a dark blue as leaves around him in the air started to ignite.
But that wasn’t enough for him as he pressed his hands together, changing its color once more into a cyan.
With even the ground around him beginning to melt.
They both raised their hands towards each other just as he was about to shoot.
He could feel four presences approaching quickly.
As he lowered his hand, he watched Trevor finish as a blinding light filled the entire area, the lighting only shortly behind.
But before it could reach him, another flash of light filled the entire area.
As two lightning bolts collided, a total quietness, which was only broken by the sound, finally reached them.
It felt like his eardrums were just about to explode, but he stood still.
As four people formed in the dust ahead, Elizabeth and three more staff members had arrived.
Trevor also stared at them confused, his face sliced open by his own attack.
But instead of attacking them again, he raised his fingers towards his throat.
"He’s going to kill himself." Somebody yelled behind him.
As the staff members were already rushing forward, it had already been too late.
As the spell completed Trevor tried to fire it, but instead two of his fingers simply fell off.
As if somebody had cut them
