Chapter 1066: Brully Revival (Part 3)

Chapter 1066: Brully Revival (Part 3)

When a mineral is built into a Human Avatar, the Primary Nature is born. It is a result of the interaction of the mineral’s properties with Prana.

Then comes the Secondary Nature, which was created by relying on the conflict between the traits of the Silver Empyrean Tentacle and the Gold Empyrean Tentacle. Depending on the mineral, the point between this conflict where the mineral becomes stable varies.

Some Secondary Natures either complement the Primary Nature or counter it. In very few cases, the Silver Empyrean Tentacle’s traits become completely subservient while the stabilisation point is brought to the extreme with the Gold Empyrean Tentacle’s traits. The build of the Brimgan Royalty fell under this category.

One Nature meant one presence, which made many things possible. After all, there was only one variable. So, what varies is usually the degree of influence generated by this variable. It was simply a calculation of intensity, which only involved basic numerical operations.

However, when there exists two Natures, the degree of complexity spikes to unnatural levels. The first variable is the Primary Nature, while the Secondary Nature is the second variable. Both variables could interact with different intensities, which brings about completely different results.

It was like a chemical reaction.

That was why all influence-based Natures such as Voracious Nature, Weaponisation, etc. fail to work when the target has more than one Nature.

Just the body’s natural mechanism will be constantly varying the degrees with which the influence between the two Natures react and affect the body. Therefore, in this violent, constantly changing storm, no external influence could take root, which is why Natures such as Weaponisation fail to take effect.

Trying to bring a third variable in this storm seemed impossible. It was why no Free Humans or Pranic Beasts had a Tertiary Nature.

In the Brimgan Royal’s build, the Tertiary Nature was obtained by relying on a Major Treasure’s influence to influence a terrain—their Human Avatar—and bring about a positive result.

In the Pranic Beast’s case, the only proper Tertiary Nature that was obtained naturally was the Nature of Cultivator. And even its requirements were insane.

Every other Tertiary Nature was achieved using Maroppa’s Skill of Nature Weapon Assimilation, or Nature Weapons.

Standing in a Billakin building resembling a stadium was Inala, deep in thought, ’A Tertiary Nature…!’

He didn’t wish to rely on shortcuts to obtain a Tertiary Nature. Technically, using Weapon Hands, he could obtain a grey sand Spirit Weapon and then use its properties to eventually create a Tertiary Nature.

However, a single mistake, and his entire body could be turned into grey sand. He wanted to create a method that allowed the Brully Race to stably create a Tertiary Nature.

He wished to achieve it through two conditions: Relying on Billakin, and secondly, Mystic Sumatra Art. A typical Brully had the following build.

Primary Nature—Cyclic Recovery!

Upon reaching adulthood, with the aid of Mystic Sumatra Art, as long as a Brully kept hammering away at their arms, and constant changing its mineral makeup, the traces would be imprinted into their blood and Prana.

Eventually, when the mineral makeup is constantly changed at a rapid rate, the moment the body adapts to it, a Nature is born.

Secondary Nature—Weapon Hands!

Until this point, Inala could already make a roadmap for the Brully Race. But beyond here, many difficulties arose.

The golden humanoid number one wanted Inala to give the Brully Race the Tertiary Nature of Cultivator. This had its fair share of advantages.

First, with multiple bodies, a Brully would do what it did best: split the stack and individually explore Sumatra.

Second, attaining a human form gave them increased versatility, imbuing them with the space expansion and contraction benefits during the transformation, which itself was as powerful as a Nature.

Third, in human forms, they could mate with Free Humans, which was extremely important. For the success rate here, even though minimal, was many times superior to the Brully Race’s fertility.

Fourth, the benefits of this method were many, constructive consequences for Sumatra.

The first constructive consequence was an increased birthrate for the Brully Race, increasing their population.

Second was that even if the progeny was a Free Human, the Free Human would be born with an exceedingly high affinity to form a Billakin Human Avatar. The advantages of this needn’t be said, since the progenitor, Kanka, became a powerhouse with this build and single-handedly resulted in the most Brully Deaths on Sumatra.

Third, such a mixed relationship will bring about a mild stability to the Brully Race, making them feel they have a home to return to. It wasn’t a strong effect, almost minimal in value. However, it still gave a mild sense of collectiveness to the Brully Race, which was better than the exceedingly zero collective identity they shared as a Race.

There might be issues similar to what happened between the Wean Clan and the Varahan Empire. However, that was only if someone like Binala and Kvirala entered the scene.

The benefits were immense, which would actually strengthen the Free Human Race by another level, which was a necessity, for they would be the most sought-after commodity once the Continental Invasion begins.

Inala’s thoughts though, were slightly different, ’The benefits of Cultivator are unquestionable. However, that build cannot reach a State of Harmony.’

In essence, the Nature of Cultivator gave Pranic Beasts the benefits enjoyed by Free Humans. Due to the involvement of two cultivation paths, it was impossible to reach harmony.

After all, the Primary and Secondary Natures of the Pranic Beasts belonged to their path, while the Tertiary Nature of Cultivator belonged to the Free Human path. Due to this two-to-one ratio, an imbalance formed. Hence, it was impossible to attain a State of Harmony through it.

A 10-Life Stage Brully would become an overpowered existence. However, it couldn’t defeat a Brully with a State of Harmony. That was simply common sense.

A State of Harmony signified the pinnacle state a cultivator could reach on Sumatra. Hence, its power was unquestionable.

’Then, I’ll create alternate paths.’ Inala arrived at a decision, ’The Tertiary Nature of Cultivator has to be attained at birth. The longer it’s delayed, the lower the chances of getting it and the higher the resources consumed.’

So, for a Brully that failed to obtain the Nature of Cultivator, it would instead seek the path that would allow it to reach a State of Harmony, ’That feels pretty fair.’

However, a Brully with a State of Harmony only enabled the same issues that happened during the Brully Invasion, ’They don’t listen.’

As a Brully, Inala knew it best. If someone asked him to become a family man, he wouldn’t even put the request in his ears. No matter what kind of woman, whether smart, beautiful, hot, gorgeous, a crush, etc. tries to make a move on him, he wouldn’t even bat an eye.

Thanks to a Brully’s senses, he would be aware of a woman’s advances. However, his interest would only lie in figuring out if the woman could give him a good fight or not, ’That’s genetic.’

It could be changed, through mutations. However, the result wasn’t a Brully, but another Pranic Beast.

Held in Inala’s hand was an Information Slip containing Halmahera’s research into mutating a Brully’s genetic makeup, ’As born from a Cosmic Being, it’s extremely difficult to alter its genes. The results are mostly a failure.’

And even after being successfully modified, all the useful traits of the Brully Race were lost. The result was still a powerful Pranic Beast, but it didn’t have the strategic abilities a Brully possessed. ’After a series of disappointments, they resorted to improving its fertility rate and trying to make it care about territories and the like.’

Compared to a Brully found on Sumatra, a Brully in Halmahera had about thirty percent higher fertility rate. This was a result brought about through a long period of constant efforts.

But that was it. A Brully didn’t care about anything beyond fighting. ’If I don’t think this through properly here, what I achieve will only end up destroying all our efforts.’

The Brully Race would straight up head to the Brimgan Empire, Varahan Empire, Cooter Clan, Quip Clan, etc., to challenge the strong there. Such a challenger was unnecessary.

After all, the powerful forces were already gaining plenty of fighting experience at the Kalahatra Desert, against the endless hordes of Forest Boars and other variants.

’Maybe…’ Inala thought, ’I was thinking about this wrongly from the start.’

He intended to figure out a way in which a Brully could obtain the Tertiary Nature of Cultivator similar to Brangara’s or Gannala’s. ’That’s the wrong approach.’

Instead, what he ought to do is try to attain the same result using a Brully’s inherent qualities, ’They are born with Billakin in their hearts, which has the ability to forge.’

’So, let them forge their bodies.’ This would rob the Brully Race of the advantage of space expansion brought about by a typical Cultivator Nature. Instead, they would have to slowly deconstruct and reconstruct their bodies between the two forms.

’But since they have three sets of internal organs, they wouldn’t die if a set is extracted for the forging process.’ The more he thought about it, the more excited Inala became, ’Right, and in this process, they’ll be subjected to a slightly stronger influence from their human forms.’

’That would bring about the constructive result Halmahera is expecting.’ The moment he had an inspiration, his mind began to function. Spontaneously, Inala began to smile, “Oh, I love this feeling!”

“It’s fun exploring new modes of power!”
