Chapter 339: The Needs of a Pregnant Female: It’s perfectly normal for a pregnant female to have greater needs. An Ruo could understand that.

  • Next Chapter

It was An Ruo’s first time traveling through space aboard a spaceship, so naturally he was very curious.

Earlier, Ulysses had dragged him off to sleep before he had gotten the chance to take a proper look around. Now that he had changed clothes and learned from Ulysses that the ship had an observation deck, he hurriedly pulled him along to see it.

A vast panoramic window separated them from outer space, and the profound, boundless depths of the universe unfolded before his eyes, bringing an overwhelming sense of awe.

Looking at the sea of stars from a spaceship was an entirely different experience from looking at it from the surface of a planet.

An Ruo walked up to the panoramic window and placed his hand against the crystal-clear glass that seemed almost nonexistent. Beneath the immense vastness of the universe, he felt a kind of psychological weightlessness, and for a brief instant, it reminded him of the fear he had felt the first time he came face-to-face with the deep sea.

But Ulysses was standing right behind him, and that gradually calmed his heart.

Ulysses noticed the changes in his breathing and heart rate and stepped closer, pressing against his body so An Ruo had something to lean on. At the same time, he slowly raised an arm, quietly wrapped it around An Ruo’s waist, and embraced him from behind.

An Ruo gradually relaxed in his arms, leaning against Ulysses as he admired the river of stars.

Ulysses only lifted his eyes briefly to glance outside before losing interest and focusing entirely on the male in his arms.

The universe was indeed vast and beautiful. Every military female entering space for the first time would be drawn to it, shaken to the core, filled with yearning...

But after looking at it for long enough, it was just that. It even became monotonous, as though no matter how the scenery changed, it all followed the same pattern.

It was nowhere near as beautiful as the male in his arms.

In Ulysses’s eyes, every eyelash and every strand of hair on the male in his embrace was more captivating than the sea of stars outside. He had to restrain himself to keep from lowering his head and kissing him.

At least not yet.

He couldn’t disturb his God while he was looking at the stars.

An Ruo really did like this starry sky. Perhaps part of it was loving the house and its crow because it resembled the sea of stars within Ulysses’s Psychic Domain. Another reason was that, as a homebody who even relied on Ulysses’s spatial travel for most trips and dates, he rarely had the opportunity to observe the cosmic sea of stars from such close range.

As he watched, a magnificent flash of color suddenly entered the corner of his vision.

He focused his gaze and saw a nebula woven from red and pink...

Like passionate flowers blooming amid flames, dazzlingly gorgeous and beautiful.

“This is...?” An Ruo’s eyes were filled with wonder.

Ulysses glanced at it and said, “The CN999 Nebula. It’s also called the Rose Nebula. In some stories and legends, it represents true love.”

Ulysses’s calm tone contained no particular romantic sentiment, but romance had always depended more on the person beside you and the situation you were in.

An Ruo thought the scene was extremely romantic.

He was together with Ulysses, and they had encountered a beautiful nebula that represented true love. Even if it hadn’t originally represented “true love,” it did now.

Smiling, he leaned a little more heavily against Ulysses, sinking deeper into his embrace.

He felt that this atmosphere was very suitable for kissing.

But he was relatively reserved.

He admired the nebula for a while longer before turning his head toward Ulysses and saying, “So it really is red. I thought the colors of nebulas were artificially—uh, Zerg-artificially synthesized from imagination.”

Ulysses thought for a moment, then explained using his theoretical knowledge, “The Rose Nebula is a large emission nebula. Emission nebulas usually appear reddish because they contain large quantities of ionized hydrogen. Once hydrogen gas is ionized, it emits red radiation...”

An Ruo: “...”

All right.

Now it wasn’t romantic at all.

Seeing An Ruo’s strange expression, Ulysses assumed he was worried about radiation and deliberately added, “Please rest assured. The spaceship has an anti-radiation layer capable of blocking all harmful cosmic radiation. It will not affect your body.”

An Ruo knew he couldn’t let him keep talking and ruin the atmosphere.

If Ulysses continued explaining such complicated things, this was going to turn into an academic symposium.

Maybe he should just kiss him?

An Ruo turned around, pushed Ulysses against the panoramic window, hooked his arms around his neck, pulled his head down, and kissed him.

Ulysses’s silver eyes widened slightly.

Very quickly, everything that had been in his mind vanished without a trace. All he remembered was the male pressed against his body. His entire attention gathered on the heat of those lips as he devoted himself completely to the kiss.

A nebula representing true love really was useful.

His online research hadn’t been wasted.

He had deliberately arranged this route so that the spaceship would pass by the Rose Nebula on their way to the Ninth Military Region, and had even timed it perfectly so the male would see it.

There weren’t that many coincidences in the world.

They were all the result of a female’s careful planning.

A female pursuing a male always needed to put a great deal of thought into it. Pleasing a male was the same.

It was practically an instinct engraved into a female Zerg’s genes. Once he fell in love with someone, he would naturally begin doing these things, putting more and more thought into making him happy.

As they continued kissing, An Ruo noticed Ulysses’s hand moving toward his waist and suddenly realized something was wrong.

Wait.

This was the observation deck!

The universe and its sea of stars were right outside, with absolutely nothing obstructing the view!

Granted, planets were extremely far apart, so spying into a spaceship from the surface of one was hardly realistic, but in the interstellar era, there were plenty of ships traveling through space—military ships, civilian ships...

Even modified Zerg aircraft could enter outer space.

Hell, female Zergs themselves could fly!

If another ship or Zerg happened to pass by, wouldn’t they be able to see them?

An Ruo hurriedly grabbed Ulysses’s hand, refusing to let him fool around here.

Ulysses understood what he was worried about and reluctantly withdrew from his mouth, lightly rubbing against his lips as he explained in a low voice,

“Don’t worry. The ship’s windows are one-way. Nothing can be seen from outside.”

That still wasn’t okay!

This wasn’t a bedroom.

The observation deck was part of the lounge area and technically a public space.

There was a corridor right beside it. Someone could come by at any moment, such as members of the ship’s crew or Ulysses’s personal guards.

Even if Ulysses had ordered them not to approach, pheromones would still leak out into such an open space.

Zerg pheromones could transmit far too much information. The moment another Zerg smelled their pheromones, they would know exactly what the two of them were doing.

An Ruo was thin-skinned.

He absolutely couldn’t handle something like that.

Nor did he want Ulysses to become gossip material for other Zergs.

From the way the male nervously kept glancing toward the corridor behind them, Ulysses understood what he was thinking.

He thought the male looked adorable even when he was nervous and worried.

Smiling, he opened the holographic screen on his terminal, brought up the spaceship’s internal layout, and pointed to the areas on both sides of the observation deck.

“The isolation doors in both corridors have already been closed. No pheromones will escape.”

An Ruo could indeed see the sealed isolation doors on the map.

He was instantly shocked.

Good grief!

Ulysses wasn’t acting on impulse.

This was premeditated!

He had deliberately planned to do it with him beneath the stars, right here on the observation deck—to do... that.

An Ruo had no idea when he had made all these preparations.

Perhaps to a female Zerg, anything involving a male was something worth preparing for in advance, just in case.

Now there really wasn’t any reason to refuse.

Although he still felt the embarrassment of being exposed, and that very sense of shame made his body involuntarily press even closer against Ulysses, nearly squeezing itself entirely into his arms...

An Ruo was willing to do it together with Ulysses, and he couldn’t bear to disappoint Ulysses’s expectations.

Still, they had only just done it earlier, and now they were going to do it again.

Wasn’t this a little too frequent?

The thought flashed through An Ruo’s mind before he quickly tossed it aside.

It was perfectly normal for a pregnant female to have greater needs.

Although given the frequency between him and Ulysses, those needs should have been satisfied long ago and exceeded several times over, physical satisfaction and psychological need were different things.

An Ruo could understand that.

Just as he himself always wanted to hug Ulysses more.

As long as Ulysses showed that he wanted something, An Ruo would satisfy him no matter what.

Again and again.

He never found it troublesome.

If anything, he enjoyed it.

But this time had still gotten far too messy.

When An Ruo was feeling around on the floor for his clothes afterward, he still couldn’t understand how his brain had gotten so overheated that he had actually agreed to do it with Ulysses in a place like this.

This was obviously far beyond the limits of what he normally found acceptable.

The heat of their entanglement had faded, and his rationality had returned.

Now there was nothing left but embarrassment.

He was so embarrassed that he wanted to dig a hole and bury himself in it.

An Ruo rummaged and rummaged through the mess of clothes scattered over the floor, secretly sneaking glances at Ulysses from the corner of his eye.

Ulysses was sitting with his back against the panoramic window, looking remarkably composed.

Even though he didn’t have a stitch of clothing on and his body was still covered in the pheromones An Ruo had left behind, making the entire scene incredibly lewd, the way he sat there casually still carried the aura of someone looking down upon everything beneath him.

Some Zergs were simply unreasonable like that.

They didn’t need military uniforms or elaborate clothing to create an imposing image.

Even completely naked, they still possessed the bearing of a king.

Even covered from head to toe in indescribable pheromones, their aura didn’t diminish in the slightest.

An Ruo was different.

He needed his clothes.

Running around naked would make him so ashamed he would die from exposure to daylight.

At last, An Ruo dug his spatial button out from the pile of clothing and breathed a long sigh of relief.

The clothes he had originally been wearing were definitely unusable now.

An Ruo hurriedly grabbed a random piece of clothing from his spatial button and threw it on. Then he found a large, soft towel and draped it over Ulysses to cover him before beginning to wipe him down.

It wasn’t good to let a pregnant female keep sitting on the cold floor like this.

An Ruo’s ears were red as he cleaned him, his movements quick but careful.

As An Ruo moved around, Ulysses’s gaze instinctively followed him, but his eyes looked somewhat vacant, with very little rational thought behind them.

Only when he felt the sensation of An Ruo wiping his body did his eyes move slightly and gradually regain focus.

It had felt too fucking good just now.

So good that he had completely lost his senses.

All that “looking down upon everything” and “bearing of a king” was nonsense.

The truth was that he had been fucked so thoroughly his soul had practically left his body and his brain had gone completely blank.

Only now was a trace of rationality returning.

His gaze toward An Ruo was filled with incomparable attachment.

His body still felt soft and weightless, as though he were floating among the clouds, and he couldn’t summon much strength, but that didn’t really affect anything.

Ulysses took the towel from An Ruo.

Seeing the pheromones being wiped away, he didn’t say anything about wasting them.

He received overflowing amounts of pheromones every day. The egg would never lack nourishment.

Ordinarily, he would eat whatever pheromones remained, but now that they had already been wiped away, there was no point grieving over this small amount.

What mattered most right now was taking the male back to their room.

He could tell An Ruo was uncomfortable.

Doing it somewhere like this had clearly exceeded the limits of what An Ruo could accept, so there probably wouldn’t be another opportunity like this in the future.

Ulysses felt somewhat regretful, but he knew what mattered most.

His God’s feelings had to come first.

He didn’t want An Ruo to feel uncomfortable either.

Ulysses quickly wiped himself down, then looked at the towel in his hand and hesitated for a moment before naturally placing it into his own spatial button.

He also gathered all the clothes from the floor.

As a female Zerg and the Female Lord, it was only natural for him to deal with such trivial matters.

After quickly putting everything away, he operated the ship’s air system through his terminal and purified all the remaining pheromones.

Then he picked up the male, whose bare feet had been standing on the cold floor, and carried him toward the rest cabin.

An Ruo was startled by the sudden movement and wanted to struggle, but didn’t dare.

What kind of logic was there in letting a pregnant female carry him?

Had Ulysses forgotten he was carrying an egg?

And precisely because Ulysses was pregnant, An Ruo didn’t even dare make any large movements.

He wanted to get down, but was afraid that struggling would hurt him instead, so he could only go completely rigid.

Seeing how nervous he was, Ulysses even comforted him.

“My hands are very steady. I won’t drop you.”

An Ruo: “...”

Was this really about whether his hands were steady or not?

Still, he knew how physically resilient military females were and understood that under normal circumstances, nothing would happen.

Forget carrying one An Ruo.

An Ruo felt like Ulysses could probably lift a mech with one hand, and even that was probably the equivalent of imagining that an emperor used a golden hoe to farm.

But knowing something intellectually was one thing.

The psychological pressure and worry were another.

In the end, An Ruo relaxed slightly and voluntarily wrapped his arms around Ulysses’s neck so he could carry him more easily.

It was only a few steps from the observation deck to their rest cabin, so they arrived very quickly.

After asking An Ruo what he wanted, Ulysses first took him into the bathroom to wash up.

They took a proper shower and changed into clean, comfortable clothes.

By then, the spaceship had also arrived at the Ninth Military Region.

General Muir had long since led a group of officers outside to wait for them.

Rows of military females stood in perfectly ordered formations, welcoming the Marshal and his Male Lord.

An Ruo had thought that since Ulysses had specifically informed them in advance that this wasn’t an inspection, there probably wouldn’t be too much ceremony.

But when he saw the solemn formation waiting for them, he still couldn’t help being greatly startled.

So it wasn’t an inspection, but they were still welcoming them according to military parade standards?

Among the line of officers, An Ruo also spotted two familiar Zergs, Claire and Xi’an.

Eugene wasn’t there.

Eugene was still in Tianjia.

But considering that Prince Metis and Lieutenant General Caleb were already preparing to return to Tianjia, Eugene should be coming back soon as well.

Among the Zerg Federation and Tianjia Empire, which were still only tentatively beginning contact with one another, Eugene and Prince Metis had a relationship somewhat resembling that of mutually exchanged “hostages.”

Prince Metis’s Female Lord, Lieutenant General Caleb, was also carrying an egg.

Even if the Prince wanted to stay among the Zergs longer so Eugene could spend more time with the Tianjia Emperor, he could hardly let his own Female Lord lay the egg in Zerg territory.

With the due date approaching, it was time for them to return.

Correspondingly, Eugene would also be “exchanged” back.

...

Tianjia Empire, Imperial Capital Star.

Eugene said goodbye to the palace attendant who had been taking care of him.

Without even waiting for Ares to return, he hurriedly boarded the spaceship.

Only after getting aboard and seeing the cabin door close did he finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Then he carefully reached beneath the cover of his loose coat and pulled out an egg.

A perfectly white, round male egg.

He intended to smuggle an egg back with him.

It was extremely risky, but he simply couldn’t bring himself to leave a male egg behind in Tianjia.

Eugene urged the spaceship to depart.

He had to leave Tianjia before Ares realized what had happened.

The spaceship did indeed start up and smoothly left Tianjia’s Imperial Capital Star.

And yet Eugene had an extremely strange sensation.

It felt as though something was following him like a shadow.

The instincts of a high-ranking Male Zerg had always been keen.

Eugene didn’t sense danger, but there was a strange, sticky, clinging sensation, as though...

Ares was hanging off him.

The thought made Eugene shudder, goosebumps rising all over his body.

He picked up the egg and cautiously looked around.

In the end, °• N 𝑜 v 𝑒 l i g h t •° he decided to go out and investigate.

This was a private spaceship Ares had arranged for him.

In theory, the only people aboard should be Eugene and the pilot responsible for transporting him.

Eugene cautiously made his way toward the cockpit.

The cabin door opened.

He saw a black-haired Tianjia sitting in the floating pilot’s chair with his legs propped up in boredom.

Even with only a side profile visible, Eugene recognized him instantly.

His expression froze.

Hearing the sound, the black-haired Tianjia turned his head.

The floating pilot’s chair rotated along with him.

Ares, dressed in a pilot’s uniform, met the Male Zerg’s gaze.

He lifted a hand to adjust the brim of his cap, curled his lips into a smile, and asked with excellent customer-service spirit,

“Esteemed passenger, how may I assist you?”

Eugene: “...”

Flip the table!

No.

He was holding an egg.

He couldn’t flip anything.

Suppressing the urge to overturn a table, Eugene hugged the egg tightly against himself, protecting it securely as he glared furiously at Ares.

“Why are you here!?”

“I came to see you off. And also...” Ares’s gaze fell onto the egg in Eugene’s arms.

The meaning was obvious.

Eugene’s face darkened.

He knew Ares couldn’t possibly have been that easy to fool.

Only then did Eugene suddenly remember that blood relatives possessed a bloodline connection.

As the egg’s female parent, Ares could absolutely sense where it was.

Even Eugene’s Psychic Power interference hadn’t been enough to block that connection.

As a brand-new male parent, Eugene simply knew too little about this sort of thing.

He had been so smug, thinking he had successfully smuggled the egg away.

He hadn’t expected Ares to have been waiting aboard the spaceship all along.

This damned Tianjia!

Eugene felt thoroughly deceived.

“I’m not giving you the egg.”

Now that he had already been exposed, Eugene stopped pretending.

He protected the egg in his arms and stared at Ares warily, refusing to yield even an inch.

Although he also knew that if Ares tried to take it by force, Eugene wouldn’t be his match.

But he absolutely would not let Ares simply take the egg back.

Besides, they had signed an agreement from the very beginning stating that Eugene would raise both eggs.

Now he was only taking the male egg away.

That was already extremely considerate of Ares’s feelings, considering he had only just given birth and naturally needed a hatchling beside him!

If Ares intended to fight him over it, Eugene was fully prepared to pull out their agreement and argue the matter through properly.

But Ares had no intention of arguing with him at all.

His voice softened.

“I told you. I’m only here to see you off. And also... our hatchling.”

As Ares spoke, he lowered his eyes toward the egg.

There was a trace of gentle helplessness in his gaze.

Eugene was bewildered.

He looked at Ares with suspicion and confusion.

“You don’t want the hatchling? You didn’t come to take it back?”

He refused to believe Ares was generous enough to willingly let go.
