I Write Novels in a Zerg Prison
Chapter 311: Male Zerg Celebrity × Arms Dealer (2): How awful of you, Mr. Ravens. Shamir irreverently grumbled about his financial backer in his heart…
The aircraft entered Capital Star's No. 1 Satellite Star and flew into a quiet woodland estate, stopping in front of the villa's main building.
Shamir stepped out of the aircraft and entered the villa with practiced familiarity, where he heard the sound of an ancient and mysterious pipe organ.
Following the sound, his gaze fell upon the magnificent pipe organ in the hall, as lavish and imposing as a work of art, and the Female Zerg seated before it.
The Female Zerg wore black and had black hair, his posture elegant and relaxed as the melodious music flowed beneath his fingers. In a setting like this, there was absolutely nothing about him that suggested he was the Federation's largest arms dealer. Instead, he looked like a master performer worthy of the grandest concert halls.
Shamir stood quietly to one side until the entire piece ended, then applauded at just the right moment and said with genuine admiration in his eyes, "That sounded wonderful."
Logically, he should have praised it in greater depth and with more substance, starting from the piece itself, the composer, and its relevant history, {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} speaking eloquently and providing his financial backer with plenty of emotional gratification. The problem was that Shamir knew absolutely nothing about those ancient masterpieces of the universe. His mind was completely blank, leaving him with nothing to say.
Come to think of it, he actually thought the melody sounded a little like the theme song from his previous movie... Of course that was impossible. His movies used popular music. How could they possibly possess such lofty refinement? He would only make himself a laughingstock if he said that aloud.
The Female Zerg rose from the pipe organ and turned to look at him. His dark red eyes rested on Shamir's face, which was filled with sincere admiration. He seemed as though he wanted to say something, but in the end, he merely said, "Let's eat first. You probably haven't had dinner yet?"
He indeed hadn't.
Forget dinner—even breakfast and lunch had amounted to only a few hurried bites. Once high-intensity filming began, Shamir simply couldn't spare attention for things like that.
Shamir followed behind the Female Zerg and, from an angle where the other couldn't see, raised a hand to touch his burning ear.
Mr. Ravens had such a pleasant voice. That steady, deep voice of a mature Female Zerg sounded incredibly masculine and sent a pleasant tingling sensation through him, possessing a distinctive sort of charm.
He really was an outstanding Female Zerg in every possible respect.
But why had a Female Zerg like him remained unmarried all this time? Surely countless Male Zergs would be flocking to him.
Of course, none of that was something Shamir, as a contracted Male Zerg, ought to investigate. Don't meddle in his financial backer's private affairs or business affairs. Think less, ask less, don't cross boundaries, and know your place. Those were the basic professional ethics of someone under contract.
The dining room was on the second floor, with beautiful glass windows overlooking the forest and lake outside. The surroundings were exceptionally picturesque.
Even the food and table arrangement were full of atmosphere: exquisite and beautiful plates, candles, and elegant fresh flowers. With the two Zergs sitting opposite each other, it almost created the illusion of romance.
His financial backer didn't like talking while eating, so Shamir remained silent as well. There were only the movements and faint sounds of them eating beneath the candlelight.
As Shamir ate, his peripheral vision lingered on the red flowers illuminated by the candle flame, and his thoughts drifted away.
He vaguely remembered that the dining table hadn't been arranged like this at first, but when he tried to think back carefully, he couldn't remember much.
Well, naturally. In the beginning, he hadn't even qualified to stay for a meal.
Usually, he would be summoned over in a hurry, clean himself up in the aircraft's shower room, then arrive at the villa solely to provide Mr. Ravens with Psychic Soothing and certain relaxing services. Once it was over, he would leave of his own accord. Then he would go deal with the mess caused by abandoning work halfway through and apologize to everyone involved.
It wasn't as though any Zerg would actually make trouble for him. The company's big boss was Mr. Ravens, the investor behind the movie was Mr. Ravens, and even the production crew and directing team had been assembled at Mr. Ravens's instruction... Everyone knew perfectly well why Shamir had left, and even those who didn't could make a reasonable guess. Everything naturally had to prioritize the big boss's needs, so everyone could understand.
Still, his departure inevitably delayed the work schedule. Even if the Zergs on the production crew said nothing aloud, they would inevitably harbor some resentment. Shamir felt guilty about disrupting everyone's progress as well, so he had to demonstrate the proper attitude. At the very least, he needed to treat everyone to fruit drinks and give them snacks, pastries, and small gifts...
Things like that had become extremely rare over the years. Mr. Ravens no longer summoned him as frequently, and every time he did, it happened to fall precisely during Shamir's rest periods. Shamir could barely remember the frantic chaos, embarrassment, and helplessness of those earliest days anymore.
His thoughts had wandered too far. When Shamir came back to himself, he saw Ravens's ruby-like eyes watching him from across the candlelight.
"Is the food not to your taste?" he asked gently.
"No, it's delicious," Shamir hurriedly replied.
It really was delicious. All the food at Mr. Ravens's home was freshly prepared by chefs. It was incomparably better than standardized meals prepared by robots or store-bought instant nutritional meals.
It was simply that eating in front of his financial backer required Shamir to pay attention to his appearance and dining etiquette, and he'd also been distracted just now. That was why he hadn't eaten much.
Whether Ravens believed him or not was impossible to tell. He raised a hand, swiped and tapped several times on the holographic screen he had summoned, then ordered several additional dishes that Shamir used to eat frequently.
Shamir obligingly ate more and, unusually, actually ate until he was full. The only problem was that the meal took longer than usual, forcing Mr. Ravens to wait for him for quite some time. Shamir felt terribly guilty about that and thought that he would have to work even harder later to make up for it.
But after dinner, Mr. Ravens didn't go directly to the bedroom. Instead, he sat down on the living room sofa, looked at his screen, and gestured for Shamir to make himself comfortable, leaving Shamir thoroughly confused.
Did he have work to deal with?
Shamir cooperatively sat down in the armchair off to one side and waited.
He didn't use his terminal outside working hours, so there was nothing for him to do right now. He looked at the ceiling, the ornaments, the carpet, the tips of his shoes... and occasionally stole a glance at Mr. Ravens.
Mr. Ravens's handsome profile was also very attractive. There was something particularly captivating about him when he was seriously working.
Except Shamir couldn't tell whether it was merely his imagination, but it felt as though the screen in front of Mr. Ravens hadn't changed for quite a while. Had he encountered some difficult problem that required serious contemplation?
Shamir secretly glanced over a few more times. Then he saw Mr. Ravens turn off his terminal screen, rise, say something to him, and walk toward the bedroom.
Finally, it was time to enter his workplace.
Shamir breathed a sigh of relief and hurried after him.
He had already washed himself aboard the aircraft on the way here, so he only freshened up briefly before sitting at the edge of the bed to wait for Mr. Ravens.
The bedroom was quiet, its lighting dimmed low, creating an atmosphere perfectly suited for sleep.
Shamir covered his mouth and yawned. Then, when he saw Mr. Ravens approaching in a dark blue silk robe, his eyes instantly brightened and he immediately became alert.
Ravens glanced at him, then lowered his eyes, concealing the slight tremor in his gaze. He slowly walked to the other side of the bed, climbed in, lay down calmly, and rested one hand over his abdomen.
No words were necessary. Shamir knew it was time for him to work.
He moved closer and sat nearer, leaning forward slightly. As usual, he first extended threads of Psychic Power and began performing Psychic Soothing for Mr. Ravens.
According to their contract, Psychic Soothing was the main course. Everything else was merely seasoning.
Shamir did it very seriously, concentrating fully on carefully soothing his Psychic Domain.
He vaguely noticed that Mr. Ravens's breathing had grown heavier.
Shamir raised his eyes and, in the dim light, met a pair of dark eyes that seemed to be suppressing something.
Ravens made no sound. He merely watched him silently, saying nothing, yet seeming to be wordlessly waiting for something.
Shamir suddenly thought that perhaps even the main course tasted better with a little seasoning.
Tentatively, he reached out and untied the sash of Mr. Ravens's robe beneath the covers.
Ravens silently watched him. His gaze never moved away, nor did he say anything to refuse him.
That was tacit permission.
Shamir's hand stroked the cool, jade-smooth waist, tracing the distinct contours of the abdominal muscles while his other hand pulled aside the obstructing blanket.
Ravens's pupils contracted slightly, and the muscles throughout his body tensed for an instant.
Shamir gazed at the powerful body revealed before him, his eyes kissing their way over those extraordinarily enticing muscular contours. Even after seeing them countless times, he still couldn't tear his gaze away. He remained deeply infatuated with them.
How awful of you, Mr. Ravens.
Shamir irreverently grumbled about his financial backer in his heart, lowered his head, and leaned down, his lowered lashes concealing the darkness and burning heat within his eyes.
Kissing was inappropriate for the relationship between them. Shamir had always restrained himself, refusing to do anything unnecessary.
Massage and bringing the Female Zerg physical pleasure were what he needed to do.
He would massage every acupoint on the Female Zerg's body, attend to every spot that could bring the Female Zerg pleasure, and he would also penetrate him deeply, leaving his own pheromones inside.
Shamir lowered his head and lightly bit Ravens's shoulder, leaving behind a touch that resembled both a kiss and simple physical contact.
Ravens clung tightly around him. A few muffled groans and hurried breaths could faintly be heard, while pheromones lingered between them, leaving a Zerg dizzy and disoriented.
An atmosphere and activity like this could easily muddle a Zerg's mind and make him lose sight of his own position.
It was difficult for Shamir not to develop improper thoughts while looking at Ravens's handsome face flushed crimson, even though he knew perfectly well that this was merely a normal physiological response stimulated by pheromones.
Ravens rarely made a sound, and he rarely met Shamir's eyes at times like this. But the occasional glance, dark and shimmering with emotion, was enough to make Shamir surrender completely.
At first, Shamir hadn't been permitted to leave his pheromones behind. His primary task was providing Mr. Ravens with Psychic Soothing. Later, as Mr. Ravens's mental condition gradually improved, during one accidental encounter, Ravens instead tightened around him and made him leave them inside.
Shamir had panicked at the time, thinking it was his fault. He repeatedly apologized and tried to remedy the situation.
Ravens had stroked his abdomen and watched him with an unreadable expression for a while before telling him it was fine and that he could leave them inside from then on.
A Male Zerg's lingering pheromones made a Female Zerg feel extremely comfortable, nourishing his body and relaxing his mind.
Their ranks differed greatly, making pregnancy unlikely as well, so Mr. Ravens making such a decision was perfectly understandable.
Of course, Shamir still made proper preparations and took contraceptives before coming over.
He had been doing so since before their very first time, far earlier than that particular accident, because it was a necessary precaution. Shamir wasn't an irresponsible Zerg.
Male Zerg contraceptives were difficult to obtain, and it had taken him considerable effort to acquire them. Fortunately, he had managed to find some, and they worked very well.
A ten-year contract, encounter after encounter, and not a single accident had occurred.
Once they were finished, Shamir found his clothes, put them on, and got up to leave.
He had once thought that providing good service meant taking the initiative to clean Mr. Ravens's body afterward, only to make Mr. Ravens unhappy.
Mr. Ravens didn't like Shamir touching him again after they finished.
After that, Shamir became very conscientious about it. Once his task was complete, he simply left.
He seemed to feel a gaze falling on his back. Shamir paused while dressing and turned to look at Mr. Ravens.
Ravens didn't look particularly pleased. When Shamir looked over, something flickered in his eyes before he turned his gaze away.
Shamir was confused. He reflected on whether there was something he hadn't done properly, but since his financial backer hadn't said anything, it wasn't appropriate for him to ask too many questions. He could only think it over himself.
Just as he hesitated over whether to leave, a voice came from behind him.
"It's already very late, and you're tired too. Stay here and rest for the night."
He paused, then added, "There's another bed next door."
Shamir knew exactly which bed Mr. Ravens meant.
Another room had been partitioned off from this master bedroom. There was a bed inside, and even a private bathroom.
Apparently, this was a standard feature in the homes of married Zergs who cared about quality of life. After a Female Zerg and Male Zerg finished doing it in one bed, they could seamlessly move to the other bed to sleep, leaving the original bed for the robots to clean without disrupting their rest.
Shamir had occasionally stayed overnight before as well. It mainly depended on how late it was and whether Ravens asked him to stay.
Hearing Mr. Ravens tell him to remain, Shamir thought that was pretty good. Although staying under the same roof as Mr. Ravens put him under a little pressure, at least he wouldn't have to take an aircraft away in the middle of the night. He could get to bed earlier.
Shamir obediently went into the adjoining room, washed up briefly, and lay down in bed.
He wasn't sure whether Mr. Ravens would come over, so he forced himself to keep his eyes open and waited to see what would happen.
The wall blocked out sound. A Male Zerg's hearing wasn't as sharp as a Female Zerg's, so he couldn't hear what was happening on the other side, but his Psychic Power could perceive everything he wanted to know.
Through his Psychic Power, he sensed a robot changing the sheets and bedding next door. After coming out of the bathroom, Mr. Ravens glanced toward Shamir's bedroom, then lay down on the original bed after its bedding had been replaced.
Again.
Shamir yawned, his sleepy eyes narrowing as drowsy tears gathered in them.
He couldn't quite tell whether he felt disappointed or something else.
At least this way, he could monopolize an entire bed.
Shamir rolled over with his eyes closed, spread his arms wide, and shamelessly allowed himself to occupy more than half the bed before sinking into deep sleep.
