I Write Novels in a Zerg Prison

Chapter 294: Being 'Eaten' and An Ruo’s Diary: (Includes Diary Entries) Marriage Makes People Degenerate

  • Next Chapter

An Ruo’s writing room was eventually moved elsewhere, upstairs.

The underground room, meanwhile, was left as that... private toy room.

Before moving out, An Ruo secretly went through the things in the cabinets and cleared some of them out. He removed certain items that looked capable of causing injury.

He did not think he could hide this from Ulysses. Fortunately, Ulysses raised no objections, which made An Ruo breathe a long sigh of relief.

As for those toys in the basement, An Ruo wanted to know exactly what Ulysses had been thinking.

Taking advantage of an intimate moment beneath the moonlight, he finally asked.

“I don’t think you would hurt me.”

Ulysses spoke with a somewhat distant, contemplative look in his eyes. He openly bared all of himself before An Ruo, their skin pressed together as though their hearts were pressed together as well.

He said, “But I also wanted to know whether you really would treat me that way, and how far you would... go.”

He wanted to know An Ruo’s limits with him, to find a boundary beyond which things would no longer be safe.

But in the end, the result proved that this boundary was far, far higher than he had imagined.

More accurately, within the world An Ruo presented to him, he could find nowhere that felt unsafe.

During last night’s experiment, the greatest “harm” An Ruo had inflicted on him was pounding deeply into his gestational sac, deep enough for pleasure to overwhelm his reason and leave his mind blank for a period of time.

Of course, no Female Zerg would consider that harm.

Leaving that aside, there was only the bite An Ruo had given his shoulder when Ulysses’s pheromones overwhelmed him. It left a faint white tooth mark on his skin, which vanished almost immediately after the male released him.

But to a Female Zerg, even that could hardly be considered harm.

It was closer to a bit of fun.

Ulysses could find no “harm.”

Everywhere he looked, there was only love. He was immersed in a warm ocean formed entirely from the god’s love, nearly drowning in it.

He was willing to drown.

An Ruo listened with only partial understanding. He roughly understood that this had been some kind of “test” Ulysses had given him.

“Then, did I pass your test?” An Ruo asked, feeling somewhat guilty.

After all, he really had used those things.

He had sealed Ulysses’s pheromones, preventing him from releasing them until the very end.

Usually, Ulysses would release his pheromones several times before An Ruo reached his own climax, but last night, no matter what happened, he could not release them. All he could do was cling tightly to An Ruo and endure it.

Just remembering it made An Ruo feel that he had been absolutely terrible.

Ulysses leaned closer and kissed him. His lips fell beside An Ruo’s ear, somewhere between a kiss and an affectionate nibble and nuzzle.

“It wasn’t ✧ NоvеIight ✧ (Original source) a test,” Ulysses murmured. “No matter how you treat me, I can accept it.”

Even if An Ruo truly did something that crossed his bottom line, Ulysses would simply move that bottom line lower himself.

He believed in the god’s love for him.

As long as he continued believing in that love, he would tolerate and accept him without limits.

Until the day he could no longer deceive even himself.

Fortunately, the god had never forced him to face anything like that.

Ulysses even felt that the god could be more excessive with him.

He could accept far more than An Ruo imagined.

The problem now was instead that his male’s capacity for accepting such things was rather poor.

Ulysses chuckled softly, took the male’s hand, and kissed his palm. Immediately afterward, he saw the embarrassed male curl his fingers inward, the tips of his ears turning red.

His male was pure, like a soft white marshmallow.

Like a blank page.

Ulysses had tasted the sweetness of that soft candy.

His kiss marks had fallen upon the blank page.

The god had written and created him, while he, in turn, was writing and shaping his god—with his kisses, with his own self.

They influenced each other, becoming hopelessly entangled.

Ulysses could not help loving him.

No matter what An Ruo did or how he did it, everything about him was adorable in Ulysses’s eyes.

He was at once the god who had created Ulysses, the human who had changed him, and the male whom Ulysses himself had personally shaped.

Their destinies were intertwined, woven into each other’s lives.

Therefore, the bond between a protagonist and his god could not possibly compare with the bond between Ulysses and his god.

Ulysses thought this with cold arrogance, then promptly “ate” the god beneath him, who was letting him indulge himself as much as he pleased.

......

[January 5th, sunny. I failed to get any writing done again today.

It’s all because Ulysses spent too long eating me...

Tomorrow for sure!]

[January 6th. The little albino introduced me to a book club. It sounds really interesting. Lots of Zergs gather together to discuss novels and share their opinions. It sounds wonderful, and I want to join.

But if I go as myself, I’ll definitely attract a lot of attention. My social anxiety is terrified.

Maybe I should make another alias?]

[January 7th. I made myself a perfectly ordinary, unremarkable disguise and slipped in to listen.

Everyone has so many different ideas, and the things they focus on are really unusual. I feel like my perspective has broadened, and I learned about a lot of things I normally wouldn’t even notice.

The only problem was getting urged to update my novel right to my face without them knowing it was me.

Guilty.

Tomorrow I’ll definitely write!]

[January 8th. Selerus is moving out. Before leaving, he gave me the gift he said he would make for me.

It’s a scarf and gloves he knitted himself, covered in intricate patterns of plants and flowers. There’s even a whole flock of big white ducks on them.

So cute!

But I’m a little reluctant to see him leave.

Ulysses spent so many years without his Female Parent by his side. They finally got the chance to live together for a while, and now Selerus is leaving again so soon. Ulysses must be sad, right?

Selerus said that when Ulysses is carrying an egg, he’ll come take care of him. He can also help the two of us inexperienced new Male and Female Parents incubate the egg and look after the hatchling.

The way he talks, you’d think he has experience...

(Ah! I shouldn’t think something so mean! Self-reflection!)

But I really do have experience. I took care of little Ulysses! (Proud)

I even incubated Ulysses myself!]

[January 9th. Writing.

I’m writing, I’m writing!]

[January 10th. Metis is going back.

I wonder what kind of deal he reached with the Zergs on behalf of the Tianjia Empire. The Zergs actually agreed to provide them with some of the technology behind their Psychic Soothing equipment.

I could find out just by asking Ulysses about something like this.

But I refuse to ask!]

[Huh?

Before returning to the Tianjia Empire, Metis sent me several sets of photographs. There are photos of him with Caleb, photos of the Tianjia Emperor, and even photos of him and the Tianjia Emperor when they were little!

Ahhh, two soft, adorable little hatchlings who look alike!

So cute!

The Tianjia Emperor was actually this adorable when he was little!

The contrast is enormous!

No wonder there’s such a thing as a “best-before period” for Female Zergs/Female Tianjia.

But how did he know I like collecting photos of the protagonists?

Where exactly did I give myself away?

Ulysses?

Probably not.

Then Enzo?

That actually seems possible.

When did those two get so close?

Because of Axel?

Metis said that once the Tianjia Emperor gives birth, he’ll keep taking photos of the hatchling egg and send them to me.

He’s so nice, sob sob sob.

And when he and Lieutenant General Caleb have an egg, he has to take pictures and send those to me too.]

[I praised Metis in front of Ulysses, and then Ulysses rode me.

My hips hurt.

I’ll write tomorrow.]

[January... what day is it again?

Marriage makes people degenerate.]
