Chapter 551: Will It Personally Enter the Fray?

Watching Sunxiao and Sangze’s location markers move in her dimensional space, Qiao Xixi knew she was too late.

They must have thought something had happened to her, which was why they’d left the tribe in such a hurry.

Judging from the direction they were heading, they were most likely going toward Elephant Beast City.

She tried to get another discount from the Little Demon to send a message to Sunxiao, but this time, it wouldn’t budge.

Gritting her teeth, Qiao Xixi spent another 1,000 points on a Message Card to contact Sunxiao, hoping he would hear it so they would stop in time.

Jin Ling pushed the door open and saw Qiao Xixi sitting there with a grim expression.

“Xixi, what’s wrong?”

Qiao Xixi snapped out of her daze, grabbed Jin Ling’s hand, and said seriously, “Jin Ling, quick, look at my location.”

A flash of confusion crossed Jin Ling’s eyes, but he still used his consciousness to check her location. He was stunned when he saw that it was wrong.

“What’s going on?”

“The system just told me my location suddenly bugged out. I was worried Fei and the others would see it and think I was in danger, so I immediately used points to send them a message. But I was a step too late. Sunxiao and Sangze are probably already on their way to Elephant Beast City.”

Qiao Xixi had been hesitant about going to Elephant Beast City, but now her mind was made up.

“Jin Ling, if Sunxiao and the others’ location markers are still moving toward Elephant Beast City tomorrow, I’m going there. I’m worried something will happen to them.”

That night, she barely slept. She checked their locations from time to time, only to find that Sunxiao and the others hadn’t stopped at all.

Qiao Xixi grew even more anxious. “Little Demon, didn’t Sunxiao receive my message? Why is he still heading for Elephant Beast City?”

“Don’t panic, Host. Let me see what’s going on.”

The sound of beeping data queries filled her mind. Every second she waited, her anxiety grew.

Qiao Xixi was startled. “Intercepted?”

The Little Demon muttered to itself, the beeping continuing endlessly.

Qiao Xixi paused for a moment.

The Little Demon’s voice held a trace of human emotion—it trembled slightly, laced with a hint of anger.

“Go on, Host.”

“Is it possible that even though Huang Ying’s mission failed and her system was eliminated, the other party has no intention of stopping? But it doesn’t want to go to the trouble of finding another person and system to carry out the mission, so…”

“So…”

“It decided to step in personally and force the plot back onto its ‘proper track’.”

The sound of the Little Demon’s sharp gasp echoed in her mind.

“No.” He hadn’t been asleep at all.

“Are you worried about Sunxiao and the others?”

After discovering something was wrong, Jin Ling had immediately gone to the inner city to explain the situation to Yun Ji and the others. Yun Ji, in turn, had promptly sent the males of the Phoenix Wing Clan to search the area around Elephant Beast City for Sunxiao and Sangze.

But since the enemy could even alter her location, blocking the Phoenix Wing Clan from finding Sunxiao and Sangze probably wouldn’t be difficult for it.

Xijing thought Jin Ling had been very thorough.

“Did your father and the others agree?”

Jin Ling nodded. “As soon as I finished speaking, they set off for the tribe.”

“Let’s tell Xixi after she wakes up.”

“Okay. I’ll go to the inner city one more time to make the final preparations for our trip to Elephant Beast City.”

Qiao Xixi had woken up when Xijing got out of bed. Lying there, she could clearly hear the conversation between Jin Ling and Xijing.

When she heard that Qiao Yi and the others had already left for the tribe, she shot up in bed.
