Chapter 126: Chapter 126: The Doomsday of Blue Whale Town

"A large Pirate Gang is attacking, with at least five hundred men! It seems to be a new force, a merger of the Shell Pirate Gang and the Green Tree Pirate Gang."

The Guard explained urgently.

Baron Enton’s heart sank when he heard this.

Although he had long known that this year’s harsh winter would force smaller pirate groups to seek refuge with larger ones, Baron Enton had never expected two large Pirate Gangs to merge voluntarily.

This was a huge problem.

Even if the two Pirate Gangs hadn’t merged, a raid from just one of them would have been enough to devastate Blue Whale Town. Now that they had joined forces to attack, Blue Whale Town was likely facing a catastrophe.

A muscle in Baron Enton’s face twitched uncontrollably.

He forced himself to calm down. "What about Condas? What is he doing?"

"Condas is already at the coast, commanding the defense!"

the Guard replied.

Baron Enton’s expression was grim. He knew very well that all Condas could do right now was buy them some time.

The terrifying thing about this attacking Pirate Gang wasn’t their numbers, but the amount of Knight Level advanced combat power among them.

The Shell Pirate Gang alone had revealed five Knight Level experts during their recent attack on Viscount Babila’s Oyster City. And now, with the Green Tree Pirate Gang added to the mix...

Baron Enton didn’t dare to think about it any further. He ordered the Guard, "Go to the Personal Guard Bureau for me. Tell them they must prepare small-scale defensive systems within Blue Whale Town."

"Yes, sir!"

The Guard acknowledged the order and hurried out.

Warm sunlight streamed through the window, bathing Baron Enton in its glow, but he felt a chill run through his entire body.

’Should I flee this place...?’

Baron Enton’s resolve was wavering. He knew there was only one possible reason for two Pirate Gangs to attack Blue Whale Town without any warning.

They were doing it to build momentum for their merger.

And this first raid, meant to build that momentum, would undoubtedly be carried out with the most horrifying methods!

Facing a double-digit number of Knight Powerhouses, Blue Whale Town stood no chance.

From the moment he heard the news, Baron Enton had already despaired, foreseeing the inevitable outcome.

"No, I can’t leave this place!"

A look of grim resolve appeared in Baron Enton’s eyes.

Blue Whale Town was the fief his grandfather had earned through great merit, at the risk of his own life. If he were to abandon it now just because disaster was looming, not only would he be ridiculed by all the nobles and even the commoners, but he would also be failing his deceased grandfather and father.

"Hephar!"

Baron Enton had made his decision. He shouted the name.

A Personal Guard with a grim expression walked in. Hephar was the person Baron Enton trusted most, aside from his family and Jarvis.

"Take my wife and children to Diamond Town and ask for Baron Kels’s protection."

Baron Enton said, practically grinding his teeth.

"Lord Baron!"

Hephar was startled. The Baron was arranging an escape route.

’The battle of resistance has only just begun, and the Lord Baron is already preparing to give up?’

The situation was far more serious than Hephar had thought.

"Listen to me!" Baron Enton growled, his voice hoarse. "Take all of my treasures to Diamond Town as well. Leave one-tenth for my family. Give the other nine-tenths to Baron Kels!"

Baron Enton knew very well that his fleeing family would be unable to protect this fortune on their own.

Only by giving the lion’s share to Baron Kels could they hope to survive.

"And you? Lord Baron!"

Hephar had been by the Baron’s side for a long time; his loyalty went without saying.

"Me?"

Baron Enton’s eyes showed a flicker of surprise before a calm smile suddenly appeared on his face.

"I will live and die... with Blue Whale Town!"

...

「By the coast.」

The well-equipped Pirates displayed combat skills on par with the Guards of Blue Whale Town. As members of a large Pirate Gang, they were subject to quasi-military discipline, making them more than just a notch above the members of smaller gangs.

The coastal fishermen had seen that the situation was turning sour and had long since retreated into Blue Whale Town.

Only the Guards remained, charging forward to face the overwhelming odds.

Blades met, metal clashed, blood splattered, and bodies littered the ground.

The ebbing and flowing tide washed over the blood-red coast, dyeing the seafoam crimson.

On the deck of the lead ship, a man and a woman stood at the prow.

"To be honest, I still don’t understand why you chose to make an example of a small place like Blue Whale Town."

Casli looked down at the Pirates engaged in their brutal slaughter, his face remarkably calm.

Yavira smiled faintly, the sea breeze tangling the hair at her temples. "No particular reason. It’s just time for them to pay their debts."

Casli shook his head without saying much.

Even if Yavira didn’t say it, he could guess the gist of it. He figured that back when her husband’s family was destroyed, Blue Whale Town had played a less-than-honorable role.

’Of course, none of that matters anymore.’

’It doesn’t matter who we make an example of. I am now the sole master of the Green Shell Pirate Gang.’

After he agreed to Yavira’s terms, she had given up all her power as promised.

The key figures from the original Shell Pirate Gang had all been replaced in a complete overhaul, with the elites of the Green Tree Pirate Gang taking their spots.

If not for the thought of Yavira’s connections in the Sosen Duchy and the vision of a future three-thousand-strong Pirate Gang, Casli really would have wanted to break their agreement.

"Alright, let’s launch an all-out attack."

Yavira said suddenly.

Casli smiled slightly, hooking his forearm around Yavira’s waist. "As you wish."

"All-out attack!"

Casli gave the order for the final charge.

In an instant, several Knight Level experts, along with all the Pirates, disembarked simultaneously and launched the most ferocious assault on Blue Whale Town.

"Blue Whale Town... is finished!"

Disheveled and covered in blood, Condas saw the tide of Pirates and realized Blue Whale Town’s fate.

The next moment, a scar-faced man wielding a Wide-Backed Giant Sword hacked his way through the crowd and arrived in front of Condas.

"Sir Condas, I presume?" The man grinned, revealing a set of chilling teeth. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dabbit, from the Green Tree... no, from the Green Shell Navigation Team!"

Condas’s valiant fighting just now had already given away his identity.

"Dabbit?"

Condas instantly tightened his grip on his Knight’s Lance.

Dabbit. The strongest warrior in the Green Tree Pirate Gang besides Casli himself, said to be a Middle Knight who was infinitely close to becoming a Senior Knight.

His methods were exceptionally cruel. He would slaughter anyone, whether they were armed Guards or unarmed civilians. At least three hundred people had died by his hand; he was a notoriously infamous butcher.

"Alright, now that you know my name, it’s time I sent you on your way!"

Dabbit let out a great laugh, swung his Wide-Backed Giant Sword, and brought it down toward Condas’s head.
