I Tame Beasts by Feeding

Chapter 68 - 67: A Change in the Situation

Chapter 68: Chapter 67: A Change in the Situation

"Dead... he’s dead?"

"He was killed, just like that?"

Yu Zhiguo stared at the scene before him in disbelief.

A storm raged in Yu Changao’s heart. He looked at Yu Changsheng as if he were a monster, unable to comprehend how he had become so powerful.

’Beast Master... his beast!’

Yu Changao knew of the Red Snake King, but his knowledge of its final form, the Red Refining Snake, was vague. Still, that didn’t stop him from recognizing the terror of this giant serpent Demon Beast.

It had killed a Qi Refining Peak cultivator in a single bite!

"Fall back!"

Yu Changsheng roared at the two men, who were frozen in a daze. "Go help my father!"

Hearing this, Yu Zhiguo and Yu Changao instinctively obeyed.

When Chen Yuanbai saw the Red Refining Snake kill Chen Tianyun and devour him in one gulp, his eyes turned crimson, and he let out a furious roar.

"You beast!!!"

Eight Flying Sabers formed a line as they shot toward the Red Refining Snake.

Seeing this, the Red Refining Snake’s body immediately shimmered with blue light, its scales becoming slick and smooth.

Water Spirit Illusion Armor!

The eight Flying Sabers struck the Red Refining Snake’s body one after another but failed to cause much damage. Chen Yuanbai’s eyes widened in fury as he formed a hand seal, causing his Magical Artifact to emit a faint golden glow.

PFFT! This time, the golden light on the Flying Sabers pierced through the Water Spirit Illusion Armor, leaving a shallow gash on the Red Refining Snake’s skin.

Although the Water Spirit Illusion Armor could nullify most physical damage, it couldn’t block the Magic infused into the Flying Sabers.

"ROAR!" The Red Refining Snake bellowed in anger, violently whipping its tail to send several Flying Sabers flying while simultaneously opening its mouth to spew a jet of Flame.

Unfazed, Chen Yuanbai used Magic to disperse the Flame.

"Die!"

At the same time, other Chen Family disciples nearby saw Yu Changsheng standing there with no beast by his side. Killing intent flared in their eyes as they charged forward, one by one, using Sword Control.

"Iron Carving King!" Yu Changsheng shouted, forming a hand seal to summon his beast while simultaneously taking out the Fan of Extinction.

BANG—! A gust of wind kicked up, causing the two approaching Flying Swords to wobble in mid-air.

A flash of white light erupted as the Iron Carving King soared out of the Inner Realm. It seized the opportunity to close in on a Chen Family disciple at the Qi Refining Sixth Layer, folding its wings and shooting forward like an arrow.

Black Wind Slash!

PFFT! The Chen Family disciple was struck by the Black Wind Slash and went flying backward, spitting blood.

"Damn it!" The other Chen Family disciple saw that the situation had turned sour and tried to dodge.

But it was too late.

The Iron Carving King cut between them, its tail transforming into that of a fish. It whipped around, using the momentum of its spin to lash out at the other disciple.

BANG! The Shield the Chen Family disciple had just deployed shattered. His head was struck, smashing into pulp like a watermelon.

"Ahhh!" The other, heavily injured Qi Refining Sixth Layer Cultivator was terrified. Before he could even retreat, he was slammed to the ground by the Iron Carving King’s wing.

The Iron Carving King pinned him with one foot, opened its beak, and spat out a Wind Blade, severing his head.

In the blink of an eye, two Qi Refining Sixth Layer cultivators had died at the hands of the Iron Carving King. Its overwhelming power terrified the other Chen Family disciples, and for a moment, none dared to approach.

’Is that really a Beast Master? Why is he so strong?!’

Yu Changsheng’s Divine Sense swept across the area before his gaze fell upon the Red Refining Snake.

’A Qi Refining Peak cultivator is truly formidable. The Red Refining Snake alone probably won’t be enough to take him down!’

"Iron Carving King!"

At Yu Changsheng’s command, the Iron Carving King immediately understood. It flapped its wings and charged toward Chen Yuanbai.

Its Defense Force was not as high as the Red Refining Snake’s, however, so it didn’t dare to engage in close combat. Instead, it stayed at a distance, spitting Wind Blades to draw Chen Yuanbai’s attention.

PFFT!

A Wind Blade sliced through Chen Yuanbai’s Magic Robe, cutting his shoulder and making him grit his teeth in anger.

"Damn it! Where the hell did this Yu Family Beast Master come from? Why have I never heard of him before!"

Seizing the opening, the Red Refining Snake lunged forward and spat a cloud of poisonous mist at Chen Yuanbai and the Chen Family disciples behind him.

"Scatter!" Chen Yuanbai retreated rapidly while controlling his Flying Sabers, his face turning green.

But the other Chen Family disciples weren’t as quick to react. Their speed couldn’t match his, and they were soon enveloped by the poisonous mist. Their faces turned deathly pale, they coughed up blood, and they looked on the verge of collapse.

"Absorb!"

Just then, a Tang Family disciple holding a Great Cauldron landed in front of the poison mist. He formed a hand seal and pointed. A light glowed from within the Great Cauldron, sucking in the mist and concentrating it into an Elixir.

He had saved the Chen Family disciples just in time.

"Quick, take this Antitoxic Pill."

Every disciple of the Tang Family had some knowledge of pharmacology and toxins. They recognized the components of the poisonous mist at a glance and threw the Antitoxic Pills they carried to the others.

"My thanks," Chen Yuanbai said, before turning a dark, gloomy gaze toward Yu Changsheng.

The Red Refining Snake guarded the courtyard while the Iron Carving King stood on the roof, creating a standoff with the group of cultivators.

’This Beast Master has some tricks up his sleeve. He must be the one he was talking about.’

The Tang Family disciple’s eyes flickered, and he shouted, "I will help you kill this man."

"Good." Chen Yuanbai swallowed an Antitoxic Pill, recovering some of his strength. He looked at Yu Changsheng, his killing intent surging.

"A mere Qi Refining Sixth Layer practitioner dares to be so arrogant! Today, I’ll show you that my Chen Family is not to be trifled with!"

"Is that so?" Yu Changsheng said calmly. "Then let’s find out who dies first!"

"Today will be the day your Chen Family is annihilated!"

With a wave of Yu Changsheng’s hand, the Red Refining Snake charged forward first, with the Iron Carving King providing support from the side.

However, with the protection of the additional Tang Family disciple, Chen Yuanbai seemed to be having a much easier time. His Flying Sabers quickly began to inflict wound after wound on the Red Refining Snake.

Fortunately, the Red Refining Snake had thick skin and tough flesh; these injuries were not yet life-threatening.

But it seemed unlikely that a victor would be decided anytime soon.

Yu Changsheng’s gaze shifted toward Yu Taoran. His eyes sharp, he murmured, "’Xi Family, don’t disappoint me.’"

BANG!

"Hahaha! Old man, weren’t you acting all high and mighty? How come your sword has gotten so soft?"

The Great Cauldron hovered before Tang Tu Hong. He looked at the panting Yu Taoran and broke into a gleeful, wide-mouthed laugh.

Cooperating with Chen Mingze, he knew that even if they couldn’t kill Yu Taoran outright, they could simply drag out the fight and wear him down to his death.

And with his Great Cauldron for protection, as long as he was careful not to leave any openings, victory was assured.

After his bout of laughter, Tang Tu Hong’s smile suddenly vanished, replaced by a sinister expression. "Yu Taoran, don’t you worry," he said malevolently. "After you die, I’ll bury your entire clan right beside you. You can all be together."

Yu Taoran’s brow furrowed. He didn’t let the taunt provoke him. Instead, after dodging Chen Mingze’s Great Saber, he held his Wooden Sword and slowed his offense to conserve energy.

"Come on! Come on!" Chen Mingze roared, slashing at him with his saber. "You were so tough when you killed my grandson, weren’t you!"

Yu Taoran leaned away and retreated again. His sleeve was caught by the Sword Qi, shredding it and leaving his arm dripping with blood.

But just then, two figures flew in from a distance, drawing the attention of all three.

One of the figures intercepted Tang Tu Hong and spoke calmly.

"Does the Tang Family intend to interfere in the affairs of Bright Moon City?"
