Chapter 446: Chapter 330: Who’s the Pushover?

"So this is the third level of the Celestial Slaughter Secret Realm..."

Yu Changsheng’s brow furrowed as he took in his surroundings, but he felt no particular discomfort.

A deep, blood red was the sole hue of this realm. The land, the sky, the mountains, the forests—everything was bathed in it. Even the rivers flowed sluggishly, their water resembling blood, eerie to the extreme.

The air was thick with oppression, unease, and a sense of foreboding.

After a moment of contemplation to get his bearings, Yu Changsheng set off without delay. As he flew, his mind went over the information he had on the third level of the Celestial Slaughter Secret Realm.

While the third level of the Celestial Slaughter Secret Realm was smaller than the first two, its level of danger was drastically higher. It was the true heart of the entire Ancient Battlefield, and the place where the Blood Evil Qi was most concentrated.

The most significant difference lay in its inhabitants. Unlike the Evil Ghosts of the first two levels, the third was home to aberrant beings known as Blood Demon Generals. As their name implied, they were the commanding officers of the Evil Ghosts.

Needless to say, they were incredibly powerful. The weakest among them were at the Foundation Establishment realm, and a good number were at the Golden Core realm.

Therefore, unless one was supremely confident in their own strength, the average person wouldn’t dare venture to the third level, fearing it would be a one-way trip.

’Extraordinary places naturally give rise to extraordinary things. With such dense Blood Evil Qi, it’s not surprising that a Celestial and Earthly Treasure like the Blood Evil Golden Lotus could grow here.’

’The only question is whether it contains any Heavenly Dao Qi. I’ll have to go and see for myself...’

As Yu Changsheng pondered this, he glanced up at the blood-red sky, then suddenly stopped. His brow furrowed as he watched a churning mist of blood up ahead.

Ahead of him, a vast expanse of blood mist rolled forward with menacing momentum.

The mist wasn’t thick, allowing Yu Changsheng to see the scene within clearly. Inside were ranks of towering figures clad in savage, spiked Blood-colored Armor. They wielded Blood-Colored Long Sabers and spears. From beneath their visors, a pair of scarlet, brutal eyes stared out, devoid of any emotion, shining only with a bloodthirsty light.

The flesh visible beyond the armor was rotted, hinting at their great age and the hardships they’d endured. In some places, bone was visible, glinting with a cold light.

They let out guttural roars as they advanced, the bizarre sound carrying palpable Divine Soul fluctuations that swept out in all directions. The group, about twenty strong, marched in neat formation. Each figure radiated an endless crimson light that condensed into the mist, creating a vast, imposing presence and an astonishing pressure that seemed to suppress the very air.

’Blood Demon Generals?’

Yu Changsheng’s expression grew serious. Though wary, he remained calm and composed. With a wave of his sleeve, Red Purgatory materialized, coiling protectively around him.

ROOOOAR!

A powerful Dragon’s Roar echoed through the air as a draconic might burst forth, rippling outward.

"Evil Fire Purgatory!"

RUMBLE!

Red Purgatory’s body trembled, and in an instant, it shed an endless torrent of Evil Fire. The flames surged forward, washing over the Blood Demon Generals and creating a boundless Sea of Blood.

"AIIIIEE..."

For a moment, agonizing wails filled the air as the Blood Demon Generals froze and began to writhe on the ground in pain. However, two of them broke through the barrier of the Sea of Fire, roaring as they lunged at Yu Changsheng.

The auras erupting from these two Blood Demon Generals had already reached the Golden Core realm.

"Red Purgatory."

Yu Changsheng called out softly. Red Purgatory gave a piercing cry, its tail, wreathed in flames, lashing out viciously at the two Blood Demon Generals.

The Blood Demon Generals shuddered. Under the force of the blow, one of them instantly disintegrated, dissolving into wisps of Evil Qi. The other was knocked back, but the ferocity and bloodlust in its eyes only intensified. With a roar, it viciously thrust its blood-colored spear at Red Purgatory. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

The wind howled and space itself seemed to tremble. A human-like look of contempt filled the Red Purgatory Dragon Beast’s eyes. Its foreclaws splayed wide and, with a flash of red light, it swiped viciously at the charging Blood Demon General!

The blood-colored spear shattered as if struck by a razor’s edge. The Blood Demon General’s charge came to a halt in mid-air. A moment later, a crack slowly appeared, running from its forehead to its feet. This last Blood Demon General then completely disintegrated and vanished, and the churning blood mist in the area began to dissipate.

’Their strength isn’t bad,’ Yu Changsheng thought, assessing the scene. ’But they operate on pure instinct. Even with Golden Core-level power, how much of it can they truly wield? At this rate, as long as I don’t have to face too many at once, they won’t be a big problem.’

As he glanced around the scene, lost in thought, Yu Changsheng’s brow suddenly furrowed. He turned his head, and a dazzling golden brilliance flared in his hand, coalescing into a shimmering Golden Spear. Yu Changsheng opened his palm and pushed forward. At once, the Golden Spear transformed into a golden rainbow, streaking across the void to blast an empty spot to the east!

"You, hiding in the shadows! How long do you plan to watch from the sidelines?"

"Divine Radiance Toss!"

Space itself trembled as circular ripples spread out. This single attack condensed all the Qi Blood Power of Yu Changsheng’s Golden Core-level body. It moved like a streak of light, leaving a scar across the sky and even tearing space itself, which hummed in its wake.

BOOM!

Where the Golden Spear struck, the void rippled like a calm pond disturbed by a stone. The ripples spread, and space itself seemed to turn to glass, shattering piece by piece. A soft sound of surprise echoed out, and a hidden figure was suddenly revealed within the fractured air.

"Interesting. It seems you have some skill after all, to be ranked tenth."

The speaker was a young man dressed in white robes. He held a folding fan in one hand, waving it gently. He had handsome features, but his expression was filled with an unconcealable arrogance.
