I Summon Female Knights
Chapter 70: The Citadel Unbound
The quiet expanse of the Royal Treasury Vault inside The Iron Spire was filled with a brilliant, shimmering radiance that contrasted sharply with the dim obsidian walls.
Raphael stood near the central altar of the Dungeon Core. His broad six-foot-seven frame was clad in his dark tunic, his heavy void-silk coat draped over his broad shoulders, and his dual scabbard harness resting across his back. His luminous silver eyes watched the floating spatial matrix where the harvested materials from his recent ventures were displayed in glowing, high-resolution inventory nodes.
Beside him, Vanessa held her dark relic-staff anchored against the polished black marble floor, her violet eyes assessing the accumulated wealth. Surrounding the lower dais were the heavy steel crates containing the quantum server arrays, the B-Tier Heartwood Core from Sector 3, fifteen tons of petrified ironwood timber, and the encrypted black credit drive seized from Julian Drake.
"You have gathered an extraordinary foundation, Lord Raphael," Vanessa spoke smoothly, her silk-like voice echoing through the vast stone chamber. "The heartwood core contains dense, unrefined vegetative mana, while the encrypted keys hold the structural blueprints to Vanguard’s digital holdings. Fusing these assets into the Dungeon Core will alter the domain’s architecture permanently."
Raphael stepped forward, lifting his gauntleted right hand over the floating, crystalline Dungeon Core.
"Initialize domain upgrade," Raphael commanded, his voice carrying absolute, regal authority. "Integrate the B-Tier Heartwood Core into the lower foundation wards, and sync the server matrix with the core’s central energy distribution."
[DOMAIN UPGRADE INITIATED!]
[Consuming Resources: 1x B-Tier Heartwood Core, 1,500 Units Petrified Ironwood, Quantum Server Array Network...]
[Core Synchronization: 20%... 55%... 88%... 100% COMPLETE...]
[Domain Expansion: Tier 2 Outer Island Unlocked - The Sentinel Gardens]
[Defense Network: Kinetic Warding Matrix & Automated Stone Sentinels Online]
---
A thunderous shockwave of pure, silvery-violet spatial mana erupted from the Dungeon Core, pulsing outward through the floorboards, stone pillars, and vaulted ceilings of the entire castle.
The subterranean vault shook with a rhythmic, deep vibration as ancient stone mechanisms locked into place. High above, outside the main keep, the sky-shattered purple void roared as massive chunks of floating stone and primordial soil began to pull together.
Raphael turned on his heel and walked up the grand spiral staircase toward the upper battlements of The Iron Spire, his coat snapping softly behind his boots. Vanessa followed closely behind him, her dark robes sweeping across the steps while her staff pulsed with dark gravitational light.
When Raphael stepped onto the grand outer balcony overlooking the domain, the landscape had transformed dramatically.
Beyond the black obsidian walls and gothic towers of the primary keep, a second massive floating island had materialized in the violet expanse. Connected to the main castle bridge by an ancient, stone-arched causeway, the Sentinel Gardens stretched across three square miles of floating terrain.
Unlike the stark, dark obsidian of the central keep, this new outer tier was covered in dense, dark-green ironwood groves grown directly from the harvested heartwood core. Towering petrified trees, their bark as dense as reinforced steel, formed a natural, impassable perimeter along the island’s edge. Interspersed among the ironwood groves were twelve giant, stone-carved sentinels sitting motionless upon high marble pedestals, their carved eyes burning with sickly green vegetative mana.
[DEFENSE SYSTEM ACTIVATED: SENTINEL GARDENS]
- Perimeter Defense: Petrified Ironwood Ward Line (Physical Impact Reduction +40%)
- Active Guardians: 12x Automated Stone Sentinels (B-Tier Kinetic Constructs)
- Energy Yield: Passive Mana Generation increased by 200 Units/Hour

Raphael walked up to the edge of the stone balcony, leaning his gauntleted hand against the cold marble balustrade as he surveyed his expanding kingdom.
The air within the domain had grown thicker, saturated with rich, clean mana that nourished the soil and reinforced the structural integrity of every tower. The twelve automated stone sentinels on the outer island were anchored directly to the castle’s core, capable of awakening instantly to pulverize any intruder who managed to breach the spatial boundary.
"It is magnificent, Sovereign," Vanessa whispered, coming to stand at his right side. "The domain is no longer merely a hidden sanctuary. It is becoming an impenetrable fortress kingdom."
"It’s a start," Raphael said calmly, his silver eyes reflecting the glowing green light of the distant ironwood groves. "A fortress without resources is just an isolated cage. Now that our defenses are locked, we turn our attention back to Sector 1."
Raphael pulled the black encrypted credit drive seized from Drake out of his coat, turning the sleek metal object between his fingers.
"Julian Drake confirmed that Vanguard Coalition’s off-grid reserve is stored in Vault ALT-5 beneath the Old Federal Mint," Raphael continued, his deep voice smooth and calculated. "Marcus Sterling believes his company is suffering from bad publicity and market audits. He has no idea that his private slush fund is about to vanish."
"Shall I prepare the Warmaster and the Shadow-Guards for a full breach, my Lord?" Vanessa asked.
"No," Raphael replied, a faint, dangerous smile touching the corner of his dark lips. "A loud assault alerts the Bureau and gives Sterling an excuse to claim insurance damages. We are going to enter silently, drain every core and credit chip in that vault, and plant false digital tracks pointing directly to his primary rival- the Apex Guild."
Vanessa’s violet eyes lit up with cold admiration. "A corporate shadow war. They will tear each other apart in the public eye while we harvest their wealth in total silence."
"Precisely," Raphael said, slipping the drive back into his pocket.
He turned away from the balcony, looking toward the dark throne resting inside the grand hall. The Iron Spire was growing stronger with every passing day, its roots digging deep into both ancient spatial magic and modern digital infrastructure.
Raphael walked back into the keep, his heavy boots echoing through the halls as he prepared his gear for the Sector 1 operation.
The corporate lords of Jiston thought they controlled the city from their glass skyscrapers. They were about to learn that their entire world was built on sand, and Raphael was about to sweep the floor beneath their feet.
If it were a month ago, he would’ve never thought of this. But now, he was not Raphael Matthews. He was Lord Raphael Matthews.
