I Summon Female Knights
Chapter 67: Spatial Overwrite
The air in the central transit plaza stood completely still.
The heavy, three-ton petrified timber club remained locked in mid-air, held effortlessly by the gauntleted left palm of the hooded giant. Below his dark boots, the asphalt was cracked into a spiderweb of deep fissures, but Raphael hadn’t shifted a single millimeter.
The Ironwood Sentinel let out a grinding, mechanical screech of wood friction, its hollow eye sockets flaring with violent green mana, and its four petrified root-whips snapping through the air from the right, aiming to impale Raphael’s torso and drag him to the stone.
Raphael didn’t even look at the incoming whips. He rather mapped the trajectory of every branch, every root-fiber, and the precise location of the glowing heartwood core embedded deep within the creature’s chest cavity.
With a subtle, fluid twist of his wrist, Raphael exerted a fraction of his physical force through the Sovereign’s Shadow-Grip Gauntlet.
CRACK-SHATTER!
The massive petrified club, dense enough to absorb thermal plasma rounds, exploded into a shower of splintered black timber under his bare grip. Before the shattered fragments could hit the ground, Raphael executed Tier 4: Spatial-Split Flurry.
He kept his Sovereign’s Veil tightly pinned around his soul, ensuring no divine or high-tier aura leaked to the Bureau’s distant regional monitoring satellites. Instead, he funneled pure, hyper-compressed kinetic momentum straight into the matte-black adamantine edges of the Vanguard of the Eclipse set.
ZIP-ZIP-ZIP-BOOM!
The movements of his blades were completely invisible to the human eye. To Officer Elena, who lay on the wet asphalt ten feet away, the hooded man simply shifted his stance, and then the world in front of him shattered.
Four razor-thin, silvery-violet spatial arcs cut through the spore-choked air simultaneously.
The spatial cuts paid no heed to the Sentinel’s hyper-dense petrified bark, its kinetic-absorption properties, or its reinforced wood grain. The cuts cleaved straight through physical reality, passing seamlessly through the four incoming root-whips, the creature’s thick wooden shoulders, and its massive chest plate.
The four root-whips collapsed onto the concrete, cleanly severed into dozens of neat cylinders. The fifteen-foot Ironwood Sentinel froze. The sickly green glow burning inside its hollow chest cavity sputtered once, twice, and then went completely dark.
SLIDE-THUD.
The upper half of the massive construct slipped diagonally off its lower torso, crashing onto the pavement in a heavy, thunderous heap that shook dust from the nearby overpass. The petrified bark instantly lost its dark, polished iron luster, drying out into grey, brittle ash that crumbled beneath the falling rain.
The entire fight had lasted less than three seconds.

- Harvestable Items: 1x Refined Heartwood Core / 1,500 Units Petrified Ironwood
- System Notice: Core successfully absorbed into Spatial Inventory

In the center of the crumbling wooden remains, a plum-sized, glowing green gem hovered briefly in the air, the pristine B-Tier Heartwood Core.
Raphael extended his gauntleted hand, and with a silent pull of his spatial storage, the glowing core vanished into thin air, transferred directly to the vaults of The Iron Spire.
Silence descended over the transit plaza, broken only by the hiss of the steady drizzle washing away the dark green sap on the pavement.
Behind him, Officer Elena sat frozen against the retaining wall, her breathing shallow, her cracked visor displaying endless red error warnings as her suit’s diagnostic software frantically tried to comprehend what had just transpired.

[Error: No Mana Signature Detected]

"Who... what are you...?" Elena whispered, her voice trembling as she stared up at the towering, broad-backed silhouette standing before her. "Your suit... You don’t have a mana core... your signature is zero..."
Raphael slowly turned his head to look at her over his shoulder.
Beneath the deep shadow of his void-silk hood, his sharp, carved jawline was set in an unyielding line, and his silver eyes burned through the dim rain with a quiet, icy luminescence that made Elena’s heart skip a beat.
"You are looking for answers in the wrong place, Officer," Raphael said, his deep, resonant baritone cutting through the quiet night air with absolute, terrifying calm. "Tell Captain Vale that if he continues to let the Bureau’s board dictate his field deployments, Sector 3 won’t be the last perimeter he loses."
Elena swallowed hard, her mouth completely dry. "Wait!"
Raphael didn’t give her a chance to ask another question.
He took a single step backward into the thick shadow cast by the collapsed transit overpass. Driven by his connection to the Dungeon Core, the invisible secondary Waypoint Gate behind him opened silently.
ZIP.
A soft, subtle ripple of silvery-violet spatial mana enveloped him, and in the blink of an eye, the mysterious hooded wanderer vanished from the plaza entirely, leaving behind only the crumbling ash of the B-Tier apex construct and the echoing silence of the rain.
Ten seconds later, the loud, rhythmic thrumming of heavy tactical rotors filled the sky as three Bureau armored transports breached the fog above the overpass, spotlighting the transit plaza in blinding white light.
A team of ten heavily armed Bureau strike officers rappelled down from the transports, their rifles raised as they secured the perimeter. Captain Vale himself descended from the lead transport, his heavy coat snapping in the wind as his dark boots hit the wet concrete.
Vale rushed directly to Elena’s side, helping her to her feet. "Elena! Report! Where is the B-Tier apex entity?!"
Elena looked past Captain Vale, her eyes locked onto the empty shadow beneath the overpass where the stranger had stood moments ago.
"It’s dead, Director," Elena said softly, her voice still shaken.
Vale froze, looking around at the pulverized ash and cleanly sliced roots surrounding the plaza. "Dead? Did Vanguard Guild’s heavy artillery hit it from the ridge?"
"No," Elena replied, turning her cracked visor toward Vale. "It was the same one, Director. The ’Unknown’ from the Hiwo depot. He walked in, caught a three-ton petrified club with his bare hand, and sliced the core in three seconds."
Vale’s eyes narrowed sharply, a cold sweat breaking out across his neck as he looked at the cleanly sliced asphalt. "Did you get a mana scan?"
"Zero," Elena whispered. "His signature was completely zero. And... he left a message for you."
Vale stepped closer, his jaw tightening. "What message?"
"’Tell Captain Vale that if he continues to let the Bureau’s board dictate his field deployments, Sector 3 won’t be the last perimeter he loses.’"
Captain Vale stood silent in the rain for a long moment, staring at the empty shadows of the overpass while the red emergency lights flashed across his grim face.
...
Deep below the surface, inside the cavernous throne room of The Iron Spire, the spatial mirror rippled with violet light.
Raphael stepped out of the portal, pulling back his hood to let his messy dark hair fall naturally over his forehead. He unstrapped his dual adamantine blades, placing them back onto the weapons rack beside the throne.
Vanessa stepped forward from the shadows, bowing her head deeply as she held her dark relic-staff.
"Welcome back, Sovereign," Vanessa spoke smoothly, a subtle, cold smile touching her dark lips. "The quantum servers confirm the complete collapse of the Sector 3 rift. The Heartwood Spire and the apex core have been secured in the lower vault."
"Good," Raphael said, his deep voice echoing through the vaulted gothic arches of his castle. He walked up the marble steps and took his seat upon the dark obsidian throne, resting his elbow on the armrest as he looked out over his domain. "The Bureau is chasing shadows, Sector 3 is cleared, and our fortress defenses are stronger than ever."
Raphael folded his hands together, his luminous silver eyes reflecting the eternal purple skies of the Sky-Shattered Vault.
"Now... let’s see what the Vanguard Coalition does next."
