Didn't the Buddhist Sect emphasize compassion and purity of the six senses?

Then he would make sure the fellow could never attain peace.

The more he wanted to cultivate his mind, the more irritated he would become.

The more he tried to suppress his heart demons, the more Gu Yan would help stir them up.

With that thought, Gu Yan's mind moved, and a strand of divine will crossed the myriad worlds, transmitting itself to Nether Soul, his External Incarnation in the Spirit Realm.

The general meaning was simple: whenever there was nothing else to do, use the divine ability 《Great Luo Heaven Five Elements Heavenly Fate Divine Curse》 to remotely mess with Jingxin Arhat's state of mind.

There was no need to take his life. It was enough to make him unable to find peace day or night, with heart demons erupting constantly, qi deviation occurring during cultivation, distracting thoughts flooding his mind while meditating, and endless nightmares haunting his sleep.

There was no need to be too ruthless. Once every few days would suffice.

Let him understand that offending someone he should not have offended carried consequences beyond what he could bear.

Nether Soul received the message and indicated his understanding.

After giving the instruction, Gu Yan turned his thoughts toward another matter.

He was now in the Immortal King Realm Second Layer. Although he was still far from the Immortal Emperor Realm, he could not remain shut inside his grotto-heaven forever, blindly cultivating behind closed doors.

The matter with the Buddhist Sect had reminded him of something.

Without a force of his own in the Immortal Realm, he would always remain passive.

Today an Arhat came.

Tomorrow it might be a Bodhisattva.

The day after that, perhaps even a Buddha would come knocking.

Although he was not afraid, it was still endlessly annoying.

Rather than dealing with such troubles over and over again, it would be better to act proactively and place his own pieces upon the board of the Immortal Realm.

Therefore, it was time for his incarnations to establish a force in the Immortal Realm.

With a thought, Gu Yan summoned two incarnations.

The first was his Good Body, Great Unity Venerable, Fang Yuan.

The second was his Self Body, Dragon Lord.

The two had previously been developing that so-called Great Unity Alliance of the Heavens and Myriad Worlds within the Eternal World Tree of the Heavens.

The World Tree had already grown quite lush.

Its branches twisted powerfully, while its leaves were verdant and thriving.

Upon careful counting, it already possessed five or six leaves.

Each leaf represented an independent world.

Unfortunately, these worlds were all merely small worlds.

Although they possessed some extraordinary power, they were of little assistance to a cultivator of Gu Yan's level.

At most, they could provide him with some power of faith and golden light of merit.

Better than nothing, but only barely.

Gu Yan first looked toward Dragon Lord and instructed,

“You will go to the Immortal Realm and establish the Heavenly Court.”

This was not a sudden idea.

He had planned it for many years.

Within the Immortal Realm, countless factions stood divided and entrenched.

There was the Immortal Court of the east, ruled by the Azure Emperor, governing countless immortal domains.

There was the Buddhist Sect of the west, led by Datongguang Buddha, with Spirit Mountain stretching endlessly and Buddhist chants echoing without cease.

There was the Demon Court of the south, where powerful demon race experts gathered, standing as equals to the Immortal Court.

There were also the Divine Court, the Demon Court, and numerous scattered independent immortal domains, each ruled by its own overlord.

But if one looked carefully, what would they find?

There was an Immortal Court.

A Divine Court.

A Demon Court.

A Buddhist Sect.

Everything was present except for one thing.

A Heavenly Court.

How could that be allowed?

Across the myriad worlds, the supreme authority should be the Heavenly Emperor governing all under heaven. That was the true orthodoxy.

Although Gu Yan did not particularly care about such titles, if he was going to build a faction, he might as well build the grandest one.

If others had something, he would have it too.

And if others lacked something, he would still have it.

Besides, back when Dragon Lord had been plundering spiritual herbs and spiritual flowers throughout the Spirit Realm, he had already gone around using the title of Lord of the Heavenly Court.

At that time, his cultivation had only been at the Integration Realm and Mahayana Realm, yet he already dared to call himself the Lord of the Heavenly Court.

Whenever he met a sect elder, he would raise his nose toward the sky, acting as though he were the Heavenly Emperor himself.

Now it was time to make that identity a reality.

Gu Yan then looked toward Fang Yuan and continued,

“As for you, go and establish the Great Unity Alliance of the Heavens and Myriad Worlds throughout every middle world within our fundamental great world.”

Beneath this fundamental great world existed numerous middle worlds.

The Spirit Realm, Demon Realm, Demon Realm of the demon race, Ghost Realm, Heavenly Origin Realm, and many others all belonged to this category.

Though differing in size and inhabitants, they shared one common characteristic.

Chaos.

Especially the Spirit Realm and the Demon Realm.

Human survival there was difficult, and life was constantly uncertain.

In the Spirit Realm, the demon race caused endless trouble.

In the Demon Realm, demons ran rampant.

Whether ordinary mortals or low-level cultivators, life was hard for all of them.

Gu Yan felt it was time to bring them the love of Great Unity.

Well...

Primarily peace.

Fang Yuan possessed a gentle temperament and excelled at enlightenment and guidance.

The task suited him perfectly.

After thinking for a moment, Gu Yan added,

“Fang Yuan, when you go to the Spirit Realm, have Nether Soul work alongside you.”

“He should start moving around as well. Staying behind the rear mountain all day, he's practically growing mushrooms.”

The two incarnations accepted the orders and stood quietly to one side, waiting for further instructions.

Gu Yan did not send them off immediately.

Instead, he first took out numerous treasures and handed them all to Dragon Lord.

Some had been obtained long ago through 《Fortune-Blessed Immortal Lord》 and had remained idle within his grotto-heaven.

Others had later been replicated through the power of his grotto-heaven's creation.

Their grades varied.

Most of them were useless to him anyway.

Keeping them would only allow them to gather dust.

It was better to let Dragon Lord bring them to the Immortal Realm as the initial foundation of the Heavenly Court.

However, those were not the important part.

The truly important item was the last one.

Gu Yan removed a set of equipment from his own body and solemnly handed it to Dragon Lord.

It was the Chaos Set.

Its full name was:

《Chaos Primordial Xuanhuang Hongmeng Creation Limitless Primordial Unity Universe Mountain River Nation Heaven Earth Human Three Talents Four Symbols Five Elements Six Harmonies Seven Stars Eight Trigrams Nine Palaces Evil-Repelling Demon-Suppressing Dao-Protecting Dharma Guardian Divine Light Ruyi Treasure Clothing Set》

The set consisted of five pieces.

When all five pieces were worn together, they could withstand every attack below the Immortal Emperor Realm.

Whether Dao techniques, divine abilities, magic treasures, or formations, any attack that had not reached the Immortal Emperor Realm could not harm the wearer in the slightest.

Now, Gu Yan entrusted the set to Dragon Lord.

After putting on each piece, Dragon Lord's aura rose sharply.

With a slight movement of his will, the Chaos Set instantly transformed into an imperial robe of supreme majesty.

At a single glance, he appeared like the Heavenly Emperor descending into the world.

Gu Yan estimated that Dragon Lord already possessed roughly seventy percent of his own strength.

With the addition of this set, he could even exchange blows with beings at the level of Buddhas and Immortal Emperors.

Nevertheless, Gu Yan still gave a reminder.

“When you reach the Immortal Realm, don't be too arrogant at first. Take things slowly and proceed step by step. Build the foundation before anything else.”

Dragon Lord asked,

“What foundation?”

Gu Yan replied,

“Find a spiritual mountain and blessed land to serve as your base. Then gradually recruit people, establish your organization, and build your reputation.”

“The Heavenly Court won't be built in a single day. First put up the framework, then fill it with substance.”

“If you make enemies everywhere from the beginning, that isn't building a Heavenly Court. That's courting death.”

“I am only in the Immortal King Realm Second Layer right now. Even with all kinds of divine equipment, I still cannot kill an Immortal Emperor-level existence.”

“If you recklessly provoke enemies and attract a coalition of Immortal Emperors, I'll have to clean up your mess.”

Dragon Lord laughed awkwardly and said no more.

The so-called foundation was simply establishing a stable foothold.

The Immortal Realm was not the Spirit Realm.

The major powers there had deep roots and solid foundations.

Acting rashly would only turn him into a target for everyone.

For Dragon Lord, the first priority was finding a suitable mountain to settle down and then slowly planning future development.

Once Gu Yan's cultivation reached great success in the future, the Heavenly Court could rise naturally and rule over the Immortal Realm.

Ascending to the heavens in a single step had never been a lasting path.

Steady and gradual progress was the proper way.

Having finished all his instructions, Gu Yan waved his hand and dismissed the two incarnations, allowing each to carry out their respective tasks.

The pieces that needed to be placed had already been placed.

The orders that needed to be given had already been given.

Watching the two depart, Gu Yan turned around and resumed his cultivation.
