He only needed to quietly cultivate in peace.

However, on this day, some movement arose outside Longevity Hall.

That surprised him slightly.

Within this grotto heaven, there were almost none who dared come disturb his secluded cultivation outside Longevity Hall.

Gu Yan extended his divine sense, then paused in slight surprise.

Outside Longevity Hall, the Nine-Revolution Profound Heaven Wondrous Splendor Immortal Lotus was currently radiating a hazy glow.

The lotus petals trembled gently as spiritual energy surged.

Within the lotus core, a tiny figure was slowly condensing into form.

Gu Yan stood up and walked outside the hall.

Standing beside the lotus pond, he quietly watched the scene before him.

The Nine-Revolution Profound Heaven Wondrous Splendor Immortal Lotus was something he had obtained back then from the Fortune-Blessed Immortal Lord red entry.

He remembered very clearly that the lotus possessed nine layers of petals, with one layer blooming every thousand years. For all nine layers to bloom completely required nine thousand years.

When the flower fully bloomed, a spirit would be born within the lotus core, known as the Wondrous Splendor Fairy.

This spirit was naturally close to the Great Dao. If carefully nurtured, then after ten thousand years it could transform into a true flower fairy, possessing a foundation not weaker than a Golden Immortal.

But now...

He calculated the time.

It had not even been five hundred years since he obtained this lotus.

So how was it already giving birth to a spirit?

Gu Yan felt astonished as his gaze fell upon the gradually forming little figure.

A moment later, the lotus petals fully unfolded.

Within the lotus core sat a little girl who appeared around five or six years old.

Her figure was petite, her skin white as snow, and her long hair cascaded loosely behind her. Her delicate features looked as though they had stepped straight out of a painting.

Only her expression...

Was rather cold and aloof.

Despite her young age, there was hardly any expression on her face.

She sat quietly within the lotus core, neither crying nor making noise, merely silently observing her surroundings.

Gu Yan examined her cultivation.

Foundation Establishment.

Although weak, at least she possessed Foundation Establishment cultivation immediately upon transforming.

He had originally thought this lotus would directly nurture some great fairy into existence.

Unexpectedly, it turned out to be a little girl instead.

For a moment, Gu Yan felt somewhat disappointed.

Standing by the pond, he exchanged gazes with the little girl for a while.

The little girl also remained silent, quietly looking at him with cool, clear eyes that carried quite a bit of immortal elegance.

After a moment of silence, Gu Yan raised his hand and used immortal essence magic power to condense a small set of clothes, gently sending them before the little girl.

The little girl lowered her head to look at the clothes, then raised her head to look at Gu Yan before finally standing up slowly and accepting them.

Although her movements were slow, they were very neat and efficient. In just a few motions, she finished dressing herself.

It was a light green dress that complemented her jade-like skin very beautifully.

After putting on the clothes, the little girl stepped out from the lotus core and landed beside the pond.

She looked up at Gu Yan and spoke.

“The aura on your body… feels very close to me.”

Her voice was cold and clear, carrying a trace of childish softness.

After a pause, she added, “Are you my father?”

Hearing this, Gu Yan’s emotions became even more complicated.

How had he suddenly become a father for no reason?

He should be the master instead, shouldn’t he?

Previously, that girl Honglian also liked calling him father, and now this one was doing the same.

Did all lotus-type beings like treating the first person they saw as their father?

Sigh, forget it.

Father it was then.

Gu Yan nodded.

Seeing him nod, although the little girl’s expression barely changed, her eyes visibly brightened slightly.

She asked again, “Father, what is my name?”

Gu Yan thought for a moment.

Wondrous Splendor Fairy.

She had originally been born from this lotus anyway, and the name already existed.

“Would Miaohua be acceptable?”

Upon hearing the name, the little girl tilted her head slightly, as though savoring it.

A moment later, she nodded.

“Good.”

Gu Yan looked at the little girl and silently calculated things in his heart.

He himself certainly had no time to raise children while cultivating.

He needed to find someone to take care of her.

On Taiyi Dao Sect’s side, there just happened to be a ready-made candidate.

He bent down and picked Miaohua up.

The little girl’s body was light and weightless. When she was lifted, her body stiffened slightly, but she quickly relaxed and quietly leaned against his chest.

Gu Yan’s figure moved as he headed toward Taiyi Dao Sect.

......

Taiyi Dao Sect, within a secluded courtyard.

Hu Tao sat in the courtyard holding a Dao scripture, reading until she was nearly falling asleep.

The girl Honglian squatted in the yard, using a branch to tease ants on the ground.

The two of them, one big and one small, lived quite leisurely.

Gu Yan’s figure descended into the courtyard.

Hu Tao jolted upright in surprise.

“Martial Uncle?”

Honglian also tossed away the branch and ran over, looking up at Gu Yan as she sweetly called out, “Father!”

Gu Yan nodded toward them and set Miaohua down from his arms.

“This is Miaohua. I’ll leave her in your care from now on.”

Hu Tao lowered her head to look at the exquisitely adorable little girl before her, then looked at Gu Yan, then at Honglian beside him. The corners of her mouth twitched slightly.

“Martial Uncle, this is... another one you picked up?”

“Not picked up. She was nurtured from the lotus in front of Longevity Hall.”

Gu Yan gave a simple explanation before introducing Hu Tao to Miaohua.

“This is Hu Tao. You’ll follow her from now on.”

Miaohua looked up at Hu Tao and slightly nodded without speaking.

Hu Tao crouched down and examined Miaohua, then glanced at Honglian beside her before sighing helplessly.

“Martial Uncle, this little girl won’t also stay unable to grow up like Honglian, right?”

Hearing this, Gu Yan’s gaze shifted toward Honglian.

Honglian blinked innocently.

This one had been at Immortal King Realm in her previous life, yet nearly a hundred years had already passed in this life, and she still remained in the form of a little girl.

It seemed those injuries truly were difficult to recover from.

However, Gu Yan suddenly thought of a problem.

Honglian had reincarnated from the Nine-Revolution Reincarnation Immortal Lotus. That lotus had originally remained by Honglian’s side the entire time, but later, after he entrusted Honglian to Hu Tao’s care, the lotus remained behind outside Longevity Hall.

Could it be that because the lotus was no longer by her side, Honglian’s recovery had encountered problems?

The more Gu Yan thought about it, the more possible it seemed.

He could not help feeling somewhat embarrassed.

Lightly coughing, he comforted her.

“Taking care of one is taking care of them anyway. Taking care of two is the same. There may even be more for you to care for in the future.”

When he said this, he was thinking about his Creation Spirit Tree.

That tree could also nurture living beings, although none had been born yet.

Who knew whether it would produce children in the future, or directly transform into adults.

After hearing this, Hu Tao’s expression became extremely colorful.

Even more?

She opened her mouth as though wanting to say something, but ultimately swallowed her words back down.

Forget it. Whatever Martial Uncle said went.

Gu Yan looked at Hu Tao’s expression, which clearly wanted to speak yet stopped herself, and smiled.

“I won’t make you help for nothing.”

He raised his hand, and a flash of light appeared in his palm as a small bell materialized.

The bell was entirely silver-white, engraved with intricate patterns that emitted a faint glow beneath the sunlight.

“This item is called the Heavenly Sound Clear Heart Bell.” Gu Yan handed the bell to Hu Tao.

“It’s an immortal magic treasure. When shaken, it produces an extremely pleasant sound capable of calming the mind and increasing cultivation. It offers considerable assistance to cultivation.”

Of course, to him, the item was already useless.

But giving it to Hu Tao was perfect.

Hu Tao accepted the bell and gently shook it.

A crisp bell tone rang out, like clear spring water striking stone, like a breeze brushing against hanging bells.

She immediately felt her spiritual platform become clear, while the spiritual energy around her body became far more active.

“A good treasure!” Hu Tao’s eyes brightened as she fondled the bell lovingly. “Thank you, Martial Uncle!”

Gu Yan nodded and then looked toward Honglian nearby.

He raised his hand and cast a divine ability.

A moment later, a streak of red light flew over from the direction of Longevity Hall and landed in his palm.

It was precisely the Nine-Revolution Reincarnation Red Lotus.

The lotus was dazzlingly beautiful, with droplets of dew still clinging to its petals while faint spiritual light radiated from it.

Gu Yan shrank the red lotus into a tiny form and gently placed it atop Honglian’s head.

Honglian reached up to touch the flower on her head, and a bright smile blossomed across her face.

“So pretty!”

Gu Yan bent down and patted her head.

The feeling was quite good.

Nearby, Miaohua quietly watched the scene without speaking.

However, Gu Yan caught a glimpse of her expression from the corner of his eye.

Although that cool little face still displayed little emotion, her eyes were clearly fixed upon the flower atop Honglian’s head.

Gu Yan immediately understood.

This little girl might not say anything aloud, but inwardly she wanted one too.

Smiling slightly, he straightened up, and another flash of light appeared in his palm.

A tiny jade pendant appeared in his hand.

The pendant was entirely emerald green, with a lotus pattern carved upon it.

“This item is called the Spirit-Nurturing Heart-Protecting Pendant.” Gu Yan handed the jade pendant to Miaohua.

“It’s also an immortal magic treasure. Wearing it can nurture the soul and protect the heart meridians.”

Miaohua accepted the pendant, and the coolness in her eyes noticeably softened with additional brightness.

Gu Yan then gave several more instructions.

“Miaohua has only just transformed and still understands very little. Teach her more things,” he said to Hu Tao.

“Whether cultivating or playing normally, just keep her by your side.”

Hu Tao nodded.

“Martial Uncle, don’t worry. I understand.”

Gu Yan then took out three jade talismans and handed one each to Hu Tao, Honglian, and Miaohua.

“If you encounter any problems, crush the jade talisman and you’ll be able to contact me.”

All three nodded together.

After finishing his instructions, Gu Yan glanced once more at Miaohua.

Speaking of which, he actually was not particularly surprised by Miaohua’s premature birth.

Too many good things had been placed beside that Nine-Revolution Profound Heaven Wondrous Splendor Immortal Lotus.

The Nine Qi Returning to Origin Tree constantly absorbed and exhaled nine kinds of spiritual qi day and night, nourishing every corner of the Supreme Creation Lesser Luo Grotto Heaven.

At the same time, the Illusory Dao Seed of Chaos Planting a Green Lotus had also been subtly influencing everything around it.

Perhaps it was precisely because of those two items that Miaohua was able to be born ahead of time.

At least this saved him several thousand years of waiting.

Gu Yan withdrew his gaze and moved, returning toward Longevity Hall.

To him, today’s matter was merely a small interlude.

Cultivation still had to continue.

Behind him, Hu Tao watched Gu Yan’s departing figure.

Then she lowered her head to look at the quiet little Miaohua before her, then glanced at little Honglian nearby, who was smugly touching the red lotus on top of her head.

She sighed, crouched down, and revealed a smile toward Miaohua.

“Come on then, little Miaohua. Big Sister will take you around for a tour.”
