Chapter 614: Chapter 614: I’ll Stick Around Until Every Last One of You Dies of Old Age
Claire Sinclair unflinchingly stared back and said with a smile, "Mrs. Quincy, I know you despise me because your precious daughter was sentenced to ten years in prison on my account. I don’t expect your approval. But I’d like to ask the four elders: Yara Quincy beat the unborn twins in my womb to death. Doesn’t she deserve to be locked up?"
Mrs. Quincy was taken aback and asked urgently, "What twins are you talking about?"
Claire Sinclair narrowed her eyes, a layer of fury clouding their depths. "The time your precious daughter caused me to miscarry, I was pregnant with twins. Two lives. Do you really think ten years is too harsh?"
Mrs. Quincy faltered, momentarily speechless.
Claire Sinclair then turned to the others and continued, "You want me to divorce Mr. Quincy? You’ll have to kill me and the child in my belly first. Otherwise, even if we fight to the point of no return, I will never divorce him. I’m going to stick to him for the rest of my life—until every last one of you dies of old age!"
With that said, Claire Sinclair had no intention of wasting any more time and turned to walk out.
’I can’t be bothered with who’s impersonating Mrs. Quincy, but those four old men can’t possibly be fake. This is my stance, and I will absolutely not compromise.’
After returning to her seat, Claire Sinclair considered telling The Great Demon King Quincy about what had just happened, but on second thought, she decided against it.
’We’ve already agreed to stage a fight to make ’Mrs. Quincy’ show her true colors. I just have to be patient and see what he does.’

The moment she got off work the next afternoon, Claire Sinclair immediately took Theo Rhodes with her to The Golden Brocade Palace to pick up Ivy Tanner.
The eternally curious Theo Rhodes spent the entire trip trying to wheedle information out of her. "Master, I’m begging you, just tell me! What on earth are you and my uncle up to?"
"My uncle never throws these kinds of boring celebration banquets, and he even invited me to come along. He’s freaking me out!"
"Master, don’t tell me my uncle actually agreed to date Third Miss Tanner?"
Claire Sinclair glanced up at him and said with a grin, "You’ll find out tonight."
Theo Rhodes: "..."
’The suspense is killing me.’
A few minutes later, the car arrived at The Golden Brocade Palace.
Claire Sinclair got out of the car by herself and went into the villa. She specifically took Ivy Tanner upstairs, picked out a form-fitting, pink puffy dress for her, and even helped put her hair up in a bun.
After changing, Ivy Tanner’s entire demeanor changed. She looked as pure and lovely as a high school student. If you didn’t know beforehand that she was intellectually disabled, you would never guess anything was wrong with her.
The two returned to the car and set off for their destination—Lucas Rhodes’s private residence.
Unlike the ostentatious luxury of The Golden Brocade Palace, Lucas Rhodes’s private residence was understated. The style leaned toward the traditional, with antique architecture and even a wooden pavilion, making one feel as if they had traveled back to ancient times.
’No wonder Mr. Quincy said Lucas Rhodes was a man of good breeding; living in a house like this really shows it.’
Everyone got out of the car. Claire Sinclair first exchanged some pleasantries with Lucas Rhodes, then pulled Theo Rhodes aside, giving Lucas and Ivy Tanner some space. She also left two bodyguards behind to keep watch, just in case anything happened to Ivy.
In the backyard pavilion, only Lucas Rhodes and Ivy Tanner remained. Outside the pavilion stood Lucas’s assistant, Ayla Ryan, and Claire Sinclair’s two bodyguards.
Lucas Rhodes got straight to the point. "I’m crippled and have limited mobility. Are you willing to marry me?"
Ivy Tanner was stunned. She hadn’t expected him to be so direct. ’Claire must have briefed him,’ she thought, and answered just as bluntly, "As long as you don’t mind that I’m pregnant, it’s fine. I’m in no position to find fault with you."
