Chapter 606: Chapter 606: Just Pretend He’s Feeding a Dog

After entering the house, Ethan Kingsley carried her directly into the bathroom and had her wash her hands first.

After washing her hands, Ivy Tanner came out. She hesitated for a moment before slowly walking into the dining room.

Ethan Kingsley was already seated at the dining table. He only spoke when he saw her arrive. "Little Cutie, sit down."

Ivy Tanner obediently sat down. She wanted to pick up her bowl and chopsticks but didn’t dare to.

Ethan Kingsley’s brow furrowed slightly. "Why aren’t you eating?"

Ivy Tanner shook her head. "I can only eat after everyone else is finished. My sister said so!"

Hearing this, Ethan Kingsley personally picked up the bowl and chopsticks and shoved them into her hands, saying displeasedly, "There’s no one else here. Eat."

"Uh..." Ivy Tanner still didn’t use the bowl and chopsticks, merely clutching them in her hands.

Ethan Kingsley’s voice deepened. "Why are you still not eating?"

Ivy Tanner shook her head forcefully. "My sister will hit me. I have to wait until everyone else is done eating."

Ethan Kingsley slammed his hand on the dining table, his voice growing deeper. "I told you to eat, so eat. Or else I’ll hit you."

Ivy Tanner’s lips trembled in a pout. Afraid of being hit, she picked up her bowl and chopsticks but didn’t dare to take any of the dishes, eating only the plain white rice in her bowl.

Ethan Kingsley’s brows knitted together as he said, "Eat the other dishes."

"I’m not allowed to eat the other dishes. My sister will scold me."

"Idiot!" Ethan Kingsley, at the end of his rope, violently threw the bowl and chopsticks to the ground.

The bowl shattered with a sharp, crisp sound.

Ivy Tanner’s face drained of color in terror. She hurriedly squatted down to help pick up the broken pieces. "I’ll be good, Brother Kingsley, please don’t hit me. I’ll be good... Hiss..."

Her finger was cut by a shard of the broken bowl, and blood began to flow.

"Idiot!" Ethan Kingsley cursed, then roughly grabbed her and pulled her up. He turned and shouted sharply, "Get me a bandage, now!"

With that, he dragged her into the bathroom and personally washed the sticky rice and blood from her hand.

Ivy Tanner endured the sharp pain from her cut finger, biting her lip so she wouldn’t make a sound.

Ethan Kingsley turned his head to look at her stubborn, pretty face and said coldly, "Don’t ever mention your sister in front of me again. You will obey my every word, absolutely. Understand?"

"Mhm, mhm!" Ivy Tanner nodded obediently.

After treating the wound on her finger, Ethan Kingsley didn’t forget to add a warning, "You are not to use this finger for anything. Not even for scratching an itch."

"Uh..." Ivy Tanner stared at the bandage on her finger, a blank look on her face.

Ethan Kingsley then pulled her back to the dining table and told her to serve herself and eat. But she just sat there like a block of wood, completely still, not even eating the plain rice anymore.

Ethan Kingsley was about to lose his temper again when he remembered that she had injured her right index finger, and he had just warned her not to use it for anything—which included holding chopsticks.

For a moment, he felt a bit helpless. He simply picked up a spoon to feed her himself. "I’ll feed you."

’Is this guy for real?’

’Heh... I’ll just pretend he’s feeding a dog. And I’m that dog.’

「That night.」

After finally managing to coax Ivy Tanner to sleep, Ethan Kingsley went downstairs, sat on the living room sofa, and called out, "Julie, come here for a moment."

Julie Judd was the housekeeper of The Golden Brocade Palace, responsible for managing all its affairs.

When Julie came over, Ethan Kingsley asked casually, "Where did Little Cutie go today?"

Julie Judd answered truthfully, "This morning, Miss Linden came and took the Third Miss to a party. I’m not aware of the specific details of the party. In the afternoon, Miss Sinclair brought the Third Miss back. According to Miss Sinclair, it seems they went to the hospital this afternoon."
