Chapter 237 One Rod to Rule Them All, Four Pink Flowers Got Skewered
Chapter 237: Chapter 237 One Rod to Rule Them All, Four Pink Flowers Got Skewered
“Boss, where are you?!”
“What happened?!”
“Why is it so dark?!”
“Help! Boss!”
Four tiny voices squeaked helplessly into the quiet night.
For a moment, everything was chaos.
Something enormous and heavy pressed down on their bodies, trapping them.
Thick cloth covered their heads, making it impossible to see anything.
One of them struggled violently, kicking and biting at the strange prison around him.
“I can’t move! Something is crushing me!”
It took several moments of frantic squirming before one small creature finally managed to crawl free from beneath the mountain of cloth.
He stumbled forward, panting heavily.
Then he froze.
His eyes widened in horror.
“B… boss?”
His voice came out as a tiny squeak.
One by one, the others finally wriggled free from the oversized clothing that had once fit their human bodies.
Now those robes looked like massive tents lying on the ground.
When they finally saw each other clearly under the pale moonlight, the four of them screamed.
“Boss! What happened to you?!”
“Why did you suddenly become a rat?!”
“Wait… why do you all look like rats?!”
One of them looked down at himself and nearly fainted.
“I’m… I’m a rat now?!” he squeaked. “No! That can’t be! This must be a dream!”
He spun around in panic, staring at his tiny paws, his long tail, and the twitching whiskers on his snout.
“Who did this to us?!” another rat shouted. “How did this happen?!”
Just a moment ago they had been four fierce bandits preparing to rob travelers on the road.
Each of them carried weapons and years of fighting experience.
Now they were nothing more than four miserable little rats shivering in the grass.
Their oversized clothes lay behind them like abandoned mountains.
“This has to be some kind of demonic technique…” the rat who used to be their boss muttered in terror. “Someone must have cursed us!”
“Oh no… my women!” one rat suddenly cried out in despair. “Who will take care of them now that I’ve turned into a rat?”
The other rats looked at him strangely.
“You mean your whores?” one of them said bluntly. “They never cared about you in the first place. They only cared about your money.”
“That’s not true!” the crying rat protested weakly. “Mei Mei said she liked my personality!”
“Your personality?” another rat snorted. “The only personality she liked was the gold coins you kept throwing at her.”
The argument might have continued for quite a while as the four newly transformed rats argued, complained, and mourned their tragic fate.
But suddenly a new sound echoed through the quiet grass.
“Sssssssss…”
The soft hissing noise instantly froze them in place.
Slowly, the four rats turned their heads toward the source of the sound.
What they saw made their tiny hearts nearly stop.
Under the pale moonlight, a massive snake slithered out from the tall grass.
Its long body glided silently across the ground, its scales reflecting a cold shimmer of light.
Its head slowly lifted, and two cold, emotionless eyes locked onto the four trembling rats.
To the snake, they were nothing more than a perfect midnight snack.
The boss rat swallowed hard.
“Don’t… move…” he whispered.
The snake flicked its tongue.
“Ssssssss…”
“Ruuuuuuun!” one of the rats suddenly shrieked.
The four of them scattered instantly in four different directions, their tiny legs moving faster than they ever had in their lives.
“Save me!”
“I don’t want to die like this!”
“Boss, wait for me!”
The grass rustled wildly as the terrified rats fled in panic, their desperate squeaks echoing faintly into the night.
Behind them, the massive snake lunged forward, eager to claim its unexpected meal.

Meanwhile, Lin Feng quietly looked down at his hands.
The sudden action caught the attention of the three women sitting with him in the carriage.
“Is there something wrong, Mentor Lin Feng?” Ning Xi asked curiously.
“It’s nothing. Everything is fine,” Lin Feng replied calmly.
However, even after answering, he continued to stare at his hands as if confirming something.
Inside his mind, a faint thought surfaced.
My hands are still clean.
Through his divine sense, he had already seen the fate of the four unfortunate bandits who had attempted to ambush them.
Now reduced to tiny rats, they were desperately running through the forest, squeaking in terror as they fled from one danger after another.
In a wilderness filled with hungry monsters, their chances of survival were slim.
But Lin Feng did not feel even the slightest trace of guilt.
Those four had been cold blooded thieves and murderers who had preyed upon countless innocent travelers.
Their fate was merely the natural consequence of their own choices.
With that thought, a faint smile appeared on Lin Feng’s lips for a brief moment before disappearing just as quickly.
The carriage continued rolling steadily along the quiet road toward Clear Moon City.
Inside the carriage, the atmosphere was far less peaceful.
Ning Xi and Ye Jian were both sitting close to Lin Feng, each trying in their own way to draw his attention.
Li Zhiyan quietly listened, behaving exactly as a proper maidservant should.
One moment Ning Xi would ask him a question, and the next Ye Jian would interrupt with her own comment, refusing to let the other monopolize his time.
Their subtle competition did not escape Lin Feng’s notice.
Lin Feng sighed inwardly.
His life was not perfect. After all, having two stunning women constantly stirring up trouble around him could be quite exhausting.
But strangely enough, he did not dislike it.
In fact, there was something rather lively about it.
Lin Feng leaned back slightly in his seat as the carriage gently swayed along the road beneath the calm night sky.
A perfect life is only a dream anyway, he thought quietly to himself.
They arrived in Clear Moon City about an hour later.
Instead of heading toward Lin Feng’s courtyard, however, the carriage changed direction and traveled toward one of the lesser clans within the city.
The streets were still lively despite the late hour, lanterns illuminating the roads as people moved about their nightly business.
The carriage eventually slowed as it approached the large gates of the clan’s residence.
Inside the carriage, Lin Feng remained quiet, his expression calm but his eyes carrying a faint hint of anticipation.
Tonight was no ordinary night.
In fact, Lin Feng was quite looking forward to the big event that was about to unfold.
