Looking at Aria, who had tears at the corner of her eyes, Raiden couldn’t help but feel touched.

What might have been a more inconsequential favour from her genuinely changed his life. It was due to her help that he was able to meet Woolie. And without Woolie, he wasn’t even sure he would be here, system or not.

After letting out a sigh, Raiden turned his back towards Valcoric, who was standing there with a forlorn look on his face.

"You...little girl....sigh...." Valcoric let out a weary sigh.

"All right, you are correct. It’s my fault. I genuinely thank you for helping my descendants, Raiden. Ask away. I shall do my best to answer all your questions." To everyone’s surprise, Valcoric bowed his head down toward Raiden in gratitude before he sat down cross-legged on the spot.

This single action had a major effect on all the parties present here, especially Theodore and Aria. Especially Aria, who felt visibly flustered. If it was really her ancestor, he was bowing down to someone much junior to him, on her behalf. This left her feeling like she didn’t know what to say or do next.

This also helped dissipate much of Raiden’s vigilance, but he didn’t let his guard down fully.

"I’m just doing what a friend should do. Don’t worry about it. Now you tell me: what did your words exactly mean earlier??" Raiden sat down in front of him, with Woolie and Neva sleeping in his lap.

"It’s fine if I tell you about all of this as you are involved in it directly, but I have one request: only you can listen to what I have to say. I have no intention of dragging my descendants into the chaotic affairs of the Ashen Ones. That’s the one way to fast-track your death."

"Fine."

"Absolutely not!!"

Both Aria and Raiden spoke at the same time.

’I don’t care about the consequences. If it concerns Raiden’s life, I want to hear about it too!!" Aria spoke with a stubborn look on her face.

"There is no way in hell I’m telling you about any of it, Lassie. Give up. I will provide you with all the information you want, but only he can be here. That’s my bottom line. I’d rather give up one of my one desendent, then doom all of them."

Valcoric spoke with a very serious look on his face.

Aria didn’t care as she glared back at him with equal ferocity.

"Aria, it’s okay. Can you please go back for now?? This information is extremely important to me." Raiden cast a pleading look towards her.

"But..." Aria had a very unwilling look on her face after she heard his words.

"Please, it’s really important. It concerns my family. Plus, if there is anything dangerous or abnormal, I will undoubtedly inform you. We are friends, aren’t we??"

Hearing the gentle tone in his words, a soft look appeared on Aria’s face.

"You are right; we are friends, aren’t we? Fine, I’ll go away for a while. Come, little Theo, follow me."

Aria started walking away, leaving Theodore standing there, confused about what had just happened and why he felt like a third wheel here.

But he knew better than to argue at this important moment.

He left following Aria, leaving behind Raiden and Valcoric sitting on the spot.

"I must say, brat, your charm is nearly as good as mine when I was younger, swindling a little girl like that." The ancestor spoke in an amused tone.

"Are you sure you are her ancestor? Who talks like that about their descendants like that? Plus, I didn’t swindle anybody away, okay? We are friends, just friends. Not to mention, I already have a girlfriend. Anyway, you’re derailing the topic here. Start speaking."

Raiden sat up straighter as he looked into Valcoric’s eyes.

"Where do you want me to begin??"

"Let’s start with what you said. You talked about Fenrir and something White. Let’s start with that."

"All right, I’ll begin with that. The Stormwind family has a special talent: they can sense the smell and aura left behind by others using the wind around them. Using the same talent, I was able to sense the aura of Fenrir, the Godkiller. Do you know about it??" Then the man asked with a probing gaze.

"I might know about it. I might not. You shouldn’t concern yourself with that. Just tell me what you know."

"Ah, cheeky. Do you want to play like that? Fine, let’s play like that. Fenrir, the God Killer, is the ancestor of all wolf-type Terra Beasts. It is said that he ended up killing a god, tearing his head apart with his Jaw."

"He was known as an extremely ferocious Terra Beast who walked on this planet long, long ago before he died due to unknown reasons. Any wolf-type Terran who even has a silver of this bloodline, represented in this game, is considered to be a top-tier Terran. What exactly I don’t understand is how this little sheep of yours has his bloodline inside of him, and it’s not even just a little bit, but a lot. This logically doesn’t make any sense at all."

The man sat there scratching his head as he glanced at Woolie. Raiden instinctively tightened his grip on Woolie, looking at him with wariness in his gaze. He was starting to believe more and more in the words of this so-called ancestor, but still needed to verify it.

"It seems you know a lot about Fenrir. How so??" Raiden questioned.

"Do you forget which family I am from? It’s the Stormwind family, alright? One of my Terra Beasts had Fenrir Bloodline inside of him. Of course, I researched a lot about it. I can speak with a guarantee that not more than five people know more about Fenrir than I do."

Raiden’s heart skipped a beat after he heard his words. But he didn’t let his thoughts show on his face as he continued to speak.

"Let’s say, hypothetically speaking....if....
