I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!

Chapter 177: That Damn Lizard!!

Chapter 177: That Damn Lizard!!

Isadora glanced at the Titans’ clashing one last time before she made her way back through the front lines.

Thanks to the reinforcement from the city, the line, which she had expected to fall halfway by now, was still pushing back against the tide.

But it was just a temporary advantage, and it was really clear that the people in the city didn’t know how to make an effective line of defence.

She also noticed someone important in the crowd, someone who stood out and was doing a solo rampage in the Beast Tide.

"Woolie!!"

CRACK-BANG!!!

"That boy did come after all. Well, I guess that is expected given his nature."

Raiden and Woolie stood like a barricade of unmovable walls in front of the entire line, alone, blocking a few hundred metres all by themselves.

She shifted her focus from him to the soldiers who were resting behind the civilians. Half of them were passed out, while the rest were nursing their injuries.

’This won’t do, we need them.’

After making up her mind, she called out her Terran, who was blocking a portion of the Beasts alone in the front to the back.

The mix between a stag and a deer put another platinum leader under its hooves as countless tendrils of wood emerged from the ground before trapping it and draining its life away.

Hearing Isadora’s call, he made his way back to her, trampling and killing countless Terrans on the way, as they made a clear path for it.

"Miyuu~" It rubbed its face against her body, nudging in concern.

"Haha, I am okay, girl. But I do need your help. I want you to heal every single person here back to their full potential." Isadora patted her head as she commanded.

"Miyuu~!"

"I know you won’t be able to heal me or anybody else if you do this, but we have no other choice. We need those soldiers between these civilians if we are to hold the line for much longer, or at least until the reinforcements come."

"Miyu!!~" Her Terran nodded heavily after hearing her words.

"Thank you...for everything. After that, you can get some rest in my mental space." Isadora hugged its head, patting it a few times before letting go.

"Miyuu!!~"

A green light started to blossom on its body as it spread throughout all the people fighting back on the front lines. All the injured and unconscious soldiers found their partner, Terra Beast’s bodies, healing rapidly and felt all the fatigue in their minds wash away.

Raiden, too, who was holding back the frontline, felt a significant portion of his mental fatigue pass away. Even Neva perked up again in his hands, becoming active once more.

"Thank you, everyone, for coming here!!! This is the last push!! We can do this!!! The reinforcements arrive in half an hour, so just hold on until then!!!" Isadora’s voice rang out in all directions as she flew above their heads, getting a cheer out of them.

After that, she started commanding every one of the frontline using soldiers as team leaders to make a more effective blockade against the Terra Beasts that can last for a long period of time.

Just as everyone thought this fight was all but in their hands, a significant development happened that made them lose all hope and almost fall into despair.

Skreee!!!!

The Dark Phoenix fell from the sky against the ground, painfully, the other three Terrans pursuing it heavily.

The Earth Elemental, seeing its chance, didn’t waste any time as it slammed both of its paws on the ground, giving rise to two mountains big enough to engulf its entire body. It then slammed them together towards the Dark Phoenix, making it cry out in pain.

"Father, no!!" Isadora wanted to rush to his help, but she was held back by a firm hand of Maple, who had arrived next to her at some point in time.

"You can’t go to his help. That’s not a fight you can take part in. Leave old man fighting to the old men. You do what you do best: command the entire front lines. That’s the biggest contribution you can make right now."

As if to prove her point, just as the red dragon sneaked behind the Dark Phoenix to take a bite out of her body, it found itself attacked by a gigantic Garuda with a wingspan of nearly 500 metres, as it tightly plucked out its eyes.

ROOAARRR!!!

It roared in pain as the flying Golden beast took its chance to dive once again. It dived down diagonally, its sharp wings gleaming under the sunlight, intent on taking off its head.

Just as the red dragon was about to lose it, it disappeared in a flash of silver, rescued by its companion, who took it a few kilometres away from the battlefield.

Seeing this, the Dark Phoenix also took its chance. Its voice screeched as a black hole appeared in front of its face, devouring everything in its vicinity, giving it a chance to break free between the two mountains.

"About damn time, you old bastard. I really thought you weren’t coming." Old man Sol muttered under his breath as he glared at the fragile old man sitting on the back of the golden-winged Garuda.

"Tch, do you think I wanted to come here? I only came to save your sorry ass because my granddaughter is too kind and begged me to. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even come to your funeral." Tobias clicked his tongue in displeasure.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Tsundere old man. It’s about time to finish this. Let’s go, girl. It’s time to show them why we are called The Solaris Clan." Old Man Sol’s body started burning in the golden flames as he put his hand on the Dark Phoenix’s head.

In the blink of an eye, the golden fire spread all over its body, engulfing it completely from head to toe. In the next second, a brand new Phoenix appeared in front of everyone with all its injuries gone.

"Skkrrreeeee!!!!!"

The Phoenix flapped its wings, climbing back in the sky once again, ready to reclaim its place as the sovereign.

"Keep up, Tobi!! If you can!! Haa!!"

"Tch, still so competitive in old age. You must be getting senile now. Garuda, go! We will end that dragon before that old man can do anything, proving all he had been doing so far was useless after all."

The golden wind, Garuda, let out a roar before it vanished in a flash, appearing directly in front of the dragon, who had somehow regrown new eyes. And clashed head-on against it.

Using the combined powers of the Dark Phoenix and the Golden Garuda, both old men were finally able to push back and even hold an upper hand against the three Wild Terrans.

This led to an even bigger morale boost in the army, as they fought back against the enemy with renewed vigour.

In the fight, Raiden once again felt how insignificant he was as he fought back against the Terrans again and again, with the death toll climbing higher and higher.

With a renewed Neva back in the fight, both her and Woolie combined their powers, raising their lethality to a new height.

This pair of siblings walked unhindered across the battlefield with nobody under platinum even able to stop them for a second.

"Woolie!! Neva!! I want you to preserve your powers!! We are fighting the long game here! Come back!!" Raiden shouted loudly, but his voice seemed to have no effect on both, as he found both Terra Beast getting lost in the frenzy of slaughter, going deeper and deeper into the enemy lines.

"Damnit!!"

Having no other choice, Raiden rushed towards them, weaving between the Terra Beast, killing what he could, making full use of the Seven-Star Steps to follow them both.

The deeper they went into the lines, the stronger the enemies got, with even Raiden and Neva struggling against a few platinum Terra Beasts.

"Woolie, carry us back now!! We can’t be here for too long~!!"

"Woolie!!"

Bang!!

Woolie lifted his hoof before slamming it downwards, as a crimson hoof of hellfire appeared on top of his opponent, driving its entire head down into the ground.

Raiden quickly climbed on its back, picking up Neva, who had just impaled another Terra Beast before making their way back. They were too deep into enemy territory, and it wasn’t safe for them at all. They needed to get back now.

Just as they were about to exit the horde of Terra Beasts, all three of them found themselves flung into the air with a whip of a tail.

Woolie turned around to see who dared to stop the Emperor, only to growl in anger. Neva, too, had rage in her eyes as she once again came face to face with the previous perpetrator who was the cause of their miserable life in the jungle.

That Damn Black Lizard was back again!!!
