Chapter 451: Travelling on Dangerous Waters

Chapter 451: Travelling on Dangerous Waters

Compass Carburettor crouched low as the roots of his Blood Vitality Grass jutted out of his feet, drilling into the corpses as it began to suck in their Origin Essence and nutrients.

He could feel his strength rising by a small amount, stopping when he felt a bloated feeling. Of course, it was impossible to absorb all the blood and essence to grow stronger rapidly. He had to do that gradually, step by step to prevent his body from suffering damage.

After all, it would be similar to a state of overexertion—for training—while being overfed.

Compass Carburettor then gazed at the sole remaining boat, noticing how the attention of everyone was focused on it. They were killing anyone that approached it. For, it was the sole option remaining for them to reach the island with the precious fusion materials.

There were thousands of Pseudo Martial Origin Stage experts congregated around it as Compass Carburettor slowly began to approach the location, snapping his finger.

All of a sudden, the eyes of plenty of cultivators turned strange as they suddenly erupted with all their might at those closest to them.

This suddenness in their actions shocked everyone, for a moment distracting them.

Using this chance, Compass Carburettor landed on the boat as a bird-type Origin Beast carried him and dropped him onto the boat.

Immediately, the boat began to move towards the island.

“No!” A cultivator that noticed his actions wailed in despair, slumping to the ground, having lost all fighting spirit.

The mood worsened as the boat had already travelled far away by now, preventing them from targeting him.

Strangely, those that had intended to target him were unable to see his figure anymore. Due to that, they couldn’t attack.

Origin Art—Gloss Over!

Of course, Compass Carburettor was prepared for all eventualities. And now that he had set sail safely, he snapped his finger, causing the bird-type Origin Beast to vanish.

It was something he had summoned using Memoir Beckoner.

Having already scouted the location of the final treasure region, Compass Carburettor was aware that he wouldn’t be able to bring in his Origin Beast Sleeper Cells there. So, he picked the various varieties of them, ensuring to store the memories of at least one Origin Beast per species.

For some useful ones, he stored a few more of them.

After that, Compass Carburettor snapped his finger, suddenly causing all the Sleeper Cell Origin Beasts to drop down to the ground, writhing in pain as their bodies rapidly turned into husks of their former selves.

A Blood Vitality Grass grew out from each of their bodies that he stored in his storage bracelet. It was a precious herb that would accelerate his body strengthening.

So, now that the Origin Beasts proved useless, he turned them into Blood Vitality Grass while storing the memories of the strongest among each species.

Seated on the boat, he noticed that the boat followed his will to a certain extent, able to move as he willed.

If he so wished, it would even return to the shore. But he didn’t want such a thing anyway.

Compass Carburettor then observed the water, able to see terrifying shadows underneath that constantly moved to and fro.

It seemed they were at bay due to the boat.

The boat was constantly emitting a mysterious radiance that prevented them from approaching closer. As Compass Carburettor maintained pace, he gradually began to see the boats of other cultivators that had departed early.

‘Hmm, there is a chance they might target me here.’ He thought, ‘Even otherwise, this is a good chance to target them.’

Origin Art—Sleeper Cell!

He focused on an Origin Beast that was agile in the water, a predator of sorts, one with cultivation in the Ninth Layer of the Martial Origin Stage.

After a couple of minutes, it turned into a Sleeper Cell and began to follow him. Similarly, while they were travelling, he absorbed the abundant Origin Essence to constantly turn more and more underwater Origin Beasts into Sleeper Cells, causing them to accompany him on the journey.

“Target Warktor!” He commanded them, noticing their figures vanish as they travelled at speeds many times faster than the boat.

If he had to make an estimate, the boat travelled around a speed of thirty kilometres per hour. It was nothing compared to these agile underwater Origin Beasts.

Even after commanding them, Compass Carburettor wasn’t satisfied, continuing to create more and more Sleeper Cells.

Moreover, he also transferred the memories of some of them into the Ming Frog’s stomach. It was a contingency measure if he wished to protect himself instantly in these waters.

Summoning was instant, so they would prove useful.

“This wouldn’t be possible outside the Folkan Secret Realm.” He sighed, for there was no Origin Essence in the air in the Gaider Realm or any other Realm of the sort.

Only Secret Realms like the Folkan Secret Realm had Origin Essence in the air. And here, he was able to absorb the ambient Origin Essence through his Blood Vitality Grass that funnelled it into his dwelling. Thereby, it allowed him to use his abilities nonstop.

Otherwise, a Sleeper Cell seed took most of his Origin Essence to create. And the stronger his target, the greater the quantity of Origin Essence required for the Sleeper Cell seed to take root.

If it was in the Gaider Realm, he would have to take out Essence Stones to recover his expended Origin Essence. And it wasn’t possible to use his abilities while recovering his Origin Essence. It just wasn’t feasible.

Therefore, he wouldn’t be able to target those stronger than himself to turn into Sleeper Cells. But here, he was capable, thanks to his Blood Vitality Grass constantly absorbing Origin Essence from the air.

Compass Carburettor watched the marine Origin Beasts head towards the front of the row of boats, soon hearing sounds of commotion, smiling as a result. “Since this is me taking action, your luck values would be affected as a result.”
