I grow stronger by making my wife happy.
Chapter 487:Morning.
Chapter 487: 487:Morning.
Ravenna’s expression softened.
"Silver..."
He gently placed the crystal in her palm.
"Besides, you said you wanted to catch up."
She looked down, then laughed quietly.
"You’re using that against me?" She complained.
"Absolutely."
Ravenna smiled, leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him.
Silver laughed softly as he steadied her against him.
"Careful," he softly said.
She held him tighter.
"Thank you," she whispered.
He smiled.
"You’re welcome."
Ravenna remained against him for several moments, then slowly pulled back.
Her eyes were slightly moist which he immediately noticed.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Are you crying?"
She immediately shook her head.
"No."
He smiled.
"Ravenna."
"Silver."
He laughed.
She wiped the corner of one eye, then looked toward the crystal.
"I just..." She paused and smiled. "I’m happy."
Silver’s expression softened.
He leaned forward and kissed her forehead.
"That’s the whole point."
She looked at him, then smiled mischievously.
"Does that mean you get more rewards?"
His eyes widened before laughter escaped him.
"Probably," he jokingly said.
She narrowed her eyes.
"Then maybe I should be happier more often."
He flatly stared at her.
Ravenna burst into laugher.
He shook his head.
"You’re dangerous."
She smiled sweetly.
"I know."
They didn’t attempt to integrate the Phoenix Heart Seed immediately.
He explained that although the system had confirmed her compatibility, the treasure would still need to establish a new circulation foundation within her body, and that wasn’t something he wanted her attempting in the middle of the night without proper preparation.
Ravenna reluctantly agreed.
She spent several minutes examining the crystal before finally allowing Silver to return it to his system storage for safekeeping.
Then he explained to her the description of Twin Soul Resonance. She listened carefully and her expression gradually became thoughtful as she came to an understanding.
"So our energy synchronization improves when we train together?"
Silver nodded.
"Apparently."
"And you can sense my condition?" She curiously asked.
"Within a limited range," he responded.
She considered it before a smile graced her lips.
"That could be useful."
"Very."
Ravenna looked toward him.
"Can I sense yours?"
He checked the description again, then frowned.
"It doesn’t specifically say."
She narrowed her eyes.
"Unfair."
He laughed.
"I’ll see if there’s a way to improve it."
She nodded.
"Please do,I also worry about you."
Then she moved closer and rested her head against his shoulder.
Silver closed the system interface and the notifications disappeared.
The room returned to its quiet, peaceful atmosphere. He looked toward Ravenna who was smiling faintly, her fingers intertwined with his.
Silver leaned back against the pillows. For once, he didn’t feel the need to examine every reward immediately.
The system could wait and his Rank Three breakthrough could wait. Everything could wait at least until morning.
Silver woke to the sensation of something brushing against his cheek.
He frowned, then slowly opened his eyes.
Ravenna was sitting beside him.
Her hair fell over one shoulder, and she was wearing his shirt, which hung loosely around her frame. She was watching him with an expression that immediately made him suspicious.
Silver blinked away the sleep.
"Morning," he groggily said.
She smiled and replied.
"Good morning."
He looked toward the clock, then back at her.
"How long have you been awake?" He asked.
"A while."
Her narrowed his eyes.
"How long?"
She considered, before she smiled mischievously.
"Twenty minutes."
He laughed softly.
"And you’ve been staring at me?"
She tucked a loose hair behind her ear.
"Maybe."
He shook his head.
"That’s creepy," he whispered.
She loudly gasped.
"Excuse me?"
He out loud laughed.
She immediately leaned forward and poked his cheek.
"You’re supposed to say something romantic."
He considered it a moment before smiling.
"You look beautiful."
Her eyes narrowed slightly, then she nodded.
"Acceptable."
He laughed again.
She leaned forward and kissed him which he returned the kiss. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer.
She laughed against his lips as she tried to keep her balance from suddenly being pulled.
"Silver!"
"What?"
"I was getting up."
"Not anymore."
She laughed again and settled against him. For several minutes, they remained beneath the blankets, talking quietly about nothing particularly important.
Eventually, Ravenna looked toward him.
"Silver?" She called
"Yes?" He responded.
"About last night..."
He raised an eyebrow.
She smiled.
"I liked it."
His expression softened.
"So did I."
She nodded and then looked away, her cheeks pink.
He smiled and gently lifted her chin.
She looked toward him.
"Ravenna."
"Hmm?"
"I love you."
Her expression softened.
"I love you too."
He kissed her, and this time, neither felt particularly nervous.
Later that morning, they ordered breakfast to the suite.
Ravenna insisted on choosing the food, claiming that Silver had already made enough decisions the previous evening, while he quietly accepted the arrangement and used the opportunity to review his system status.
The additional Affection Points had increased his balance to 26,214.
His Soul Synchronization had risen from fifty-five to fifty-seven and Twin Soul Resonance now appeared among his unique abilities.
He also had the Phoenix Heart Seed safely stored, waiting for Ravenna to begin its integration.
He studied his Rank Development interface.
[CURRENT DEVELOPMENT STATUS]
[Rank: Peak Rank 2.]
[Energy Saturation: 100%.]
[Physical Foundation: Excellent.]
[Soul Synchronization: 57.]
[Beast Tattoo Integration: Stable.]
[Breakthrough Threshold: Reached.]
[Breakthrough Readiness: High.]
He smiled faintly.
He was very close to rank three but he wasn’t going to attempt it immediately. He still wanted to complete the Spatial Synchronization Training Method, stabilize the circulation of his spatial energy, and prepare the Advanced Beast Synchronization Catalyst he’d purchased.
He also intended to choose a suitable breakthrough location.
The academy was an option but so were the private advancement facilities outside its grounds.
And considering the resources he had accumulated, he could arrange something considerably more comfortable than a standard student chamber.
He closed the interface.
Ravenna noticed his expression.
"Thinking about Rank Three?" She quietly asked.
He smiled.
"Maybe."
She narrowed her eyes.
"Silver."
He laughed.
"I know. No training talk."
She nodded approvingly.
"Good." Then she looked toward him. "But when you do attempt it..."
He waited for her to form her words.
She softly smiled.
"I’m coming with you."
He nodded.
"Of course."
She looked satisfied.
"Don’t forget that."
He reached across the table and took her hand.
She smiled.
For a moment, he thought about everything that had happened since arriving in Alpha Three.
And now the quiet morning they were sharing after a night neither of them would forget.
He’d come a long way, but he knew there was still much farther to go.
Somewhere beyond the safety of the academy, dangerous beasts continued roaming the Red Zones, hidden organizations pursued experiments that should never have existed, and powerful Contractors fought for resources, influence, and survival.
Silver hadn’t forgotten any of that. He simply wasn’t going to let it steal every peaceful moment he managed to find.
Ravenna squeezed his hand.
"What are you smiling about?"
He looked toward her and his smile widened.
"You."
Her eyes widened before she laughed softly.
"Good answer."
He leaned forward and kissed her.
And as the morning sunlight streamed through the windows, he found himself thinking that becoming stronger wasn’t the only thing worth looking forward to.
For now, he was still Peak Rank Two.
His breakthrough could come later, whether inside the academy or beyond its walls but he had someone he wanted beside him when it happened.
And that, more than anything else, made the future feel worth reaching.
