I grow stronger by making my wife happy.
Chapter 486:Reward?
Chapter 486: 486:Reward?
Much later, Silver lay on his back beneath the blankets, staring at the ceiling with a faint smile on his face.
The room was quiet and the lights had been dimmed.
Outside the window, the academy gardens remained illuminated by the soft glow of the pathway lamps, while the distant sounds of students returning to their dormitories had long since disappeared.
Ravenna lay beside him, her white hair spread across the pillow and one arm resting comfortably across his chest.
She was awake.
He could tell from the way her fingers occasionally moved against his skin.
He turned his head.
"Ravenna?"
She made a small sound.
"Hmm?"
"You okay?"
She raised her head slightly and looked at him. For a moment, she simply stared at him before a smile appeared.
"Silver."
"Yes?"
"How many times are you going to ask me that?"
He laughed quietly.
"Probably a few more times."
She shook her head, then moved closer.
"I’m fine."
He smiled.
She rested her chin against his chest and narrowed her eyes.
"Are you?"
Silver blinked.
"Am I what?"
"Okay."
He laughed.
"Very."
Ravenna smiled, leaned forward and kissed him.
Silver returned the kiss, then wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
For several minutes, they remained quiet, eventually, Ravenna spoke.
"Silver?"
"Yes?"
"Do you regret it?"
He looked down.
She was watching him carefully, he could clearly see the worry in her gaze.
His expression softened.
"Not even a little."
She smiled.
"Me neither."
He brushed his fingers through her hair. She closed her eyes, then laughed softly.
"What?"
His smiled.
"Nothing."
"You’re smiling."
"Am I?"
"Yes."
He looked toward the ceiling, then back at her.
"I’m very happy."
Ravenna stared at him, her expression slowly changing into a smile.
"Me too."
She moved closer, resting her head against his chest.
Silver held her.
And for a while, neither spoke.
Then, just as Ravenna’s breathing began to slow, a familiar notification appeared in front of Silver’s eyes.
[Relationship Milestone Achieved.]
[Target: Ravenna Arkland.]
[Milestone: First Physical Union.]
[Mutual Trust and Emotional Intimacy Significantly Increased.]
[Relationship Synchronization Improved.]
[Target Happiness Increased.]
[Target Affection Increased.]
His eyes narrowed.
He hadn’t expected the system to activate, not now.
Another notification appeared.
[Special Relationship Milestone Reward Available.]
Silver frowned slightly.
Special?
He carefully opened the notification without disturbing Ravenna.
[Milestone Reward: +5,000 Affection Points.]
[Milestone Reward: +2 Soul Synchronization.]
[Special Reward: Twin Soul Resonance - Unique Bond Ability.]
Silver’s eyes widened.
Twin Soul Resonance?
He opened the description.
[Twin Soul Resonance]
[Classification: Unique Relationship Ability.]
[Bound Target: Ravenna Arkland.]
[Effect: Establishes a permanent resonance between the host’s soul foundation and the bound target’s soul foundation.]
[Primary Benefits: Improved energy synchronization during joint training, increased efficiency when combining compatible abilities, enhanced awareness of the bound target’s emotional and physical condition within a limited range.]
[Secondary Effect: When the host and bound target train together, both may receive a small increase in synchronization efficiency.]
[Restriction: Ability cannot be transferred to another target.]
Silver stared.
A permanent relationship ability, and one that benefited both of them.
He read the description again, then smiled.
That was extremely useful, especially considering how frequently he and Ravenna trained together.
But another notification appeared.
[Special Target Reward Detected.]
[Target: Ravenna Arkland.]
[Reward: Phoenix Heart Seed - Unique Growth-Type Treasure.]
He froze.
Phoenix?
He immediately opened the description.
[Phoenix Heart Seed]
[Classification: Unique Growth-Type Treasure.]
[Compatible Target: Ravenna Arkland.]
[Elemental Affinity: Fire.]
[Effect: Upon successful integration, the seed establishes a secondary fire-energy circulation foundation within the target’s body.]
[Primary Benefits: Improves fire-energy purity, increases elemental recovery efficiency, enhances resistance to internal fire-energy instability, and supports future fire-ability evolution.]
[Growth Property: The seed develops alongside the target’s rank and elemental comprehension.]
[Special Characteristic: Phoenix Flame Potential - Dormant.]
[Warning: Phoenix Flame Potential cannot be forcibly awakened. Its development depends on the target’s physical foundation, elemental compatibility, and future growth.]
He slowly sat up.
Ravenna stirred from the disturbance.
"Silver?" She called, confused.
He immediately looked down the moment she raised her head.
"What’s wrong?" She asked.
Silver smiled.
"Nothing bad," he said.
Ravenna blinked sleepily.
"Then why are you sitting up?"
He looked toward the notification, then back at her.
"I got something."
Her expression changed.
Something in his tone made her more alert.
"From the system?"
He nodded.
"Yes."
She sat up slightly, pulling the blanket around herself.
"What did you get?"
He smiled.
"Something for you," he cheerfully said.
Her eyes widened.
"For me?"
He nodded, then opened his system storage.
A small object appeared in his hand.
It resembled a polished crimson crystal no larger than a fingernail, with faint golden patterns moving beneath its surface. A gentle warmth radiated from it, and occasionally, a tiny flicker of flame appeared deep inside the crystal before disappearing again.
Ravenna stared at it, completely shocked.
"Silver..."
He smiled.
"Phoenix Heart Seed."
Her eyes widened.
"Phoenix?"
He nodded.
"Apparently."
She leaned closer and the crystal reflected in her gray eyes.
He explained the reward.
He told her about the secondary fire-energy circulation foundation, the improved recovery efficiency, the potential for future ability evolution, and the dormant Phoenix Flame characteristic.
By the time he finished, Ravenna was staring at the crystal with an expression he couldn’t quite describe.
"That’s..." she started and swallowed. "Silver, that’s ridiculous."
He laughed softly.
"I know."
She looked toward him.
"Are you sure it’s for me?"
He nodded.
"Completely."
Her eyes widened, then she looked down at the crystal again.
For several seconds, she didn’t speak.
Silver waited for her to settle herself down. Eventually, she raised her eyes.
"Why?" She quietly asked.
He looked at her, confusion slowly took on features.
"Why what?" He asked.
"Why does your system keep giving me things like this?"
Silver considered, then smiled faintly.
"Because you’re important to me."
She stared at him.
He continued.
"The system responds to your happiness and our relationship. I don’t know everything about how it works, but I know one thing."
She looked at him.
Silver smiled.
"If it gives me something that can help you become stronger, I’m going to give it to you."
