Chapter 2186: Chapter 2187: Quality Education
“Task?”
The man known as Captain Wang nodded, then glanced at his watch and said,
“In a moment, someone will be brought in here. Your task is to give him a beating. I won’t say anything else, you should understand.”
Zhou Changlin and the others had an epiphany.
Someone had run into trouble and was about to be dealt with.
“I understand what you mean, but do we really need such a big show of force? So many of us against one person, it’s a bit embarrassing to even start.”
“No need to feel embarrassed, go ahead and do it boldly, just don’t beat him to death.”
Zhou Changlin and the others exchanged glances, sensing that this matter might not be a small one.
Otherwise, Captain Wang wouldn’t be speaking like this.
Just then, the man called Captain Wang passed a pocket to Zhou Changlin.
“Divide up what’s inside here; you might need it later.”
“Got it,” said Zhou Changlin,
“But there’s one thing I need to make clear in advance. This is probably going to cause quite a commotion, so you need to tell the other supervisors not to come over, no matter how much noise there is.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got it all arranged. It’s ten-thirty in the evening now; I’ll come back at midnight. That’s plenty of time.”
“We won’t need that long, half an hour will do.”
“Then I’ll come at 11:30. You all just wait here, he’ll be brought over soon. I’ll take my leave now.”
“Take care, Captain Wang.”
Witnessing this scene, people in several opposite cells started talking to each other in whispers.
“None of these guys are easy to provoke, and now they’re locked up together. Whoever is coming in, what did he do to deserve such special treatment?”
“Who knows, but he’ll be beaten until even his mom won’t recognize him.”
“Never mind Zhou Changlin or Wu Mingming, just Zheng Hongnan alone isn’t someone you can easily mess with.”
“I’ve heard about Zheng Hongnan’s case. Supposedly, when his wife cheated, he blinded her lover. Looks like he’s about to be sentenced soon—no less than ten years to start with.”
“Being locked up here every day is so boring; finally, there’s some excitement to watch.”
Meanwhile, the last cell quieted down and Zhou Changlin opened the bag to find several stun batons.
“Damn, really? They’ve even handed out these things?”
Seeing what was in the bag, the others were bewildered.
Calling so many people together against one person was already questionable.
And now, to top it off, they’d been given weapons.
This was not just about teaching someone a lesson; it was practically a prelude to killing.
“Guys, the stuff has been distributed; each of you take one. It seems they don’t want him to live.”
“I’m a bit puzzled; who exactly is the other party, to deserve such treatment?” Wu Mingming said.
“Probably offended some big shot on the outside and got some special attention on the inside.”
“That’s the only possibility.” Zhou Changlin weighed the substantial stun baton in his hand, “Frankly, I’m a bit curious now, what’s the big deal with this guy?”
“Don’t rush, we’ll know soon enough.”
As they were talking, footsteps echoed in the corridor.
Zhou Changlin glanced at the others, “Hide the stuff first and see what’s going on before we do anything.”
The other seven moved into action.
They hid the stun batons under their clothes, then took seats, waiting for that special person to arrive.
At the same time, people in the other cells stuck their heads out to see.
They all wanted to know who the person receiving such special attention from Captain Wang could be.
Soon, Lin Yi was brought to the entrance of the cell.
At that moment, many heads were filled with the same question.
Had there been some mistake?
This kid, with his delicate appearance, looked like he could be knocked down with a slap. Was all this fuss really necessary?
Inside the cell, Zhou Changlin and the others looked at each other, completely confused.
In their minds, the person being brought in should have at least been a hulking bruiser with a fierce countenance.
Yet, this kid before them looked soft and tender, utterly at odds with their expectations.
“`
“Go in.” After the door was opened, Lin Yi was pushed inside.
But after he left, the person responsible for escorting Lin Yi gave Zhou Changlin a meaningful glance.
The latter understood perfectly; this was indeed the man.
Lin Yi was locked in, and inmates from several other cells stretched their necks to look over.
It was as if they were watching surveillance, not wanting to miss a second.
Lin Yi, however, didn’t care much. He found an unoccupied spot to sit down, but the handcuffs on him greatly restricted his movements.
And this was exactly why Huang Sihai dared to attack Lin Yi again.
With the handcuffs on, he was a useless man!
No matter how powerful, he couldn’t stir up any trouble!
Moreover, they were equipped with electric batons, and in their eyes, subduing Lin Yi would definitely not be a problem.
And all of this had occurred to Lin Yi.
By procedure, there was no need for these restraints; they were clearly meant to limit him.
But Lin Yi was in no rush. He yawned, preparing to sleep for a while.
“Move it, you’re in my spot.”
The speaker was not tall, in fact, he was the shortest of the eight.
But his muscles were incredibly bulging, as if his shirt buttons were about to burst.
Seeing Zheng Hongnan pick a fight, the others stayed still, waiting to see what would happen.
“I’ll move.”
Lin Yi was generous and didn’t argue overmuch, shifting to another spot.
Zheng Hongnan sat on the communal bed, staring at Lin Yi with malice.
“New kid, what’s your name?”
“Lin Yi.”
“Do you know the rules here?”
“Not really, I’m not from around here,” Lin Yi said with a chuckle.
“No worries, I’ll teach you.” Zheng Hongnan shook his foot, “Come here, take off my shoes and then clean my feet for me.”
Those watching the scene smiled at the corners of their mouths.
The real show was about to start.
“I don’t think that’s appropriate; aren’t you bullying me?”
“Bullying? Hahaha…”
Zheng Hongnan laughed out loud, and the others roared with laughter as well.
“You can say I’m bullying you if you want, but that’s the rule here; you have to tolerate it.”
“All right, I get it.”
“Good, don’t make me repeat myself,” Zheng Hongnan waved his hand as if calling a dog:
“Come take off my shoes and clean my feet. I want to go to sleep.”
“No problem.”
Lin Yi, with the handcuffs on, walked over to Zheng Hongnan and stood in front of him.
“What are you waiting for? Do I really need to teach you this?”
“I’ve actually never done anything like this before, teach me how.”
Zheng Hongnan’s face darkened, “Kid, you seem a bit disrespectful. If I have to teach you myself, I won’t be as nice as I am now.”
“That’s okay, just teach me.”
“Damn it!”
Zheng Hongnan’s face turned vicious; as he flexed his wrists, he said:
“Then let me teach you what the rules are!”
As his words fell, Zheng Hongnan rose from the communal bed, ready to take action.
But just as he stood up, Lin Yi delivered a whip kick to his face!
Zheng Hongnan screamed, flew through the air, and smacked against the wall.
He was knocked out!
