Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Princess, Can’t I Be Jealous?

The atmosphere in the room was heavy. Aside from the sound of heavy breathing, there was absolute silence.

"A ten-day meal plan in exchange for one Green Crystal Stone."

Moye breathed a sigh of relief. So that was what this was about. "If you like her food, Young Master, you can continue the trade with the little female, Ophelia. Let her keep cooking for you."

Zerev looked up, his eyes holding a glimmer of anticipation mixed with a trace of hesitation. "But I made her angry. Will she still be willing?" Though Zerev was decisive and ruthless in major matters, when it came to matters of the heart, he was a complete blank slate.

"Ophelia likes Crystal Stones; she’ll agree." Moye paused for a moment. "If that doesn’t work, we can always up the ante and offer two Green Crystal Stones."

Everyone who had ever interacted with Ophelia knew about her love for Crystal Stones, and Moye was no exception.

Zerev rubbed the edge of the window frame, struggling internally. "Will she agree?" he wondered. He didn’t dare to ask aloud, afraid of receiving a cold rejection from the little female.

"How will we know if we don’t try?" Moye sighed inwardly. His young master had always been brilliant, yet whenever it came to Ophelia, he became hesitant and even shrank back, like a lowly puppy begging for love. "Young Master, I can accompany you to the Fu Clan—"

Zerev raised a hand to stop him, the confusion vanishing from his eyes. "There’s no need. Continue investigating the sugar matter."

After a night of reflection, he finally understood. The little female was worried that the mastermind behind the scenes would find out she was helping him investigate the stolen sugar and hold a grudge against her. If that was the case, he would capture the entire gang and eliminate all her worries. At worst, he would simply stay by the little female’s side and never return to the Holy Capital.

After pondering it over and over, Moye secretly headed to the Fu Clan behind Zerev’s back.

At this moment, Ophelia was directing the clan members in building the perimeter wall and shops. Of the ten male clan members, five had gone up the mountain to quarry stone, while Tyler and the remaining five were building stone houses.

"Be careful, take it slow, and make sure it’s sturdy!" To ensure the wall would be solid, Ophelia had them mix lime into the yellow mud for better adhesion.

"Ophelia." Moye stepped forward, a smile on his face like a kindly elder.

Ophelia turned her head, and her face fell the moment she saw him. She immediately turned to leave.

Moye hurriedly stopped her. "Please don’t be angry yet, little female. I’m here to explain on behalf of my young master.

"Regarding the person who stole the sugar, the young master didn’t mean to hide it from you. He just thought the less you knew, the safer you would be. He didn’t expect things to turn out this way. Besides, you didn’t reveal your intention to look for sugar at the trading market yesterday. The mastermind won’t be able to guess it, so you won’t be in any danger."

Hearing Moye say this only made Ophelia angrier. "What do you mean I won’t be in danger? Can you guarantee that the mastermind won’t recognize Zerev? When they see Zerev with me, wouldn’t they suspect something?

"I’m not stupid. For someone to steal sugar right from under the Holy Capital’s nose, their identity must be extraordinary. Who knows, they might even know Zerev."

It wasn’t as if inside jobs were unheard of.

Moye was shocked into a cold sweat by Ophelia’s words, fine beads of moisture forming on his temples. He hadn’t even considered that layer of possibility. Suppressing the shock in his heart, he said, "I will go back and discuss this with the young master. We will definitely ensure your safety."

Ophelia’s voice was cold. "Tell me that when you’ve actually done it."

Moye felt a bit awkward under her gaze and quickly changed the subject. "The young master asked me to see if you would still be willing to continue cooking for him. He’s willing to raise the reward to two Green Crystal Stones."

Ophelia raised an eyebrow, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Two Green Crystal Stones for ten days of meals? As expected of a young master from the Holy Capital."

Moye choked on his words. He never imagined that the gentle and docile little female in front of him could have such a side to her. Her tongue was far too sharp! She hadn’t been like this when she applied to him to establish her tribe. It was true—little females were not to be trifled with, and an angry little female was even worse. But for the sake of his young master’s love life, he had to risk it all.

After a long while, Ophelia finally replied indifferently, "I need to think about it."

Seeing a glimmer of hope, Moye breathed a sigh of relief, a bright smile blooming on his face. "The young master is sincerely apologizing to you. If you have any other requests, please feel free to bring them up."

After Moye left, Ophelia sat under the shade of a tree, enjoying the cool breeze brushing against her cheeks. The weather was growing hotter by the day. Making sure no one was watching, she quietly slipped into her spatial farm.

As soon as she entered the space, she saw rice seedlings growing up to her calves across a full four hundred square meters of land. With four hundred square meters of rice, she could harvest eight hundred catties of grain in just thirty-six hours. Amassing the 3,500 catties of rice that Klein demanded would be an absolute breeze.

The piglets had also fully grown. This time, instead of raising more pigs, she raised some sheep, cattle, deer, roe deer, and other animals. After all, eating pork every day would raise suspicions. Having a wider variety meant they could switch up their meals.

Afterward, Ophelia spent some time studying a plan to plant rice in the real world.

To get a high yield of crops, apart from having good seeds, the soil needed to be fertilized. Furthermore, the current climate in the Beast World was perfect for planting rice. She had to hurry up and plant the rice seedlings. Otherwise, planting them after the season had passed would arouse suspicion.

She calculated her strategy: she would sprout the rice seeds into seedlings inside her space, then dig them out and transplant them outside. This would significantly increase their survival rate. And if she occasionally sprinkled some chemical fertilizer, the yield wouldn’t be low.

She had deliberately chosen a territory with so much open land precisely so she could develop more arable fields. As long as she planted enough, she could win by sheer quantity. That way, pulling out 3,500 catties of rice next year wouldn’t raise any more eyebrows. Plus, she could pretend to have researched a double-cropping rice method, allowing them to harvest two batches of grain a year.

With these thoughts in mind, Ophelia exited her space. In the blink of an eye, she saw a tall, straight figure slowly walking toward her.

It was Tyler.

Tyler approached, carrying a bowl of cooled pear tea, and handed it to Ophelia. "Princess, have some pear tea to quench your thirst."

Ophelia obediently took the Stone Bowl and began to drink. After finishing the pear tea, she handed the Stone Bowl back to Tyler, a faint smile lingering on the corners of her lips.

"Tyler, you’re so good to me."

Tyler reached out and tucked a few stray strands of hair behind Ophelia’s ear. His gaze remained fixed on her face, looking as though he wanted to say something but was holding back. After struggling internally for a few moments, he finally spoke up. "Princess, Moye came to see you just now. What did you two talk about?"

As soon as the question left his lips, Tyler lowered his head. His fingers gripped the edge of the Stone Bowl, his eyelashes trembling, his heart filled with anxiety.

Noticing his little gestures, Ophelia curled her lips into a faint smile, leaning her head against his shoulder with a soft chuckle. "What’s wrong? Are you jealous?"

Tyler lifted his head, looking somewhat aggrieved. "Princess, am I not allowed to be jealous?"

He was the Princess’s partner. He liked the Princess and didn’t want other males getting close to her. Was he not allowed to be jealous?
