I Dumped My Mate—Now Every Beast King Wants Me
Chapter 119: Come with Me Obediently, or Else...
Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Come with Me Obediently, or Else...
Hearing this news, a manic smile spread across Loki’s face.
The male was startled by his expression. "Loki, I’ve done what I promised. Don’t come looking for me ever again."
Loki stood rooted to the spot, laughing through his tears, then crying through his laughter. His chance had finally arrived!
Half an hour later, Loki put on clean clothes, shedding his disheveled appearance. In high spirits, he walked toward the entrance of the Snow Wolf Clan’s settlement.
Soro, who was leading a group of males on a patrol around the tribe, frowned when he saw him trying to leave. "Loki, didn’t I tell you that you are no longer allowed to leave the tribe? Where do you think you’re going?"
Ever since Soro had stripped Loki of his position as Clan Leader, the relationship between father and son had turned ice-cold. Loki felt his father was biased toward his younger brother, having handed his title of Clan Leader over to him. Meanwhile, Soro was thoroughly disappointed in Loki due to his repeated, suicidal antics.
Now, hearing Soro’s voice, undisguised annoyance crossed Loki’s face. "I’m going crazy from being cooped up in the tribe. I want to go for a walk."
Hearing that Loki wouldn’t even address him as "father" anymore, Soro’s expression darkened. "Go for a walk? How long have you actually behaved yourself? You want to go cause trouble for Ophelia again, don’t you? Why don’t you ever learn your lesson? With your empty head, how could you possibly outsmart her? You’re going to stay in the tribe and behave. Otherwise, you won’t even know how you died."
Hearing his own father belittle him while elevating Ophelia, Loki’s suppressed resentment completely exploded. He stiffened his neck, his eyes wide with defiance. "Whether I die or not is none of your business. I am leaving this tribe today, no matter what."
Loki’s attitude shocked the surrounding members of the Snow Wolf Clan.
Soro’s face turned black as thunder. He shouted sternly, "If you dare take half a step out of the Snow Wolf Clan today, you will no longer be a member of this clan, and I will no longer acknowledge you as my son!"
But Loki was already blinded by hatred. Convinced that Soro was simply favoring Ophelia, he couldn’t hear a word of reason. "Do you think I care about being your son? Once I leave the Snow Wolf Clan today, I won’t come back even if you beg me!"
Leaving behind those resentful words, he turned and stormed off.
Watching his son’s unhesitating departure, Soro swayed on his feet, furious. One of the males behind him was quick enough to catch him, preventing him from collapsing to the ground.
"Clan Leader, mind your health."
Soro looked at the male, his cloudy eyes brimming with tears. He wondered what past sins he was paying for to have raised such a foolish and unfilial son.
Loki had no idea how regretful Soro felt. Right now, he was solely focused on finding the wandering beast clan hiding in the forest.
Previously, while hunting in the forest, he had encountered wandering beasts. Hoping to earn some merit, he had secretly trailed them. To his surprise, there was not just one, but an entire group of over a dozen wandering beasts. He had lost his nerve and slipped away silently, quietly memorizing the location of their hideout and deciding to avoid the area during future hunts.
Relying on himself alone to get revenge on Ophelia was impossible. So, during his time locked up in the Snow Wolf Clan, he had come up with a brilliant plan. He would cooperate with the wandering beasts! As long as he could offer a generous enough reward, the wandering beasts would definitely agree to work with him.
The moment he stepped into their hideout, several dark figures leapt out from the shadows. Before he could react, he was pinned to the ground.
"Someone from the Snow Wolf Clan? Trying to use us to earn merit again." A hoarse-voiced male glared down at the emaciated Loki with a face full of disdain.
Seeing this, Loki hastily spoke up. "No! I don’t mean you any harm. I’m here to cooperate with you."
"Cooperate with us?" A male with long purple hair crouched down, tapping the flat side of a bone knife against Loki’s cheek. "A male from the Snow Wolf Clan wants to team up with us wandering beasts? Are you here to be a joke?"
Loki forced a fawning smile. "No, I’m really here to work with you. I know the Fuzu Tribe is currently transporting a batch of rice. I can provide their route and help lure away their guards. You’ll be able to get your hands on that rice effortlessly."
"It’s just rice, not a little female. Why would we care?"
Wandering beasts had always just snatched whatever they liked. Rice was soft and mushy to eat, and it never made them feel full. It was nothing special.
"But it’s a full five hundred pounds of rice!" Loki urged. "If you have that much food, maybe some little females will be willing to mate with you."
The purple-haired wandering beast scoffed. "Five hundred pounds of food? Who are you trying to fool?"
Even the Mountain Goat Clan, famous for growing crops, only produced about a thousand pounds a year. He had never even heard of this so-called Fuzu Tribe. The idea that they could just casually bring out five hundred pounds of food was pure fantasy.
Seeing that the wandering beast didn’t believe him, Loki rushed to explain. "It’s true! The Clan Leader of the Fuzu Tribe is a little female who possesses advanced rice-farming techniques. Their tribe harvested two thousand pounds of rice alone this year!" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ
"A little female as Clan Leader? What kind of joke is this?" The purple-haired male felt like Loki was playing him for a fool.
"It’s true! She used to be my mate, but she abandoned me for wealth and power. I’m only telling you this because I want revenge."
Hearing that Loki had been abandoned by a little female, the wandering beasts began to trust his words a bit more. After all, they themselves had all been abandoned by their mates, who had forcibly severed their mating bonds. That was why they had been reduced to wandering beasts, losing the chance to ever mate again and forced to live out their days hiding in cold, dark caves.
"In that case, out of the kindness of our hearts, we’ll help you out."
Hearing this, Loki instantly breathed a sigh of relief. He knew the deal was sealed. He then helpfully informed the wandering beasts of the direction Tyler was heading.
"Fine, we’ll take a trip with you. But if you dare deceive us, you can kiss your life goodbye." The purple-haired male waved his hand, and Loki was released.
Loki groveled and fawned over them. The group quickly gathered their things and set off in pursuit of Tyler. However, they weren’t in a rush to make their move. They waited until Tyler and his group had been traveling for two days before launching their attack.
At noon that day, Kexas took a few males to hunt in the nearby forest. Tyler and the remaining males stayed behind to guard the grain they had brought.
Just then, a rustling sound came from the nearby bushes. Loki stepped out, holding a piece of linen cloth.
"Tyler, Ophelia has already been captured by me. If you don’t want her to die, follow me." Loki’s eyes were bloodshot.
Tyler’s expression changed drastically at the words. He recognized the linen cloth in Loki’s hand as a piece torn from the dress the Princess usually wore. "Where is the Princess? If you dare hurt her, I will take your life!"
Loki sneered coldly. "Tyler, look at the situation you’re in. You still dare to make threats? If you don’t want her to die, just obediently come with me."
Seeing this, Tyler didn’t even spare a glance at the piled-up rice before sprinting off in pursuit of Loki. The males from Ten Thousand Beasts City and the Golden Dragon Clan didn’t even have time to stop him.
Left with no choice, a male from Ten Thousand Beasts City scanned their surroundings warily and ordered in a cold voice, "Stay on high alert! Watch out for an ambush."
