I Dumped My Mate—Now Every Beast King Wants Me
Chapter 110: Miche and Her Own Life
Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Miche and Her Own Life
In the back mountains of the Snow Wolf Clan, Loki stared at the grave before him with a heartbroken expression.
"Loki, Ophelia killed Miche. I want her to pay with her life."
At the thought of Miche’s hollowed-out chest, Loki’s heart ached. He had been occupied that day and hadn’t personally participated in the kidnapping. By the time he returned, he learned from Galen that Miche had been murdered.
"Don’t worry, Galen," Loki said. "I will definitely make Ophelia pay in blood. I won’t let Miche die in vain."
"Then what do you plan to do?" Galen asked.
Loki glanced at the green grass around the grave, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. "Naturally, we strike where it hurts her the most."
Meanwhile, outside the Fuzu Tribe, the rice fields had already turned golden. In about half a month, the crops would be ready for harvest. This was a critical period, so Zerev had dispatched males from Ten Thousand Beasts City to guard the rice paddies day and night.
On a pitch-black night, two figures sneaked into the fields.
"Loki, will these rice plants really die if we just sprinkle this water on them?"
"Of course. Stop talking and hurry up, or they’ll spot us."
Loki raised the watering can, preparing to pour the limewater into the paddy. But the moment he lifted his hand, someone grabbed his arm, followed by Galen’s cry of pain beside him.
"Who are you? Let go of me! What are you doing?"
"What are we doing? I think we’re the ones who should be asking you that."
Ophelia didn’t learn about the night raid on the rice paddies until the next morning.
"What did you say? What was Loki trying to do last night?" Ophelia asked in surprise.
She hadn’t even settled the score with Loki regarding Miche’s incident, yet here he was, delivering himself right to her doorstep. Now that her tribe was established and she had Zerev backing her, she didn’t have to hesitate to deal with him.
"Let’s go take a look."
Accompanied by Tyler, Ophelia headed out of the tribe. Beneath a large tree by the rice fields, two bruised and swollen males were strung up.
The moment he saw Ophelia, a bound Loki shouted frantically, "Ophelia, tell them to let me go at once!"
"Oh? What is the Clan Leader of the Snow Wolf Clan doing sneaking around Fu Clan territory? Trying to pull some dirty tricks?"
"I—I don’t know what you’re talking about."
One of the males threw the tools Loki and Galen had used last night onto the ground. "Master, they tried to pour this into the rice fields last night, but we stopped them just in time."
Tyler crouched down to inspect the water in the can. "It’s limewater."
Limewater? Loki had actually smartened up this time, learning to try and give her a taste of her own medicine.
"You’re framing me! I didn’t do anything!" Loki stubbornly refused to admit it, stiffening his neck.
Tyler scoffed. "This watering can is covered in your scent. Don’t tell me it has nothing to do with you."
Just then, with bloodshot eyes, Galen struggled and snapped the vines binding him, lunging at Ophelia. "Ophelia, you killed my sister! I’ll make you pay with your life!"
With a mere flick of her wrist, Ophelia swatted the charging Galen to the ground. This casual display of power left both Loki and Galen utterly shocked.
"How did you do that?" Loki couldn’t believe his eyes. He peered closely at Ophelia and sharply noticed the slight bulge of her lower abdomen.
"You’re pregnant? Whose is it?" A ruthless glint surfaced in Loki’s eyes. His gaze was like a knife, glaring fiercely at Ophelia’s belly as if trying to slice it open.
Ophelia naturally noticed his stare, and Tyler immediately stepped forward to block Loki’s vicious gaze.
Pinned to the ground by the males, Galen’s expression twisted. "Why do you get to live so well while my sister had to die such a miserable death? She only made a small mistake, yet you were so ruthless. You’re too vicious, Ophelia!"
"Since you miss her so much, why don’t you go accompany her?"
Ophelia gave a look to the Ten Thousand Beasts City male restraining him. Without hesitation, the male cleanly snapped Galen’s neck. Loki watched in dumbfounded horror.
Ophelia shifted her gaze to Loki, her eyes brimming with murderous intent. "Now, it’s your turn."
"No, please don’t! Ophelia, I know I was wrong! I’ll never do it again! For Amy’s sake, just let me go this once!" Loki was truly terrified now, begging desperately for his life.
"Loki, when you were plotting to take my life, didn’t you consider the consequences?"
"Princess, be careful!" Tyler handed Ophelia a Bone Knife.
Gripping the Bone Knife, Ophelia slowly approached Loki. He thrashed around but was pinned firmly by the males on either side of him. Seeing Loki’s wretched state brought Ophelia nothing but immense satisfaction. Between the grudges of her past life and his actions this time, she was finally going to unleash her wrath.
Ophelia raised the Bone Knife high, aiming straight for Loki’s heart.
Just then, a deep, resonant male voice rang out. "Ophelia, wait!"
Ophelia turned her head and saw a middle-aged male sprinting hurriedly toward them. This man was no stranger to her—it was Loki’s father, Soro.
"Ophelia, please spare Loki this once! I am willing to offer you 500 paces of Snow Wolf Clan territory in exchange."
Five hundred paces was equivalent to five hundred square meters.
"Clan Leader Soro is certainly generous." Ophelia twirled the Bone Knife in her hand, looking at Loki, who was trembling like a leaf. Her beautiful eyes darted in thought. Trading Loki’s life for five hundred square meters of land was well worth it.
"Ophelia, I can guarantee that he will never cause you any trouble again. Just let him off this once," Soro pleaded.
Loki also looked at Ophelia with hopeful anticipation, praying she would spare his life. "Yes, Ophelia! As long as you forgive me this time, I swear I’ll never appear in front of you again!"
"So you’re not going to avenge Miche?" Ophelia raised an eyebrow.
"I’m not! She brought it upon herself by doing what she did!"
Between avenging Miche and saving his own life, Loki chose his life without a second thought.
"Very well, I can let you go this once."
Overjoyed, Loki let out a sigh of relief, but Ophelia’s next words sent his spirits crashing back down to rock bottom.
"Soro, I can spare Loki this time, but he can no longer be the Clan Leader of the Snow Wolf Clan."
She would let Loki live, but she was going to teach him a severe lesson. Making him watch the things he cared about most slowly slip away from his grasp—now *that* would be satisfying!
"No, Father! You can’t agree to that!" Loki immediately protested.
He had finally managed to become the Clan Leader of the Snow Wolf Clan. If he were to be deposed now, how could he ever show his face again? He would become the first Clan Leader in the history of the Snow Wolf Clan to be stripped of his title. How would he ever maintain a foothold in the clan?
"In that case, you might as well leave your life here," Tyler said, irritated by Loki’s sheer audacity to push his luck.
"Alright, alright! I agree to it!" Soro hastily agreed, seeing that Ophelia’s murderous intent was completely genuine.
"In that case, I expect the Snow Wolf Clan to head to Ten Thousand Beasts City tomorrow to handle the land transfer procedures. Otherwise..." Ophelia left the rest unsaid, but her meaning was crystal clear to everyone.
Soro knew that Ophelia had the backing of the City Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts City, so he naturally didn’t dare go back on his word. Thus, early the next morning, he took the Clan Leader Token and the Sheepskin Scroll to Ten Thousand Beasts City to facilitate the land transfer and the Clan Leader succession procedures.
