Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Pregnant, Whose Child Is It?

Hearing the gentle voice of the little female, the unconscious Zerev slowly opened his eyes.

"Ophelia, are you okay?" The very first thing Zerev did upon waking was to sit up and check Ophelia for injuries.

Though the bottom of the cliff was pitch black, his eyes had night vision.

"I’m fine, but your injuries..." Ophelia trailed off, shaking her head.

As soon as her hand touched Zerev’s arm, it was stained with a sticky liquid.

"Why are you so foolish? You knew he did it on purpose, so why did you let yourself get hurt?"

Zerev didn’t seem to mind. With his uninjured hand, he gently stroked Ophelia’s cheek. "I don’t care. I just want you to be safe."

Ophelia was about to speak but suddenly felt dizzy and fell unconscious once again.

"Ophelia! Ophelia, what’s wrong?"

Zerev gathered Ophelia in his arms and tried to rouse her, but no matter how much he called out, she showed no signs of waking up.

He glanced around but couldn’t see any other way out. Gritting his teeth, he held Ophelia tightly against his chest and rolled his shoulders. His wings materialized behind his back once again.

Right now, one wing remained as pristine and white as snow, while the other was twisted at an unnatural angle, its feathers stained crimson with blood.

Enduring the agonizing pain, Zerev flapped his wings and took to the air with Ophelia in his arms. However, with his injured wing, he couldn’t sustain flight with an extra person for long. But since Ophelia was unconscious, he had to push past his physical limits, relying purely on sheer willpower as he flew upward.

Moye sat at the edge of the cliff with Tyler, waiting. Looking up at the bright, silvery moon in the sky, he prayed silently in his heart.

He prayed, "Young Master, you absolutely must be safe."

Just then, the resounding roar of a dragon echoed through the air. A massive black figure slowly emerged from the bottom of the abyss.

"It’s the young master! It’s the young master!" Moye cried out in pure elation.

Tyler quickly stood up and rushed forward to meet them.

Upon seeing Moye and the others, Zerev could no longer hold on. His body plummeted straight toward the ground. With quick reflexes, Tyler caught Ophelia, while Moye hurriedly supported Zerev.

"Ophelia passed out. Save her. Go to Ten Thousand Beasts City."

Holding on to his last breath, Zerev managed to force those words out before collapsing in Moye’s arms.

Mo Ye was alarmed. He quickly called for the surrounding males, and together they brought Ophelia and Zerev back to Ten Thousand Beasts City.

In Ten Thousand Beasts City, the City Lord Mansion was brightly lit. Every physician in the city had been summoned.

Yet, no matter how many physicians examined Ophelia, none could determine the cause of her coma.

Having had his wounds bandaged, Zerev walked over with Moye’s support. "How is Ophelia?"

Tyler replied with a cold expression, "She hasn’t woken up yet."

"To answer the City Lord, we cannot find the reason for the little female’s unconsciousness. She has no external injuries, nor are there any signs of venomous insect bites. It is as if she has simply fallen into a deep slumber," the physicians chimed in, reporting one after another.

Zerev’s face darkened. "With so many physicians here, you can’t even find the cause? What use are you all?"

The physicians shrank back in fear, drawing their necks in like frightened turtles.

"If you cannot cure her, none of you will leave the City Lord Mansion."

The atmosphere in the room grew increasingly heavy.

One emboldened physician took a stone out of his medical kit and gently placed it on Ophelia’s stomach. As soon as the stone touched her skin, it emitted a burst of red light.

"What is this?"

"Congratulations, City Lord! Congratulations! This little female is pregnant," one of the physicians excitedly reported to Moye.

"What? You’re saying she’s pregnant?" Zerev was utterly shocked.

He quickly checked the Mate Beast Mark on his arm, only to find that the little golden dragon on his skin had turned red at some point. The red mark indicated that Ophelia had already been pregnant for a month.

"She’s pregnant with my child," Zerev murmured in sheer disbelief.

He and the little female had only been intimate once, yet she had already conceived.

Hearing this, Moye quickly glanced at Tyler. Tyler’s face remained impassive, as though the news of Ophelia’s pregnancy hadn’t stirred a single ripple in his heart.

"Why is the Princess still unconscious?" Tyler asked.

"Ah, regarding that... The little female has just become pregnant and suffered a severe fright, which is why she is in this deep sleep. Once she is fully rested, she will naturally wake up tomorrow."

Hearing the physician’s explanation, everyone finally let out a collective sigh of relief.

"I will watch over the Princess tonight. You go get some proper rest," Tyler said.

Zerev also wanted to stay and take care of Ophelia, but thinking of his injuries, he hesitated.

Seeing this, Moye quickly advised, "Young Master, if you don’t let your wounds heal properly, how will you be able to take care of Ophelia?"

Zerev pursed his lips. "I will rest next door. If anything happens, report to me immediately. Do not hide anything from me!"

Tyler nodded. He then picked up a damp animal-skin cloth to gently wipe the bloodstains off Ophelia’s body.

Zerev stood where he was and watched for a moment before turning to leave.

After wiping away all the grime from Ophelia, Tyler knelt on one knee by the bed. His brown eyes fixed on her as if he could never get enough of looking at her.

"You’ve suffered, Princess. It’s all my fault for being so useless," Tyler choked out.

The only response he received was Ophelia’s steady breathing.

Tyler’s gaze shifted to her stomach, which was still flat. He clenched his fists, but eventually, he couldn’t resist gently placing a hand on her soft belly.

In truth, the very moment he heard about Ophelia’s pregnancy, he had also checked the Mate Beast Mark branded on his chest. However, the little dragon on it remained golden, completely unchanged. Thus, he knew the cub the Princess was carrying belonged to Zerev.

Although he felt a sense of disappointment, he let it go upon learning that the Princess’s life was not in danger. He truly wanted to have a child with Ophelia too, but as long as she was safe, nothing else mattered.

The next day, Ophelia woke up feeling no discomfort whatsoever. She was utterly astounded when she heard the news of her pregnancy.

She looked at Tyler with a hint of guilt in her eyes, hesitating to speak.

Tyler understood what she was thinking. He rubbed her soft hair with his large, rough hand. "It’s okay, Princess. I just want you to be well. Nothing else matters."

"Tyler," Ophelia cried, throwing herself into his arms with reddened eyes.

Zerev, who was just stepping into the room at that moment, felt a twinge of discomfort at the sight. But he quickly adjusted his emotions.

Seeing Zerev walk in, Tyler helped Ophelia sit up properly.

"Zerev, how are your injuries?" Ophelia asked.

Zerev shook his head with a faint smile. "My injuries are nothing serious anymore. I made some porridge. Come, have a taste."

Ophelia looked at the white porridge on the table in surprise. "You actually know how to make porridge?"

Zerev avoided her gaze. "Yeah, it’s just boiling some porridge. How hard could it be?"

Ophelia smiled, picked up the bowl, and took a sip. Meeting Zerev’s expectant gaze, she beamed. "It’s delicious."

"If you like it, I’ll make it for you every day from now on."

Three days later, as the initial joy of Ophelia’s pregnancy gradually subsided, Zerev’s mood began to change.

Moye, who frequently kept an eye on his young master due to his lingering injuries, noticed his unusual behavior.

"Young Master, what’s wrong?" he asked.

"She’s pregnant."

"Isn’t Ophelia’s pregnancy good news? Why do you look so troubled, Young Master?"

Zerev gazed in the direction of the Holy Capital and spoke slowly. "The moment a cub of the Winged Dragon Clan is born, the Dragon Stone in the Holy Capital will light up.

"When that happens, everyone in the Holy Capital will know."
