Chapter 391: Chapter 205: Riding the Wind to Fly, a New Yuqing Secret Skill

As Qin Huaiming spoke, he formed his fingers into a sword seal and pointed through the air. A condensed stream of Five Yang Qi shot out, striking Yang Wenqing’s Shanzhong acupoint with perfect accuracy.

This external force entered his body like a basin of ice water, instantly dousing the burning pleasure in Yang Wenqing’s mind and forcibly intervening in his nearly out-of-control circulation of Spiritual Qi.

Yang Wenqing was jolted from his trance. He immediately suppressed his roiling emotions, forcibly halted the circulation of the Yuqing Secret Skill, and severed the connection between his consciousness and the Golden Core World.

PUH—

A sweet taste rose in his throat. The circulation of Five Yang Qi through his five viscera had been cut off, causing his own qi to reverse its flow. He coughed up a mouthful of dark, reddish-gold blood that splattered onto the floor. It let out a soft TSSSS before being evaporated by the residual Spiritual Qi.

But once he coughed up the stagnant blood, the overloaded pressure in his body eased. The dull ache in his organs and the burning distension in his Spiritual Veins rapidly subsided.

Qin Huaiming immediately cast a Greenwood Art on Yang Wenqing, while Yang Wenqing himself shut down the Spirit Gathering Array. The next moment, the vortex of energy that had converged around him dissipated.

"Master... I..." Yang Wenqing cupped his hands, about to explain.

Qin Huaiming raised a hand to stop him, placing it on Yang Wenqing’s wrist. "Relax." As he spoke, he sent a stream of his own Five Yang Qi into Yang Wenqing’s body, simultaneously using his Divine Sense to inspect the young man’s organs.

After a moment, he withdrew his hand. "You’re lucky," he said to Yang Wenqing. "It’s just a mild shock to your organs, and your Spiritual Veins are only slightly burned. You’ve already coughed up the stagnant blood. If I’d been a moment later and let the Five Yang Qi continue to accumulate and rampage, it would have damaged the foundational qi of your organs. You could have forgotten about this tournament. You would have needed at least three to five years to recover."

Yang Wenqing lowered his head, his face filled with shame. "I was greedy for progress and acted recklessly, nearly causing a disaster. I am ready to accept my punishment, Master."

Qin Huaiming looked at him and sighed. "You must remember the lesson you learned today. While courageously striving for progress on the path of cultivation is admirable, knowing when to stop is a matter of life and death."

"I will remember Master’s teachings," Yang Wenqing replied solemnly.

Just then, Lan Ying flew over with a flutter of her wings and landed on Yang Wenqing’s shoulder. She nuzzled his cheek with her little head, and her thoughts, a mixture of lingering fear and concern, entered his Spirit Sea: ’I should have woken you. I’ll be more careful next time.’

She felt a little guilty.

Yang Wenqing gently stroked her, a mix of warmth and guilt swirling in his heart.

Qin Huaiming spoke again, his voice filled with emotion. "Though it was dangerous, the rewards are truly astonishing. The ratio of Spiritual Qi converted to Five Yang Qi in your body is already close to thirty percent. This surpasses many Cultivators of the same level who have been immersed in this path for decades. For the next few days, you should focus on gentle nourishment. Consolidate this sudden surge in your foundation, and let your body and Divine Sense fully adapt to the internal changes."

"I understand!" Yang Wenqing nodded firmly.

"Regulate your breathing for a bit. This afternoon, I’ll take you for a walk around the island and teach you a Yuqing Skill for wielding the Five Yang Qi in your body." A smile finally broke across Qin Huaiming’s face.

Yang Wenqing did as he was told, calming his mind and entering meditation. He began the most basic form of Qi Cultivation, guiding the Five Yang Qi he had just refined to harmonize within his organs.

Time slipped by in silent meditation. The hours always fly by when one is cultivating.

Yang Wenqing continued until he felt the circulation within his organs completely stabilize and the connection to his Qi Sea and Spiritual Veins become smooth and unobstructed. When the qi inside him felt perfectly harmonious, he ceased his cultivation and opened his eyes. Only he and a dozing Lan Ying remained in the Quiet Chamber. His master, Qin Huaiming, had left at some point without him noticing.

But the moment he opened his eyes, his master’s voice echoed in his mind: "Come downstairs."

Yang Wenqing didn’t dare to delay. He woke the still-drowsy Lan Ying and cast a Dust Clearing Skill on them both. Then, with a now fully-awake Lan Ying, he pushed open the door to the Quiet Chamber and descended the absurdly wide spiral staircase.

In the center of the vast, empty hall, a tea set had been arranged. It was a common square table, upon which sat a palm-sized celadon teapot, three matching tasting cups, and a small ceramic tea caddy.

Beside the table was a small, red-clay stove. A copper kettle sat atop it, its spout BUBBLE, BUBBLING with hot steam.

Everything was utterly ordinary, yet it was all placed precisely in the center of this enormous hall!

In this vast emptiness, the small tea set looked as tiny as a forgotten game piece. Instead of filling the space, its presence only served to accentuate the boundless emptiness and silence of its surroundings.

Qin Huaiming sat cross-legged on a rush cushion to one side of the table, his back to the staircase. He was unhurriedly lifting the copper kettle, pouring boiling water into the celadon teapot.

"Come, sit," he said without turning his head, his voice echoing slightly in the vast hall.

Yang Wenqing composed himself and strode forward. Lan Ying had already taken flight. As Yang Wenqing respectfully sat on the cushion opposite his master, Lan Ying landed back on his shoulder, craning her neck to peer at the swirling tea leaves in the pot.

Qin Huaiming’s technique was masterful. Rinsing the leaves, steeping the tea, pouring the cups—his movements were as smooth and fluid as flowing water. Soon, he slid a cup of pale tea before Yang Wenqing.

"Try it. It’s the ’Cloud Tea’ grown here on the island. While not as rare as the famous teas from the Provincial Government, it grows in a place rich in Five Yang Five Qi. It carries a natural, pure spiritual essence that helps harmonize the organs." Qin Huaiming picked up his own cup, gently blowing away the steam.

Yang Wenqing lifted the cup with both hands and took a small sip. The tea was faintly bitter as it went down, but a sweet aftertaste quickly followed. A gentle, cooling energy flowed down his throat.
