I Can Transfer the Side Effects of Evil Skills
Chapter 836: Falling into Reincarnation?
Seeing a massive horde of Ox-headed and Horse-faced demons surging wildly toward him, Zou Feng naturally didn’t waste time overthinking. He decided to send them to the afterlife first and ask questions later.
His hands shifted through hand seals for a Technique. The Treasure Lotus Lamp levitated above his head, its dazzling light abruptly becoming blindingly intense. It was as if he had just switched from low beams to high beams. Illuminated by these “high beams,” all the Ox-headed and Horse-faced demons about to pounce on Zou Feng were instantly frozen in place.
Having immobilized the vast swarm of demons, Zou Feng’s hand seals blossomed like a Lotus.
PUFF, PUFF, PUFF…
A rapid succession of muffled bursts echoed through the air. Whether they were Bull Heads or Ma Mians, every demon frozen by the dazzling light had their heads blown apart. It was as if Lotus Seeds had long been planted inside their skulls. Now, exposed to the right “sunlight,” they underwent photosynthesis and bloomed.
In moments, the area around Zou Feng was cleared of Ox-headed and Horse-faced demons, all transformed into “Lotus heads.”
Meanwhile, Ma Qianqin was putting on a display of absolute violence. She didn’t use any Skills at all. Or rather, her painstakingly tempered physical body was the very manifestation of her Skills. Facing the demons swarming toward her, she first sank into a firm Horse Stance. She spread her arms wide and then clapped her hands together with immense force.
Along with the deafening boom produced by the clap, an invisible shockwave was unleashed like a tsunami. Countless Ox-headed and Horse-faced demons were blasted into pieces before they could even utter a scream. Their blood and flesh were then carried away by the continuing shockwave, leaving not even a speck of dust behind in the blink of an eye.
Of course, this was only the beginning. Next, Ma Qianqin continued to clap her hands, over and over again. Even as thousands of Ox-headed and Horse-faced demons charged fearlessly in endless waves, she merely kept clapping.
CLAP, CLAP, CLAP…
The continuous, crisp sounds of the rhythmic collisions naturally made Zou Feng reminisce about the beautiful times when his Dao Companions were still by his side. Using only their simplest and most direct methods, the two of them completed a “peerless harvest” without exerting much effort. In less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, not a single Ox-headed and Horse-faced demon was left standing.
However, these cannon fodder had ultimately bought time for Meng Po. The green-clad Meng Po from earlier seemed to have finished her preparations. She was raising her arms high, roaring continuously. Accompanied by her incessant, bizarre shrieks, three more Meng Pos suddenly appeared nearby.
These three newly emerged Meng Pos wore red, yellow, and blue brocade robes, respectively. Combined with the original Meng Po’s green, it was unclear if this color scheme held any hidden significance. Four Meng Pos naturally meant four Nascent Soul Realm Tribulation Cultivators.
The sudden appearance of such a formidable lineup wasn’t actually surprising. The Pinnacle Celestial Immortal Sect had already stormed the headquarters of the Yama Underworld. If these Tribulation Cultivators didn’t come out in full force for a desperate final struggle, they might as well slit their own throats and apologize for their failures.
Fortunately, as Direct Disciples of the Immortal Sect, Zou Feng and Ma Qianqin were far beyond what ordinary Nascent Soul Realm Tribulation Cultivators could compare to. Facing four Nascent Soul Realm Meng Pos, the two of them genuinely didn’t feel anything was amiss. It was the perfect opportunity to take them all out in one fell swoop!
Unexpectedly, relying on their home-ground advantage, the Meng Pos’ pre-arranged tricks had already finished brewing. The three newly emerged Meng Pos, just like the green-clad one from the start, raised their arms high and let out continuous, eerie shrieks. Triggered by their bizarre cries, the previously pitch-black sky above them actually… collapsed!
Indeed, it at least looked as though the sky had fallen. A massive rift tore open in the heavens, and an immense volume of unidentified liquid poured down like a ruptured dam. Zou Feng only needed a single glance to realize that the liquid was none other than Meng Po Soup. But the sheer amount was simply too much!
With four Meng Pos, the downpour of Meng Po Soup also came in four different colors. As the soups mixed together, their hues constantly shifted, inducing a sense of intense drowsiness just by looking at them. Given Zou Feng’s current level of strength, the fact that merely looking at it could make him dizzy proved just how terrifying this Meng Po Soup was. Of course, the primary issue was the overwhelming quantity. Heaven only knew how they had conjured up an entire river of Meng Po Soup.
The soup covered too vast an area; it was too late to dodge. Moreover, the four Meng Pos were glaring at them menacingly from an encircling formation. There was no way they would let Zou Feng and Ma Qianqin escape smoothly.
In this moment of urgency, Zou Feng didn’t panic. He thrust both palms upward, and a massive Golden Lotus materialized, acting as a giant umbrella to shield him. As for why he didn’t use the Treasure Lotus Lamp… it was, after all, something he had just tinkered together, and it hadn’t been forged with the intention of being a defensive Magical Treasure. He couldn’t exactly use things like “chandeliers” and “speakers” to help himself withstand a disaster…
Not far away, Ma Qianqin’s method of dealing with the waterfall of Meng Po Soup was still simple and direct.
CLAP, CLAP, CLAP…
She clapped three times in rapid succession toward the sky, clearly intending to blow the Meng Po Soup away with an even more powerful shockwave. Initially, they assumed the four Meng Pos’ tricks could be easily countered with on-the-fly reactions. Unexpectedly, both Zou Feng and Ma Qianqin had underestimated the potency of the Meng Po Soup.
The moment the Meng Po Soup poured onto Zou Feng’s “Golden Lotus Umbrella,” the liquid instantly corroded it, riddling it with a thousand holes. Consequently, Zou Feng ended up taking the full brunt of the heavy downpour of Meng Po Soup.
However, he still didn’t panic. He possessed a physique invulnerable to all poisons; as long as he wasn’t completely submerged in the Meng Po Soup, he would be fine. As the “raindrops” of Meng Po Soup fell on his body, he decided it was the perfect time to study exactly what marvelous properties this stuff had.
