Chapter 114 - 92: Where Did They Find This Construction Crew?

Chapter 114: Chapter 92: Where Did They Find This Construction Crew?

Time passed.

Two days went by in a flash.

Kailin Investment’s construction site had more sand and gravel delivered. A few small construction teams were already busy clearing the land. As soon as the larger teams finished their current jobs, they would also come over to start work immediately, intending to build this campground in the fastest time possible.

Zhao Neng arrived at the construction site early in the morning again.

Even with a comprehensive plan and complete confidence, this was, after all, an investment of over 50 million.

He inspected the site, then looked toward Li Yuan Farm. "Has there been any movement from Li Yuan Farm in the last two days?"

His assistant shook his head. "I’ve had people keeping an eye on Li Yuan Farm the whole time. Other than that ten-acre plot they’re currently developing, there’s been no other activity. We haven’t seen any construction teams go in to survey the land or anything like that!"

Zhao Neng laughed at this. "It seems this President Zhang is either really lucky or just far too confident. He has no sense of urgency at all. I refuse to believe he’s still unaware of our plan at Kailin Investment, yet he still hasn’t made a move."

Of course, Zhang Lin hadn’t been doing nothing.

For one, he had applied for a loan in the past two days.

A 40 million loan.

Originally, because of funding issues, he hadn’t planned on making the campground as large as 2,000 acres.

He currently had 15 million in his account, which was almost enough to build a fairly large campground.

But thanks to Kailin Investment, he had no choice but to also build a 2,000-acre campground. The construction costs for that would be substantial, estimated at over 50 million.

This was, of course, the price in the real world.

He didn’t know the game system’s price yet. He had to wait for Fu Yao to give him the blueprints so he could choose one. Only then would the game system quote him a price.

Thus, getting the loan was a way of planning ahead.

Furthermore, he wasn’t going through the standard bank loan procedure. The county government found out he needed to borrow money, so Magistrate Liu’s office had a word with the bank. They approved a special county-level entrepreneurial support loan for him, and the funds would be released in just two or three days.

There were no mandatory monthly repayments. Instead, they signed a special agreement stating that once the campground was built, its revenue would be used for repayment until the loan was paid in full.

This was another form of special support from the county, allowing him to avoid impacting Li Yuan Farm’s other projects and its regular development.

Zhang Lin arrived at the farm early in the morning, and a notification popped up on the game interface in his mind:

The first batch of fireflies in the special Firefly Breeding and Cultivation Room has hatched!

As soon as he saw the notification, he immediately headed for the Firefly Breeding and Cultivation Room.

Inside the Firefly Breeding and Cultivation Room, he could see dense clusters of firefly larvae on the leaves of the special plants in the dim light. At this stage, the luminescent part of their tails wasn’t fully developed, so they didn’t glow.

’In the future, these fireflies will be one of this farm’s biggest secret weapons.’

Once he cultivated a sufficient number from this first batch, he planned to introduce them to the campground as soon as it was built.

With the fireflies’ Growth Speed +1 attribute, he was sure to have enough of them by then.

’The combination of the game system’s attributes and the appeal of a firefly campground... the effect would be devastating to the competition.’

’So, it was laughable that Kailin Investment, completely unaware of his trump card, would even dream of intercepting his plans.’

As he was thinking, his phone rang. The call was from Lin Muxue, the person in charge of their online operations.

He answered, and his Senior Sister Lin’s voice came through. "President Zhang, I wanted to ask you about Yaoyao. I don’t think the farm has signed her to a contract yet. We want her to film some videos to maintain the farm’s online popularity and traffic, so what should we do? Do we sign a contract with her?"

Zhang Lin chuckled. "Senior Sister Lin, Fu Yao is actually on her way to the farm right now. Her final exams just ended, so she’s coming to work here for the summer. When she gets here, you can ask her if she’s willing to sign. If not, don’t worry about it. Just have her cooperate with filming the videos."

"Alright!" Lin Muxue replied, though she sounded a little hesitant. ’Normally, we’d only have someone film videos after signing them to a contract, since it’s basically giving them free exposure and traffic.’

’Anyone who doesn’t sign is usually cast aside in favor of someone who is under contract.’

But since her boss had given the order, she didn’t question it. She put her phone away and prepared to head to the farm.

「At the farm.」

Zhang Lin hung up and was about to put his phone away when it rang again.

It was Fu Yao.

He answered, and Fu Yao’s voice rang out, "Uncle, I’ve finished the blueprints! I’m in a cab on my way to the farm right now."

"I’ll wait for you at the service center," Zhang Lin replied with a smile.

’The blueprints were ready. Now, he just had to wait for the county to release the funds, and construction on his campground could officially begin.’

’The speed of the game’s construction crew would probably leave Zhao Neng from Kailin Investment completely stunned.’

Zhang Lin didn’t have to wait long at the service center before Fu Yao rushed over.

She was wearing a simple white T-shirt and jeans, looking the very picture of youthful radiance.

It’s no wonder so many men are forever drawn to youth.

"Uncle!" The moment Fu Yao saw Zhang Lin, she trotted over to him. She was holding a tablet, which she shook excitedly. "I brought the blueprints!"

Just then, Zhang Lin’s phone rang. It was Lin Muxue. He answered and learned she had arrived at the farm, so he told her their location.
