I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 330: That’s all?
All ten lizard men charged at once. For a moment, Leon didn’t move. But then he leaned forward slightly. The ground beneath his feet wasn’t hard enough and caved in slightly. "Blazing layer," Leon whispered.
Whoooooosh! Fire erupted, swallowing both of Leon’s arms. Then... He vanished from where he was. One lizard man with an orb stopped in its tracks as it felt something behind it. But before it could turn back...
Schlk!
A blazing arm pierced through its back and burst out from the front.
Whoooooosh! Fire swallowed the monster.
Leon yanked his hand back and vanished once more.
This time, none could even sense him.
While the remaining nine were rushing toward Emily and others as Leon had vanished, Leon appeared before another lizard man with an orb.
Before the monster could even react, Leon’s hand shot out. His palm slammed into the monster’s face, pinning it hard to the ground.
Crack!
The impact shattered the ground beneath the monster’s head. Though the ground was soft, the monster was unlucky to hit a metal slab in the ground.
It couldn’t even scream as fire engulfed it as well.
Finally, the other monsters stopped.
Two monsters without orbs lunged at Leon. One with an orb held it higher and thrust its other arm toward Leon.
Leon wove between the attacks as multiple ice spikes shot toward him. He appeared before the monster in the blink of an eye and threw a punch.
The punch was simple. No flashy movement. No extra time to gather more energy. But the moment Leon’s fist slammed into the monster’s head, the lizard man exploded as chunks of flesh and internal organs with blood splattered on the ground.
Only one lizard man with an orb remained. Leon raised his hand and pointed toward the monster. "Flame barrage."
The moment he whispered that, multiple fiery arrows materialized in the air before him and shot toward the lizard with the orb.
The lizard reacted quickly. Three ice walls materialized before it one after another.
But...
Shatter!
Shatter!
Shatter!
All three walls were destroyed the moment the fiery arrows struck them. The arrows continued their assault and struck the lizard.
Schlk!
Schlk!
Schlk!
Boooooom!
The monster exploded into nothingness.
Out of ten, four already died. And it hadn’t been even one minute.
Snow didn’t even notice that she was holding her breath as her eyes were desperately trying to follow Leon’s movements. "I am glad I am not his enemy." She said while smiling helplessly.
Leon stood before the remaining six monsters. All of their arms were wrapped up in a thick layer of greenish energy. Even the air seemed to be sizzling around them.
As green liquid dripped from their claws and maws and touched the ground, the spot was instantly corroded.
"Now," Leon said as he raised his hand. He curled his fingers except the index one. He gestured with it, signalling them to come at him.
No monster moved. They were staring at Leon warily. This human had already slaughtered four of them before they could even react to what was going on. Unlike normal lizard men, these A-Class monsters seemed to have some bit of intelligence.
But seeing them not making their move, Leon sighed. "Looks like I scared them too much. Now I have to do it myself. What a pain." Saying that, Leon moved once more. He vanished from his position.
The six lizard men panicked and turned to leave. But Leon materialized before one of them out of nowhere.
The lizard raised its arms in a cross, intending to shield whatever Leon was about to throw at it. But as a few seconds passed, the anticipated pain didn’t arrive. The monster slowly removed its hands only to see Leon grinning before it. Before the monster could react, Leon’s hand moved. The action happened so fast that it felt like Leon’s arm only stirred a little.
But the next moment, Leon was grabbing the lizard’s wrist. The lizard tried to yank its hand in fear. But its arm didn’t move even an inch.
Emily and others were waiting. Waiting to see what Leon would do next. Because, by now, even they could tell what was going on. Leon had eliminated the lizard men with ice affinity first. Or, to be more precise, lizards with affinities other than poison.
And Leon didn’t disappoint them. He yanked the monster’s arm and struck his own chest with the monster’s claw-like fingers. The area surrounding the pierced flesh turned green instantly, poison invading his body.
But instead of pain, Leon felt excited. Because the notification he had been waiting for arrived once more.
[The host is being exposed to poison.]
[Host’s poison resistance has increased. Poison resistance 32.50%]
[Poison resistance 33.21%]
The other five monsters froze only for a second before they attacked Leon at once. They all thought their comrade had actually overpowered Leon. If only they knew what they were throwing themselves into.
Schlk!
Schlk!
Schlk!
All the monsters attacked Leon at once, slashing their claws at him. Leon’s flesh was torn apart. Blood gushed out uncontrollably.
But he didn’t wince. He didn’t try to stop or avoid those attacks. If anything, he actually spread his arms a little. It was as if he was welcoming them to attack him.
The monsters totally missed what was going on. They kept attacking Leon relentlessly.
[Poison resistance 34%]
[Poison resistance 34.78%]
The more they attacked, the more Leon’s poison resistance kept rising.
Slash!
One lizard man even tore open a chunk of flesh from Leon’s body.
Emily and Snow covered their mouths in shock and fear.
"Big bro." Sol couldn’t take it anymore and started running.
But Leon waved his hand as a pressure stopped Sol in his tracks.
"Gravity magic," Sol whispered with widened eyes.
Though Leon hadn’t learned any gravity magic spell, the move was instinctive. He shook his head, asking Sol not to be impatient.
[Poison resistance 37.02%]
[Poison resistance 38.95%]
[Poison resistance 42.89%]
Finally, the resistance stopped at 42.89%. Leon sighed. "That’s all?"
