I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 304: Emily’s Invitation

At those words, both Cynthia and Drake looked angry. They wanted to shout. They wanted to force Leon to submission, but they barely had any energy left. They now knew it too well that they weren’t Leon’s match.

"If you think you can walk over us just because you are strong, you are greatly mistaken," Cynthia said through her gritted teeth. "You just killed a military officer. There will be consequences."

"I am not afraid of consequences. But if anyone tries to harm me, what should I do then? Just sit back and let others kill me, walk over me? He sent people to kill me inside the gate. When I came outside, he blamed me for defending myself. What should I have done then?" Leon said. " You all are in the military, but being in the military doesn’t give you the right to practice injustice. He tried to kill me but failed because he was weak. I am alive because I am strong. We can all leave it at that. I came here mainly to get a hunter license, but I don’t need it anymore. So I’ll be taking my leave now. But if you still try to pursue this matter, if you still try to come after me, don’t blame me for being cold."

Saying that, Leon started to walk away from the place. Rodriguez reached him. "I am sorry, Leon. I didn’t think something like this could have happened." Leon stopped and looked at him. "It’s alright," Leon said. "I know you didn’t mean it."

"You don’t have to go." Rodriguez said, "I can talk to the Colonel, and everything will be fixed."

"No, I am not leaving because of the problem. I am leaving because I don’t want to stay here anymore. I have something urgent to do." Leon said. "But what about your license? Didn’t you want a hunter license? Don’t you want to be a hunter anymore?" Rodriguez asked, confused.

"Yes, I still want to be a hunter."

"Then the license?" Rodríguez narrowed his eyes.

"I won’t be needing a license to enter a dungeon anymore," Leon replied calmly.

"Won’t be needing a license anymore? What does that mean?"

"That means whoever tries to stop me from entering a dungeon, I will just have to overpower them." After saying that, Leon didn’t stay even for a second and left, leaving behind a bewildered Rodriguez.

Meanwhile, Snow, Emily, and Sol were seated in a room. After they left the gate, everyone was dumbfounded to see two new people. Instead of Nolan and Nadeem, a girl and a boy were there, and what was even more shocking was that this girl was none other than Emily Fleming, the youngest S-Class hunter in the world.

"You two are from different countries, yet you dared to come inside a military organization. Are you two nuts?" Snow asked after staying silent for a long time. She had already wanted to ask this when all of them were inside the gate. But considering the situation, she hadn’t.

"Are we obligated to answer your question?" Emily asked coldly.

"My uncle is a company commander here. You two know that you are under observation, right?"

"Your uncle is a company commander, not you."

"What are you doing, sis?" Sol interjected from the side. He then looked at Snow. "You know we are acquainted with big bro. I mean, big bro Leon. We were worried about him that what if he fell into some kind of crisis in the military? So we came here just to keep an eye on him and help him whenever needed."

"Just to look out for him? Is that the reason that compelled you to take such a stupid decision? Entering the military region with fake appearances? That’s an international-level crime."

Emily didn’t reply to her and looked in another direction. But just before Snow could let it go with a sigh, Emily spoke. "What’s your relationship with him?"

Snow’s eyebrows narrowed a little before a smile crept into her face. "Awwww. Getting jealous, aren’t you?"

The temperature instantly dropped as Emily glared at Snow.

At that, Snow’s smile widened even more. "So you came here because you couldn’t stay away from him. Hahahhaha." She burst out laughing.

Emily’s jaw clenched. She really had started falling for Leon. Not that deep. But seeds of feelings were already sown the moment Leon had saved her inside the hidden realm. She already knew Leon liked her. Not desperately, but more like admiration and crush-type liking. She felt nothing at all in the beginning. But everything changed the moment Leon saved her from Nicholas’s attack inside the hidden realm.

Emily didn’t say anything else and only looked at Snow seriously. Snow stopped smiling after a bit and finally became serious. "I am his girlfriend," she said. "And stop having any imagination about him." She said seriously. In her mind... ’He can only be mine. I have to stop any chemistry growing between them.’ She thought.

"What?" Sol blurted out.

The air thickened as tension rose. Sol looked nervously at Emily and at Snow back and forth.

Just before their banter could grow deeper, someone knocked on the door. "Miss Herman, may I come in?" Someone said from outside the door. Snow averted her gaze from Emily and looked to the door. "Yes, come in." She said.

A soldier entered the room. "Miss Herman, your friend has come outside from the gate."

For the last few days, Snow and everyone else in this room had been waiting for Leon when he would come out. Now that someone had informed them about Leon’s return, both Emily and Snow looked happy. But, then they shared glances again, their faces becoming serious.

Both stormed out of the room in a rush as if they were in a competition. Leon was just about to cross when Snow arrived before him first. "Leon," she said hurriedly. "Did you complete the special task?"

Leon, who was leaving the cantonment in a hurry, stopped and looked at the people walking toward him. Emily, Snow, and Sol.

"Yeah, I completed it." He said casually.

"Really!" Snow was shocked but excited as well. Completing hidden tasks was not that easy. Even if someone was strong, it might take them ages just to find out what the special task was.

"Congrats, big bro," Sol said excitedly. As a hunter, he, too, knew very well what completing a special task of a permanent gate was.

"Congrats." Emily also wished him.

Then Snow started speaking again. "Leon, I should warn you about something. You don’t know, but, while we were inside the combined mission gate, a veteran officer was observing our performance. He reported everything after returning from the gate. Albert is waiting for your blood. You should..." She wanted to speak more but Leon waved his hand dismissively. "Don’t bother talking about that. It’s already taken care of."

"Already taken care of?" Snow asked in surprise.

"Yes. When I returned from the gate, Major Albert tried to kill me again."

"What?"

Emily and Sol were shocked. Snow didn’t look that shocked, though. She knew almost everyone here.

Major Albert had always been a cunning, greedy, and treacherous officer. She didn’t know why Albert was specifically after Leon, but she knew that it had to be some kind of benefit from him.

Leon briefed about how the moment he came outside the gate, he was surrounded. How Albert tried to blame him for killing his company soldiers. How Leon didn’t bother to show them any respect and finally ended up killing Major Albert.

The moment he said he actually killed Major Albert, even Snow was forced to stagger back this time. "Y-you killed a Major inside the cantonment and you were walking out just like that? They didn’t stop you?"

"Of course, they tried. But do you think they had the ability?"

At first nothin...

Then Snow burst into laughter. "Sorry, I almost forgot who I was talking to. Never mind. But now, it will be difficult for you to get a license."

"I don’t even need one anymore," Leon said.

"You don’t? But you were even ready to take the test for the military training camp. What happened?"

"That was then... Now the situation is different. I don’t need a license anymore to enter dungeons."

"Are you sure? Without a license, you won’t be able to enter dungeons."

"Don’t worry. I have my plans." Leon chuckled. Only he knew what he was planning.

"Then let’s leave," Snow said.

"Alright."

But just before they could leave, Emily spoke. "Leon, I know what you are intending to do. Forcing your way into dungeons, thinking you are strong, so nobody will be able to stop you. They may not be able to stop you, but this will cause a huge uproar. I just hope you don’t end up hurting innocent people, who will just be following orders."

She paused for a little while. "If it’s really that important to enter dungeons, come to my country. I’ll arrange a license for you. No exam. No test. Nothing. You just have to come."
