Chapter 133: Chapter 133: A Little More Fun II

The fight had changed completely.

Snow was faster. Shiro was smarter.

And together, they were covering each other’s weaknesses.

The remaining beasts saw their companion fall and charged.

Shiro immediately spread Frostbound Sanctuary across the battlefield.

Ice covered the ground.

Walls rose between the beasts.

The two B rank beasts were separated.

Snow moved between them.

One beast released a freezing breath.

Shiro raised a wall.

The attack was blocked.

Snow used the wall as a platform and leaped over it.

She landed behind the beast.

Before it could turn, Frost Chains wrapped around its hind legs.

The beast roared.

It broke one.

Two more appeared.

Snow struck.

The beast tried to defend.

Shiro changed the terrain beneath it.

Its footing disappeared.

Snow’s claws struck its chest.

The beast staggered.

Another chain caught its neck.

Then Snow attacked again.

The second B rank beast fell.

Caelia couldn’t hide her surprise anymore.

"Snow..."

The Frost Lynx was completely different from the one she had known before.

Her movements were cleaner.

Her strength was higher.

Even her ability to control her own body had improved.

And with Shiro supporting her, every movement had become more effective.

Only one B rank beast remained.

It was already wounded.

But it was also the most cautious.

It didn’t charge immediately.

Instead, it gathered Ice Elemental essence around its body.

The temperature dropped.

The beast’s fur became covered in thick frost.

Caelia’s expression changed.

"That looks dangerous."

Damon nodded.

"Yeah."

He watched Snow and Shiro.

"Let’s see how they handle it."

The beast disappeared.

Its body burst forward with frightening speed.

Snow barely avoided the first strike.

The beast turned and attacked again.

Shiro reacted instantly.

Frost Chains shot from the ground.

The beast cut through them.

Another group appeared.

It broke those too.

Then the beast released a wide Ice Art.

The entire battlefield became covered in sharp ice.

Snow had nowhere to run.

Shiro raised a barrier as the attack crashed into it.

The barrier cracked.

Shiro’s body shook.

Damon’s expression became serious.

"Come on."

Snow looked toward Shiro.

Their eyes met.

They understood each other.

Snow lowered her body.

Shiro dropped the barrier.

The moment the beast charged, Snow ran straight toward it.

Caelia’s eyes widened.

"She’s going in?"

Damon smiled.

"Watch."

Snow suddenly changed direction.

The beast followed.

Shiro raised the ground.

A wall appeared.

Snow ran along it.

Then jumped.

The beast followed her movement.

That was when Shiro struck.

Frost Chains erupted beneath the beast.

One caught its leg.

Then another.

Then another.

The beast tried to break free.

Snow landed behind it.

She attacked.

The beast turned.

Shiro pulled the chains.

Its body twisted.

Snow attacked again.

The beast stumbled.

Shiro’s Frostbound Sanctuary tightened around the battlefield.

Snow moved faster.

The beast grew slower.

Every time it tried to escape, another chain appeared.

Every time it attacked, Snow was already somewhere else.

The fight became completely one sided.

Finally, Snow leaped high into the air.

The Frost Lynx gathered the remaining strength in her body.

Ice formed around her claws.

She came down.

Boom!

Her attack struck the beast’s head.

The B rank beast collapsed.

Silence returned to the battlefield.

Caelia stared at Snow.

Then she smiled.

"She actually did it."

Damon laughed.

"Looks like she wasn’t planning on losing."

Snow turned toward them.

She was exhausted.

Her fur was covered in frost and dirt, and several injuries were still visible.

But she was standing.

Shiro stood beside her.

The Frost Qilin was breathing heavily too.

Damon immediately walked over.

"That was good."

Snow’s tail moved.

Shiro raised his head proudly.

Damon crouched and rubbed both of their heads.

"You two worked really well together."

Caelia joined them.

"You were amazing."

Snow immediately moved toward her.

Caelia hugged the Frost Lynx.

"You’ve gotten so much stronger."

Snow happily rubbed her head against Caelia.

Damon smiled.

"Don’t spoil her too much."

Caelia looked at him.

"You were just praising her."

"That’s different."

"How?"

"Because I’m allowed."

Caelia laughed.

"Right."

The other spirits joined them soon after.

Sylphie circled around Snow before landing beside her.

Freya also came over, clearly excited by the fight.

They had enjoyed the entire thing.

Damon wasn’t in a hurry to leave either.

"Everyone rest."

He took out several healing potions.

Snow and Shiro drank theirs.

The potions quickly helped their bodies recover, while Winter’s Blessing had already kept their injuries from becoming worse.

Damon also gave them Aether recovery potions.

They had spent a huge amount of Aether during the fight.

There was no reason to rush them back into another battle.

While the spirits rested, Damon looked toward the fallen beasts.

"Alright."

He rubbed his hands together.

"Time to get paid."

Caelia laughed.

"You really never miss an opportunity."

"Of course not."

Damon walked over and began harvesting the beasts.

Their cores were the most important part, but he carefully collected everything useful.

The Ice Elemental materials.

The tougher pieces of their bodies.

The claws.

The fangs.

Anything that could be used later.

Caelia soon joined him.

Damon looked at her.

"You’re helping?"

"Why wouldn’t I?"

He smiled.

"I thought you were going to leave all the dirty work to me."

Caelia’s cheeks became slightly red.

"After seeing how much strength these resources can provide, I’m not making that mistake again."

Damon laughed.

"So that’s what this is about."

"No."

"It definitely is."

Caelia looked away.

"We need every resource we can get."

Damon nodded.

"That’s true."

They continued harvesting.

Neither of them knew how much it would take to stabilize the Frostveil Expanse.

The process might require an enormous amount of resources.

It might even require something more than they had gathered yet.

So there was no such thing as having too much.

Damon looked at the pile of materials.

"The more, the better."

Caelia smiled.

"I was thinking the same thing."

Damon glanced at her.

"You’re learning."

She rolled her eyes.

"Don’t get too proud."

"I’m already proud."

Caelia laughed again.

By the time they finished, the spirits had recovered enough to move.

Shiro stood up and shook the remaining frost from his fur.

Snow also looked much better.

Damon looked toward the deeper part of Frostveil.

"Ready?"
