I Can Evolve Spirit Elementals
Chapter 129; A New Understanding
Chapter 129: Chapter 129; A New Understanding
Damon looked at the remaining resources.
There was still a lot he needed to learn.
How much could his Spirit Origin purify?
How much could Snow absorb?
Could the purified essence maintain its stability outside his body?
And most importantly...
Could the same process work on the Zone Heart?
He didn’t know yet.
But now he had something to work with.
Damon smiled.
"Let’s see how far this can go."
Damon continued the process.
He absorbed the Ice Elemental essence from the resources they had prepared, purified it through his Spirit Origin, and then carefully passed it into Snow.
At first, he was slow.
He wanted to understand every part of the process.
How much essence could he purify at once?
How quickly could he move it through his Spirit Origin?
How much could Snow actually absorb?
But the longer he continued, the more familiar it became.
Damon gradually increased the pace.
The process became smoother.
He no longer needed to think about every little movement.
His control had improved after reaching Lord Rank, and it was making the experiment much easier than he had expected.
Soon, the purified essence was flowing into Snow almost continuously.
Damon only stopped when he noticed something.
Snow wasn’t absorbing it fast enough anymore.
He slowed down.
"That’s your limit?"
Snow gave a small sound.
Damon nodded.
"Alright. We’ll stay at this pace."
From then on, he matched her speed.
Caelia hadn’t interrupted him once.
She simply watched.
The more she watched, the more serious her expression became.
Through her connection with Snow, she could feel what was happening.
The purified Ice Elemental essence felt different.
It was clean.
There was no struggle when Snow absorbed it.
Her body accepted it naturally, and even her Spirit seemed to be responding to it.
Caelia understood how valuable this was.
Spirit Elementals didn’t evolve easily in this world.
For many elemental users, seeing their Spirit Elemental evolve even once could take years.
Some never saw it happen at all.
Normally, Spirit Elementals needed pure elemental essence to grow.
That essence could come from powerful elemental beast cores, elemental ores, and other rare resources.
But even those resources had become harder to use as the years passed.
The mutation of Distorted Zones was making everything worse.
The elemental essence found in beasts was becoming more impure.
The resources gathered from unstable areas were becoming less reliable.
Even the Birthgrounds weren’t as valuable as they once were.
Caelia had always understood why the major families protected their Birthgrounds so carefully.
They were special places.
Places where Spirit Elementals could receive purer elemental essence.
But even those places were slowly losing their value.
That was one of the reasons Spirit Elementals had become harder to evolve.
And now Damon had found a way around it.
He could purify the essence himself.
Caelia looked at him.
She finally understood why his Spirit Elementals had grown so quickly.
They weren’t simply lucky.
They had been receiving pure elemental essence constantly.
And Damon could do the same for others.
He was practically a walking treasure.
But she didn’t feel jealous.
Instead, she felt a deeper respect for him.
Caelia didn’t know everything about Damon’s Spirit Origin.
She probably never would unless he chose to tell her.
But she understood enough.
And she knew how important this discovery was.
She silently made a decision.
She would keep it between them.
Damon trusted her enough to show her this.
She wouldn’t betray that trust.
Damon, meanwhile, was still focused on the experiment.
The more he used his Spirit Origin, the more answers he gained.
It wasn’t simply nurturing his Spirit Elementals.
It could purify elemental essence.
It could refine Aether.
It could turn something impure into something his spirits could easily absorb.
The more he thought about it, the more questions appeared.
Why him?
Why had he awakened a White Core without an elemental affinity?
Why did he have a Spirit Origin?
And why did everything seem to fit together so perfectly?
Damon shook his head.
"Not now."
He pushed the thoughts aside.
He had enough questions already.
There was no point getting distracted before he understood the basics.
He continued the process.
After Snow had received enough, Damon began balancing the amount of essence going toward Shiro.
The Frost Qilin was still connected directly to the Spirit Origin, so the change was much easier to manage.
Damon simply adjusted the flow.
Snow received what she could handle.
Shiro received the rest.
Neither one was left lacking.
Caelia seem to have noticed what he was doing and immediately understood.
"You really planned this out."
Damon glanced at her.
"I wouldn’t want one of them getting all the benefits."
She smiled.
"Fair."
She then began helping him replace the resources.
The amount they were using was surprisingly high.
Every time Damon finished purifying one batch, another resource was already needed.
Caelia kept the supply coming while Damon focused on controlling the process.
"You’re burning through these pretty quickly," she said.
Damon didn’t look away.
"That’s why we collected so many."
Caelia laughed.
"Of course."
The experiment continued for a long while.
Eventually, Snow’s body started showing the signs.
Her movements slowed.
The frost covering her fur became thicker.
She leaned against Damon for a moment before giving a soft whine.
Damon immediately stopped.
"That’s enough."
Snow didn’t move.
She stayed close for another few seconds as if she didn’t want to leave.
Caelia smiled.
"She doesn’t want to stop."
"I know."
Damon gently rubbed her head.
"But she can’t absorb anymore."
Snow finally moved away.
She still looked reluctant, but her body clearly needed time to settle.
Shiro lasted a little longer.
Being connected directly to the Spirit Origin had made him more accustomed to the process.
But even he eventually reached his limit.
Damon felt the change through their connection.
"You’re full too."
Damon laughed.
"Don’t look at me like that."
The Frost Qilin gave a quiet sound.
"You’ll get more when your body can handle it."
And that seemed to satisfy him.
