I Can Evolve Spirit Elementals
Chapter 114: Fight Continues
Chapter 114: Chapter 114: Fight Continues
The scouts were no longer amused.
They were terrified.
Another Spirit Elemental had joined the battle, and it had appeared from nowhere.
An Ice Qilin.
A mythic beast.
A support Spirit Elemental that could control the battlefield and protect the others.
One scout stared blankly.
"Where did that thing come from?"
Nobody answered.
Another scout slowly shook his head.
"He already had two."
The first scout swallowed.
"Three."
"Three?"
"He now has three Spirit Elementals."
Silence.
The scout looked toward Damon.
The young man stood in the middle of the battlefield.
A nine tailed lightning fox fought beside him.
A Wind Spirit had become the weapon in his hand.
And now an Ice Qilin was controlling the battlefield around them.
The scout’s expression became pale.
"Who exactly is he?"
No one knew.
And that was the problem.
Every time they thought they had finally understood Damon, he revealed something else.
The enemy had prepared a massive beast tide.
They had separated Caelia.
They had increased the resonance formations again and again.
They had even redirected beasts from the mansion.
Yet Damon was still standing.
And now...
He had gained another Spirit Elemental in the middle of the battle.
The leader received the latest report.
He remained silent for several seconds.
Then he asked one question.
"How many more surprises does he have?"
The scout couldn’t answer.
Because, at this point, they were starting to wonder the same thing.
Meanwhile, Damon looked at the tide ahead.
He tightened his grip on Sylphie’s bow.
Shiro stood beside him.
Freya’s lightning crackled.
Damon smiled.
"Alright."
He took a breath.
"Let’s keep going."
The fight continued.
And somehow, it was getting easier.
That was the strange part.
The beast tide was still enormous, and more beasts were constantly pouring out of Frostveil Expanse, but Damon no longer felt the pressure he had expected.
Shiro had changed everything.
"Barrier."
The Frost Qilin moved beside Damon, and a wall of ice rose from the ground.
A group of beasts crashed into it.
Boom!
The barrier shook but held.
"Now, Freya."
Silver lightning flashed.
Freya tore through the weakened beasts, her lightning spreading across the frozen ground and striking several more behind them.
Sylphie followed immediately.
The bow in Damon’s hand pulled back.
Wind gathered around the string.
"Let’s make this easier."
He released.
Whoosh!
The arrow became a massive spiral of wind that dragged beasts into its path before slamming them into one another.
Damon smiled.
"That’s better."
The three spirits had started to understand each other.
Freya didn’t need to waste energy protecting herself from every attack because Shiro could slow the beasts around her.
Sylphie could fire from a distance without worrying about being surrounded because Shiro could create barriers behind her.
And Damon could move between all three, switching weapons and abilities depending on what the battlefield needed.
Shiro wasn’t killing the strongest beasts.
He didn’t need to.
His job was to make everyone else stronger.
And he was doing it perfectly.
"Shiro, left."
The Qilin immediately turned.
Ice spread across the ground.
Several C rank beasts had already reached the flank, but their movements slowed as frost climbed over their legs.
Freya appeared among them.
"Got them."
Lightning exploded.
Damon didn’t even look back.
He already knew Freya would handle it.
That trust made their movements even smoother.
But the beast tide wasn’t giving them a break.
The longer the battle continued, the stronger the beasts that appeared became.
A B rank beast suddenly charged through the crowd.
Its massive body crushed several frozen beasts beneath its feet as it rushed toward Damon.
Damon switched the bow into Freya’s spear.
"Finally."
He stepped forward.
The beast swung its claws.
Damon ducked beneath them and thrust the spear upward.
Boom!
Silver lightning exploded against its chest.
The beast staggered.
Damon twisted the spear and kicked off the ground, using the momentum to launch himself above its head.
"Freya."
The spear transformed. The nine tailed fox appeared beside him.
She grinned.
"Together?"
"Obviously."
Silver lightning erupted.
Wind followed.
The combined attack struck the beast from two directions.
Boom!
The B rank beast was thrown backward.
Before it could recover, ice wrapped around its legs.
Shiro had already prepared the opening.
Damon landed.
Sylphie’s bow appeared in his hand.
He drew the string.
"Good work, Shiro."
The Qilin’s eyes lit up.
"Now!"
The arrow flew.
The beast was swallowed by the storm.
When the wind finally disappeared, it collapsed.
Damon looked toward Shiro.
"See? You don’t have to kill everything."
Shiro happily nodded.
Damon laughed.
"Yeah."
The battle continued.
One tide became another.
Then another.
But instead of being buried beneath the numbers, Damon and his spirits were slowly pushing them back.
They had found a rhythm.
Shiro slowed.
Sylphie controlled.
Freya destroyed.
And Damon connected everything together.
He changed tactics constantly.
Sometimes he fought with Freya’s spear.
Sometimes Sylphie’s bow.
Sometimes he used his own newly acquired Ice element to freeze a charging beast before finishing it with lightning.
When the battlefield became too crowded, Shiro spread Frostbound Sanctuary across the area and gave them space.
When the beasts became too spread out, Sylphie pulled them together with Wind Sovereign’s Gale.
And when too many gathered in one place, Freya erased them.
The longer they fought, the better they became.
Even the spirits were changing.
Freya’s lightning became sharper.
Sylphie’s wind became more precise.
And Shiro was learning faster than Damon expected.
The young Qilin could now predict where a barrier was needed before Damon even gave the command.
Damon noticed.
He smiled.
"You’re learning quickly."
Shiro puffed out his chest proudly.
Damon chuckled.
"Don’t get too proud. I still have plenty of work for you."
The battle continued.
But the tide was no longer advancing. It was slowly being pushed backward.
Inside the Winterbourne mansion, Caelia finally opened her eyes.
"Damon!"
She immediately sat up.
"Where’s Damon?"
Her voice echoed through the room.
Then she stopped.
Several familiar faces were staring at her.
Her father.
The elders.
The young geniuses.
All of them looked worried.
