I Can Enlighten Everything
Chapter 94: 1 Catgirl
Chapter 94: Chapter 94: 1 Catgirl
Looking up at the empty sky and then at Xiaojie, who was still radiating heat in front of him, Shen Yun felt a surge of emotion. Such a Light Cannon bombardment—something usually only seen in movies and television—had happened right before his eyes. Just feeling that astonishing destructive power was enough to make his blood boil. Sure enough, giant ships and massive cannons were a man’s true romance.
"Come to think of it, Xiaojie," Shen Yun said, suddenly looking at him. He hesitated for a moment but still asked, "Are you a bit of a chuuni?"
"Chuuni? My Lord, I don’t understand," Xiaojie replied, looking completely bewildered.
"You know, that line you just shouted. Something about ’dying under this great power’... stuff like that." Shen Yun felt a bit embarrassed just saying it out loud. Xiaojie seemed to have said similar things several times before. "Could this be some hidden attribute exclusive to tanks?" he wondered. Xiaojie’s appearance did indeed give off that hot-blooded, passionate vibe.
"My Lord, those are my truest thoughts!" Xiaojie’s tone carried a hint of suppressed excitement. "You might not understand, Master, but Sister Xiaojiu definitely does. When your power enters my body, it feels as if I’m touching truth itself!"
"Mhm, it’s like my soul feels so good it’s going to fly away!" Xiaojiu agreed earnestly in Shen Yun’s mind.
"Xiaojiu..." Shen Yun was left a little speechless. "Have you been getting dirtier and dirtier with your words lately...?"
"Aww..." Xiaojiu let out a wronged sound. But that feeling really was incredibly pleasurable, especially for her. She was completely obsessed with just her Master’s scent, let alone an enhancement that seemed to pierce straight into her soul.
"Alright, I get it." Shen Yun decided not to dwell on the matter. He took out the Tripod Cauldron once more. "Let’s go. We have to cross almost the entire continent next, which will take several hours of flying."
"Wait, Master," Xiaojiu suddenly called out, stopping Shen Yun. "It seems there’s a surprise down below."
"A surprise..." Shen Yun glanced at the city below. As he and Xiaojie slowly descended, the survivors scattered and fled in all directions. Clearly, after even a Paladin had brought such devastation, it would be a long time before they trusted any powerful individuals again. It was just like an ordinary person staring down the barrel of a stranger’s gun. However, Shen Yun didn’t have time to comfort them right now. Guided by Xiaojiu, he headed straight into the deepest part of the Royal Palace.
Deep inside the underground dungeon, there was a dying beastman. Her fur was dyed red with blood, making it obvious she had endured inhuman torture. Still, it was clear she was female and quite tall. As for her exact species... it was truly hard to tell if she was a cat or a leopard. For now, he just considered her a feline beastgirl.
The reason Xiaojiu called her a "surprise" was that this feline beastgirl was an expert in the Saint Realm. A Saint Realm expert could be considered a high-ranking figure among the northern demi-humans. Yet, she had ended up captured here, and surprisingly, hadn’t been killed outright. This was highly intriguing.
"I’ll put her in the Tripod Cauldron first, then we’ll head back to Violet." Shen Yun made the decision after only a moment of thought.
So far, it had been difficult to gather much Information about the northern demi-humans. They operated under a racial Alliance system, and some races were highly xenophobic. Even travelers who left and returned had to be branded in a visible spot to mark them as outsiders for life. Now that he had finally stumbled upon a Saint Realm expert who had inexplicably appeared here, he decided to heal her first and see if he could extract some Information.
Thus, Shen Yun returned to Violet once more. Upon arriving, he heard that Vierlia had been handling paperwork in the Royal Palace’s underground facility ever since he left. This queen... her cautious and intelligent nature truly put one’s mind at ease.
The Bronze Hall had already been moved beneath the Royal Palace. If any problems arose, she could immediately hide inside and teleport away in the shortest possible time.
"Vierlia, please heal this beastman." Without alerting too many people, Shen Yun went straight to Vierlia. She was exceptionally skilled in healing Magic as well.
"This is... Leave it to me." Vierlia didn’t ask any questions and immediately began the treatment. Spiritual Power was converted into a gentle force through a Magic Array. Supplemented with medicine, she slowly repaired the beastman’s body bit by bit.
Just half an hour later, the feline beastgirl opened her eyes. In an instant, she sprang up like a startled cat, her fur bristling as she crouched on the ground in an attack stance. But when her brown, slit-pupiled eyes landed on Vierlia and Shen Yun, her expression shifted to obvious astonishment.
"The Queen... of Violet, meow?" Her voice was slightly hoarse and faint, with the ending syllable carrying a hint of cuteness.
"You recognize me?" Vierlia was taken aback.
"I’ve seen your portrait, meow." The feline beastgirl then looked at Shen Yun, suddenly taking a few excited steps forward. "And could you be His Royal Highness the Prince, meow?"
"You still shouldn’t move around recklessly," Vierlia said, raising her hand to cast another healing spell. "When my Prince brought you back, your injuries were extremely severe."
Even now, the feline beastgirl’s body was still covered in wounds; the previous treatment had merely stabilized her condition to prevent further deterioration.
"But, Your Highness, I came looking for you!" As if unable to feel any pain, the feline beastgirl prostrated herself completely before Shen Yun. "Please, you have to save us, meow!"
Shen Yun and Vierlia exchanged a glance before he spoke in a calm, deep voice. "Speak slowly, there’s no rush. What is your name?"
"My name is Alicia Fenice, Chief of the Green Forest Cat Race, meow." Alicia gritted her teeth, seemingly a bit hesitant, but still spoke slowly, "This is currently the biggest secret among our demi-human races... Our Great Saint... has gone missing, meow!"
Gone missing? Both Shen Yun and Vierlia were taken by surprise.
"And not just our demi-human Great Saint... but also the two Great Saints from the Mage Association..." The feline beastgirl dropped another bombshell. "They all disappeared, exactly one month ago, meow!"
"No wonder..." Vierlia murmured. Over the past half-month, she had sent several messages to the Mage Association and even the demi-human Alliance, hoping to cooperate with them to jointly resist the Demon King and the Holy Hall. However, she had never received a single reply. If even their Great Saints were nowhere to be found, it indeed made it difficult for them to respond.
But for three Great Saints to suddenly vanish like this... She exchanged another glance with Shen Yun, and they could both read each other’s minds. "Another Bronze Hall," they thought. While other scenarios couldn’t be ruled out, this was the most likely possibility.
"And then? What is the danger?" Shen Yun continued asking. If she had specifically come all this way to beg for help, it meant they were facing a massive crisis.
"The Ibi Empire!" Hatred flashed in Alicia’s eyes, but she quickly shrank her neck back, revealing a deep sense of fear. "Or rather... the Demon King, meow!"
"You mean the Demon King from eight hundred years ago?" At this, even Shen Yun was startled. He had originally doubted whether the Demon King had truly been resurrected.
