Chapter 519: Leviathan Of Eclipse III

Kain jumped down from the stairs.

[Lightbreak Step.]

His body accelerated along a golden line.

A clear image remained at his previous position for a moment, and he appeared thirty meters below.

Two strands of light came out from both of his hands.

[Dawn Chains.]

The chains wrapped around the same wounded limb of the Leviathan.

They were not supposed to stop a sixty-meter monster, but when the creature tried to pull its limb up, its movement was slightly changed for one second.

That was enough, and Lian moved.

[Ashen Thunder Step.]

Thunder ran across the broken stairs, and the twelve white eyes on the monster’s head turned almost at the same time.

Six of them turned toward Lian, three toward Kain, and the rest toward the native forces, trying to watch all of its prey at the same time.

Predator’s Instincts warned him again at the same moment, and a strand of corrupted light shot out from one of the holes.

The young Vorhelm turned his body into ash, and the beam passed through the empty space, but the second hole had followed his exit point.

He was forced to change the angle of his return, and the second beam passed beside his face.

His vision turned white for a moment, and he could even feel the heat through the armor.

"So all of them are independent."

The Twelve Corrupted Eyes were not just decorations, each one was following a different target.

Speed alone was not enough to stay away from them, he had to find a way to remain hidden from them, and the best way was to hide.

Lian activated Abyss Veil, and his presence sank into a layer of darkness.

At that moment, all six eyes of the monster that were focused on him lost track of him, however, the Leviathan did not stop chasing him and a beam came out of each of its eyes and went in different directions.

Lian used the broken wall of a building and turned behind it.

But a beam pierced through the wall, however, it did not hit him and passed beside him, and that one second was enough to give him a chance to reach the monster’s body.

The young Vorhelm landed at high speed on the creature’s side, the black plates on its body were each larger than himself.

Ice formed on his right arm, and the huge claw went into the gap between two plates.

The armor plate lifted, but white-black liquid immediately flowed into the gap under it and caused the plate to be pulled back down.

It had been able to heal itself in that moment.

"Faster than I thought." he whispered in surprise, without a doubt it had one of the best self-healing abilities he knew, although it was still much weaker than the Unborn Saint.

The Leviathan moved its body, and the surface under Lian’s feet rose like an earthquake.

He activated Mountain Anchor on that same plate for a moment, and the armored boots locked onto the surface.

If he had not done this, the creature’s body movement alone would have thrown him hundreds of meters into the city.

Kain created a glowing mark on the opened part from below.

This skill helped him mark any point he wanted with the effect of light, this way, it did not matter at what angle or distance he was from that target, he could even attack it blindly and still hit exactly that point.

The golden circle landed on the same gap.

"Keep that open!"

The second Dawn Spear hit the mark, this time the light was more precise and concentrated, and the plate cracked.

But the corrupted liquid moved toward it again, and self-healing took place.

Lian activated True Sequence, he had to find this thing’s weakness, otherwise their attacks were only wasting time.

And finally, he saw something, the source of this self-healing, but there was a problem, there was not one source, it had six different sources!

Six dense white-black masses were located in different parts of the Leviathan’s body.

One was near the left shoulder, two were along the sides, one was near the spine, one was lower down in the abdomen, and the last one was directly in front of the monster’s cores.

They were sending energy to the damaged parts of the monster’s body and healing them.

It was like a complete healing mechanism, and there was another problem, it did not seem to have any damn weakness.

"Don’t attack its natural body armor!" Lian jumped down from the creature’s body.

"You’re saying that now?" Kain paused in the middle of his next shot.

"It has a very powerful self-healing mechanism, simple attacks won’t make any difference."

The Leviathan opened its mouth again.

"Spread out!" the Third Region priest shouted.

Corrupted light gathered.

This time Kain moved forward, and a Prismatic Aegis formed in front of him, but it was not a flat shield, instead, it had several angled layers.

A white-black flood was fired.

He tilted the shield, and the impact pushed his entire body backward.

KRRRRRRRK!

Part of the beam was redirected and hit the empty wall of a tower, but not all of it, and the first layer of the shield turned black, then the second.

Kain clenched his teeth.

Lian passed beside him.

A shockwave was released from his body.

The corrupted beam was pushed away from its direct path for a fraction of a second, this small amount of change saved the lives of more than ten people, but those standing on the other side of the battlefield did not have the same chance.

The light fell on a group of Sixth Region forces and four of them disappeared at that moment, while three others fell to the ground with burned bodies.

Their commander shouted, but his voice was lost under the roar of the Leviathan, their forces were quickly decreasing and if this battle continued, no one except perhaps Lian, Kain, and the two Colony members would survive.

It was time to bring them out.

Lian opened the link and two presences answered.

The huge body of the ant formed between the particles of light, and its six legs landed on the cracked street.

Then the second presence, the space beside him shook and a fifteen-meter wolf with eight eyes and a huge bone crown appeared.

Even in the middle of the chaos, several Sixth Region soldiers instinctively stepped backward, the Third Region soldiers had already seen both monsters before, so they were more prepared.

"I still get angry at its name every time I see it." Kain gave Two a short look.

"Then look at it less." the young Vorhelm jumped down from the roof.

"The problem is that it’s fifteen meters tall! Even if I want to, I can’t not see it!"

Two growled.

The Leviathan turned its head toward it, and for a moment, the two huge monsters looked at each other.

A Level 40 Fallen monster, facing a Level 50 Fallen that had swallowed corrupted light for years.

Two showed no fear, and all eight of its eyes turned red at the same time.

The red color in its pupils became deeper, and its body lowered, then it shot toward the Leviathan with a speed that did not match its size.

Lian had already chosen the first target, the reservoir near the left shoulder.

Two understood the target, and its claws sank into the street.

[Bone Mountain.]

The ground under one of the Leviathan’s limbs split open, and thick bone pillars came out from the stone pavement.

Five.

Ten.

They wrapped around the monster’s joint and pinned its limb to the ground.

The monster immediately struggled, and the bones cracked, but they had not broken yet.

"Now!" Lian shouted at the same moment.

Kain raised his hand.

A concentrated beam landed on the Sun Mark he had placed earlier.

The armor was pierced, and at the same moment, the young Vorhelm passed beside it and drove the Glacial Reaper Claw into the hole.

Ice spread from inside the gap, and then he pulled his hand out, tearing away the armor plate along with several other pieces.

For the first time, the white-black mass under the armor was visible, this was the same reservoir and the source of the monster’s self-healing power.

The Leviathan roared, and energy from the other reservoirs immediately moved toward it to repair it.

Lian also used the Eclipse Core, and a small amount of black energy gathered in his palm.

[Suppressing Palm.]

His palm landed on the reservoir, there was almost no sound, only, THUMP!

Through that strike, a black trace of Eclipse energy entered the structure, the corrupted light around the point of contact shook....then went out.

The Eclipse energy ate through the energy paths inside the reservoir.

BOOOOOOM!

It did not take long for the mass to explode from the inside, and white-black liquid splashed around like blood, then several nearby plates collapsed.

They had finally managed to destroy one of the six reservoirs.

The Leviathan broke Bone Mountain at the same moment.

Two jumped backward.

A large part of the bones shattered, but the first target had been destroyed.

The Sixth Region saw the opportunity, and their commander raised his hand with blood covering his face.

"Right side!"

Their five remaining warriors attacked, three heavy spears made from darkness hit the Leviathan’s side.

Two explosions happened behind them, and the armor cracked, and luckily, they had managed to hit the exact location of the second reservoir.

"Hit three meters lower!!" Lian saw the second reservoir.

The man had no idea who he was, but in this battle, they had to rely on each other to survive, so he ordered them to change direction.

All the attacks landed on one point, exactly where Lian had said.

The armor opened and the second reservoir was revealed.

But the Leviathan had learned too, it was not a stupid monster, on the contrary, as a monster that had gone through two evolutions, it had considerable intelligence.

The twelve holes on its head turned, and four of them locked onto that group.

"Fall back!" the young Vorhelm sensed the warning.

But it was too late....

Four thin beams of corrupted light were fired at the same time, one of the warriors was cut in half at the waist, and the second was burned before the beam could fully hit him.

The other two took cover behind a rock, but the beam pierced through the rock.

The commander was the only one who threw himself behind a metal shield and was dragged several meters across the ground.

Almost no one remained from that group, the price of attacking the second reservoir was the lives of almost all of them.

But the gap had been opened, and Lian did not waste the chance, at the very least, he could not let their sacrifice become meaningless.

He appeared on the side of the Leviathan and used the Eclipse Core energy again without wasting time, but not to completely destroy the reservoir, instead, to cut the healing path coming from the other reservoirs toward the second reservoir.

After making sure the healing paths were cut, he focused directly on the second reservoir itself.

The white-black mass came out of the monster’s body, and Two closed its jaws, crushing the reservoir.

The second reservoir was destroyed as well.

If they continued at this speed, it would not take long before they could destroy all four remaining reservoirs and finally target the monster’s vital points.
