Chapter 667: Chapter 516: The Blade’s Name is Invincible, and I am Invincible

…

Eastern District Battlefield.

Beast Race Camp.

Black banners fluttered in the cold wind, making a WHOOSHING sound.

Below the banners, a corpse with faintly pale skin hung from a stone pillar.

Beneath the corpse, a broken sword was plunged into the ground.

“Hahaha…” A wild, arrogant voice echoed from within the camp’s main tent.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this good! Nineteen years of frustration… and now the days of boiling blood are finally here again! It’s exhilarating!”

“You think those human trash will actually show up?”

“We’ve received word from the Southern and Western Districts. They’re definitely on their way. Brother Jian, you… should probably make some preparations!”

The voices stopped there.

Inside the tent, only the sound of wine simmering remained.

WHOOSH!

Just then, a figure descended from the sky. It was a streak of light, a white light. The moment it landed, the flap of the tent was thrown open.

Three gazes immediately shot out from within.

But the white light seemed to ignore it all.

“Jian, are you still sleeping?” a placid voice asked from within the white light.

“Hahaha, Brother Jian has been sleeping for four hours now. His composure is truly impressive. No matter what we discuss or how loud we get, he doesn’t stir at all,” a laugh rang out.

“Jian!” the white light spoke again.

“What is it?” Inside the tent, a pair of slumbering eyes finally opened.

There was not much light in those eyes. They seemed more turbid than anything, devoid of spirit, containing only an endless, murky current.

However, no one would dare to underestimate the owner of those eyes.

Because he was the Beast Race’s Strongest Sword!

“News from the West District. There’s been some unusual movement in the North District. Apparently, several Strongest were even deployed to besiege the Vampire Race’s Royal City. However, ‘Feifei’ has yet to send any word on the matter. I suspect… something might be wrong in the North District.” As it spoke, the white light wavered.

Then, a middle-aged man with long golden hair stepped out of the white light.

He had a towering figure.

He stood a full two and a half meters tall.

But his physique was quite perfect.

Coupled with the gold-threaded white robe he wore, he looked incredibly proud.

Of course, the most distinctive feature of the middle-aged man was, without a doubt, the six pure white wings on his back.

A Six-winged Great Angel!

Even in the myths of antiquity, they held an extremely high status.

“The Northern District is attacking the Vampire Race? Did that wolf go?” Another figure now stood up in the tent. He had green skin.

Compared to the Six-winged Great Angel, he was a bit shorter.

Only about one-point-seven meters tall.

For a Beastman, that was definitely small and scrawny.

But this very same scrawny body contained boundless power.

He made just a slight movement.

And the once-cold wind seemed to answer a summons, coming to a complete standstill.

“Of course he went. In fact, I heard that wolf was the one leading the charge.” The Six-winged Great Angel nodded and stepped into the tent.

“Then there’s no problem. That wolf and that bat are old enemies. Let them fight… This war must be ended by us, in the end.” The Beast Race Sword Saint walked to the entrance of the tent.

Light shone in from outside.

It landed right on him.

One could see that he was wearing a pair of exquisite bestial trousers, and on his back were three small flags of different colors.

“You’re the same as always, underestimating the enemy far too much.” The Six-winged Great Angel shook his head, his gaze sweeping casually over the other three figures in the tent.

While he was speaking with the Beast Race Sword Saint,

the three figures had remained utterly silent, not even interjecting a single word, until they saw the Six-winged Great Angel’s gaze fall upon them.

In an instant, the three figures yielded the main seat in the tent.

The Six-winged Great Angel nodded and sat down.

“It’s not that I underestimate them, it’s that the enemy is too weak!” The Beast Race Sword Saint shook his head. “Take the one outside, for example. He was hailed as the Human Race’s number one sword and had just barely stepped into the realm of the Strongest… And the result? He couldn’t even take three of my strikes. He fell after the second. How boring is that?”

“Take three of your strikes? Heh…” The Six-winged Great Angel chuckled but said no more.

“With a single strike, I can sunder mountains and rivers. As long as they can’t block my sword, why should I take them seriously? If you weren’t so overly cautious, I would have already killed that Li… what’s-his-name-Nan with one strike!” The Beast Race Sword Saint pointed a finger.

A flash of sword light cut through the air.

SHLICK!

On the stone pillar,

another gash appeared on the Sword Elder’s corpse.

“Hahaha, Brother Jian’s hobbies are as unique as ever. With you here, Brother Jian, the Human Race will soon be bowing their heads in servitude!” The three figures glanced at each other and immediately burst into laughter.

“The Human Race is weak to the bone. To deal with them, you just need to kill! Kill until they’re scared, and they won’t dare to resist anymore!” the Beast Race Sword Saint murmured.

“Brother Jian is right!”

“If they dare to try a rescue, not a single one of them will make it back. Those idiots in the Western and Southern Districts think we’re feinting just like them? I’ll show them what real strategy is. I’ll use them as the feint, to tie down the humans’ Strongest, while I launch an all-out assault on the Eastern District. In three days, at most, the Human Race’s Eastern District Fortress will fall completely into our hands!”

“Jian, what do you plan to do after taking the Eastern District Fortress?” After settling in, the Six-winged Great Angel took out a tea set.

He casually set it up.

And began to brew some tea.

“First, I’ll kill for three days and three nights. I have to kill some of them. If I don’t, they won’t feel fear… Once I’ve killed enough, I’ll drag the rest of the Human Race to the mines. The batch we caught a few years ago is almost all dead by now. This will be a good chance to replenish them.”

“Hahaha, why do I get the feeling you’re raising pets?”

“And you’re not?” the Beast Race Sword Saint glanced back at the Six-winged Great Angel.

“Likewise, likewise. Didn’t they name their capital the City of Hope? We have to give them some hope… Otherwise, I alone could fight my way into and out of that pathetic city of theirs three times over!” The Six-winged Great Angel chuckled, pouring two cups of tea.

The Beast Race Sword Elder walked over.

He picked up one of the cups.

And drank it in one gulp.

“As if I couldn’t do the same! You just rely on having a lot of wings, don’t you? Once the Eastern District’s city falls, I’ll fight my way in and out three times just to show you!” The Beast Race Sword Saint seemed extremely annoyed.

“Report!”

“Report!”

“An envoy requests an audience!”

Just then, a messenger ran over at top speed.

Outside the tent, eight Beast Race Warriors immediately blocked the messenger five meters from the entrance, drawing their sharp weapons.

“The Human Race has sent an envoy to request an audience!”

“An envoy?” The eight Beast Race Warriors were slightly taken aback.

“Yes, and they even wrote a letter.” The messenger produced a letter.

One of the Beast Race Warriors immediately took the letter and quickly presented it outside the tent.

“Open it,” the Beast Race Sword Saint waved his hand.

“Yes, sir!”

The letter was unfolded.

The Beast Race Warrior glanced at it, then read it aloud.

“I come from a high place.

Just passed by this mountain.

The pear blossoms are fragrant.

The scent of grain and fodder wafts over.”

…

After finishing, the Beast Race Warrior looked up.

“What does it mean? It sounds like a human poem… but it’s more like a travelogue. It doesn’t seem like a letter of surrender,” one of the figures in the tent said, shaking his head in confusion.

“Yeah, and it sounds strange…”

“It feels like it’s hinting at something.”

The other two figures also frowned.

The Six-winged Great Angel, however, suddenly looked up. A smirk played on his lips. “It’s not a poem. It’s a crude word puzzle. He’s chosen those lines because the first word of each, when spoken in the human tongue, sounds out a grave insult.”

He chuckled. “Jian, he’s cursing you!”

“Gan Liniang? Where is this Human Race envoy?” The Beast Race Sword Saint was not, of course, a hot-tempered person. He was one of the Strongest, and he had the composure of one.

After all, this kind of provocation was all too common!

“Right at the front line between the two armies,” the messenger immediately shouted.

“How many people?” the Beast Race Sword Saint asked again.

“One.”

“Kill him.”

“Yes, sir!”

The messenger immediately withdrew.

“Heh, Jian… you’re still the same. Isn’t this a breach of etiquette? In a confrontation between two armies, one does not kill the messenger,” the Six-winged Great Angel chuckled, pouring another cup of tea.

“I only set the rules, I don’t follow them!” The Beast Race Sword Saint’s eyes narrowed.

“Alright, as you wish.”

…

…

Between the Eastern District Fortress and the Alien Race Alliance Army, there was a region ten *li* across.

This area was called: The Front Line.

Gao Neng was now standing in this region, close to the Beast Race Camp. His face was covered, and a long black blade was strapped to his back.

‘It’s been months, yet I keep forgetting to give you a name.’ Gao Neng drew the long black blade and gently stroked it in his hand.

“The weather is nice today!”

“The wind is strong.”

“And night is already falling.”

“A perfect time for a naming.”

“From now on, your name is: Invincible!”

“I have a blade named Invincible!”

“Therefore, I am invincible!”

As Gao Neng was stroking his blade, three enormous Barbaric Beasts had already charged out from the Beast Race Camp ahead. A tall Beastman sat atop each one.

Gao Neng had seen this type of Barbaric Beast before on the Northern District Battlefield.

Their hides were tough and their flesh was thick.

They could take a real beating!

“The Ancestor has given the order!”

“Kill this human envoy!”

“Kill!”

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE!

The three Barbaric Beasts, each five to six meters tall, charged toward Gao Neng.

Gao Neng smiled.

He slowly sheathed his blade.

A blade named Invincible,

was naturally not meant for “slaughtering chickens.”

ROAR!

A dragon’s cry resounded.

Gao Neng charged forward to meet one of the Barbaric Beasts.

He threw a punch.

It struck the Barbaric Beast’s head squarely.

BOOM!

The five-to-six-meter-tall Barbaric Beast let out a pained cry, then shot backward like a cannonball, smashing directly into the gate of the Beast Race Camp three hundred meters away.

CRASH!

The gate collapsed.
