I Begged His Brother to Get Me Pregnant
Chapter 205: Will Never Appear Again
Chapter 205: Chapter 205: Will Never Appear Again
If she could, she would have gotten on her knees and begged Evelyn Grant!
’Just make this whole farce end.’
Now, Mr. Jacobs was out causing trouble again, and there was no telling how ugly it would get. Florence Morgan was desperate to prevent the situation from escalating and damaging the Sterling Family’s reputation.
After all, they were prominent figures in the business world.
But...
"Julian, stop hitting yourself! Your mother doesn’t want to push you this far!" She lowered her head and sighed. "It’s just... if I want to get Ryan to leave the country now, faking an illness is truly the only way... But if it’s exposed, I’ll never be able to face Ryan again. Do you understand?"
"I know, I know everything! Mom, I understand how difficult this is for you, I truly do! Like I said, if I had any other option, I swear I wouldn’t have come here to put you in this position..."
In all these years, it was the first time Florence Morgan had ever seen her eldest son so humbled.
He had always been proud.
Ever since he was a child, Julian Sterling had always been the sensible and obedient one.
He got good grades and helped take care of his younger brother. In his parents’ eyes, there was no better child! They never had to worry about him; in fact, he would even help out with other family matters.
To put it this way...
If Jane Jacobs hadn’t been so obviously after their money back then—one look was all it took for Florence to see she was bad news and couldn’t be allowed to marry into the family—she might have actually discussed it with her husband and just let her son have his way.
With all these new problems cropping up, Florence Morgan was truly caught in a dilemma.
"Y-You... just give me some more time to think about it! Julian, the urgent matter for you to resolve right now is Jane Jacobs’s father! If he keeps making a scene like this and the media reports on it for a few more days, the company’s stock will take a hit! Don’t you know what those reporters are like? They turn molehills into mountains. Once they get their hands on Jane Jacobs’s father... the Sterling Family’s reputation will be completely destroyed!"
You couldn’t blame Florence Morgan for constantly bringing up their reputation at a time like this.
A company’s survival in the business world depends on its reputation!
Julian Sterling nodded and let his mother help him to his feet. "Don’t worry. As long as you can get Ryan out of the country and stop him from meddling in my affairs with Evelyn Grant, I’ll handle Mr. Jacobs!"
"Alright. I’ll go think it over and let you know," Florence Morgan said, pointing to the reporters on the first floor. "And remember, deal with this quickly! There can be no delays."
"I’ll make the call right now."
After seeing his mother out, Julian Sterling immediately called his secretary in.
"The troublemaker from today—is there a way to get him sent to prison? Let him rot in there for a few years."
The secretary was taken aback. "Mr. Sterling, what he’s doing... at most, it’s disorderly conduct. I’m afraid..."
"I want results, not a lecture on how difficult it is!" Julian Sterling tapped his fingers on the desk, making a dull sound. "If his crime isn’t serious enough, then make it more serious! It would be even better if he disappeared for good."
"Understood. I’ll figure something out."
Julian Sterling waved his hand. "Go. And one more thing, get rid of all those reporters waiting in the lobby! Warn them—if I find out anyone has dared to write any nonsense, I’ll personally wage war on their entire media company!"
’His mother had finally, reluctantly, agreed. He absolutely would not allow anyone to ruin this for him! Even if it meant having Mr. Jacobs permanently dealt with, it wasn’t out of the question.’
