I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain
Chapter 513
Right as Shao Wanwan opened her mouth to speak, she felt a sharp pain at the base of her neck. Her vision blurred instantly, faces and surroundings turning into smudged colors, and her mind sank into darkness as her body collapsed like a puppet with its strings cut.
Luo Qingqian reached out to catch her, holding her steady with ease. She looked over at Bian Suwen with mild surprise and said, “So this girl’s the Saintess of the Poison Sect? Looks like you brought me here to deal with her. So what now?”
“Second Sister, I’ll handle it from here. You don’t need to get involved,” Bian Suwen stepped forward, casually taking the unconscious Shao Wanwan from Luo Qingqian’s arms like she weighed nothing.
“What exactly are you planning to do with her?” Luo Qingqian raised an eyebrow, more curious than concerned.
“I’ve got my reasons, and I’ll explain later when there’s time. For now, just trust me,” Bian Suwen replied while cradling Shao Wanwan in her arms.
Despite not being a martial arts expert, she still had strength far beyond the average person, and carrying another woman posed no difficulty for her.
“Alright, just be careful,” Luo Qingqian gave her a nod.
She didn’t press further—Bian Suwen always had her secrets.
“I will,” Bian Suwen answered simply, then swiftly carried Shao Wanwan away from the dark alley.
In the cover of moonlight, she hurried to a nearby Porsche parked discreetly at the curb and stuffed the unconscious girl into the back seat without a second thought.——
Elsewhere, inside a villa, Wang Haoran and the others had just finished dinner. The atmosphere was relaxed, and they were lounging around in the living room.
“Hey, Aoxue,” Feng Anna suddenly broke the silence, glancing toward Ning Aoxue. “You’ve been staying in Qingling for a while now. Don’t you need to go back to the Ning family in Shanghai?”
Ning Aoxue had originally used the excuse of providing protection to remain at the villa, but now that Yan Yuntian was dead and Wang Haoran was safe, her continued presence felt a little… unusual.
“My father has everything under control back home. Me being there or not doesn’t really change anything,” Ning Aoxue replied calmly. “And after living here for a while, I’ve grown used to it. This place is great for cultivating. I don’t have any plans to return for now.”
During her stay at the villa, she kept mostly to herself, rarely stepping outside. Most of her time was spent cultivating, and her strength was steadily improving.
“So… how long are you planning to freeload here?” Feng Xuansu’s tone was light, but the jab was obvious.
“And how long are you planning to freeload?” Ning Aoxue shot back without missing a beat.
“I’m not freeloading. I’m the lady of the—” Feng Xuansu almost blurted out “lady of the house,” but quickly swallowed the words. She hadn’t officially reunited with her husband yet, so technically, the title didn’t count. “Forget it, I’m not wasting my breath arguing with you.”
These two bickering was a daily occurrence. Wang Haoran didn’t even blink at it anymore. He ignored them completely and focused on his phone.
A message popped up.
“Are you free now?” It was from Bian Suwen.
“What’s up?” Wang Haoran didn’t answer right away and chose to ask first.
“I’m sick. Not feeling well.” Her reply came quickly.
Wang Haoran raised a brow. “Aren’t you a doctor? Can’t you prescribe something for yourself?”
“Doctors can’t heal themselves. Haven’t you heard that saying?” she replied smoothly.
“Yeah, I’ve heard it. But I’m no doctor, so I don’t see how I can help.”
“You never know,” she messaged. “Maybe you’re the only one who can cure me.”
Wang Haoran’s eyelid twitched. That last line made everything click.
“I’ll come take a look. Where are you?” he replied, already moving.
She sent over an address almost immediately.
Wang Haoran memorized the location, then ducked into his room and grabbed a few… safety measures, just in case.
“So late and you’re still going out?” Feng Xuansu saw him getting ready and asked with a hint of displeasure.
“Some friends are meeting at a cybercafe to play some games. Might take all night. I’m heading out.” He waved at her with a smile and walked straight out with his car keys in hand.
Feng Xuansu watched him leave with a pout.
Games? At this hour? Can’t he find a more meaningful hobby?
But since she was trying to be a good and understanding woman, she bit back her complaints and said nothing.
Wang Haoran drove off and followed Bian Suwen’s instructions to a high-end hotel. Inside, he made his way to her room and stepped in.
Bian Suwen looked perfectly fine. In fact, she was glowing—definitely not the appearance of someone sick.
Wang Haoran had already guessed it was a setup and didn’t show the slightest surprise. He was ready to get straight to the point.
“Hold on,” Bian Suwen lifted a hand, stopping him mid-step. She walked over to the tea table and poured two glasses of red wine. With a small smile, she walked over and handed one to him. “Let’s enjoy the mood a little, shall we?”
“Sure,” he nodded and took the glass. He brought it to his lips but paused just before drinking.
Why did these women always love spiking drinks? He couldn’t help but silently complain.
His senses picked up the trace ingredients. The wine had a mild sedative and a pretty strong hallucinogen. With how close they were already, why did she even bother with this?
Could she have found out about Mu Nanzhi?
Maybe she was trying to teach him a lesson?
But no… that didn’t make sense. She still thought he was just a regular guy. No reason to use underhanded tricks like this.
Plus, judging from her affection level, there was no way she’d actually hurt him.
“You’re no fun at all. Why aren’t you drinking?” Bian Suwen took a sip from her own glass to show it was safe and pouted adorably.
“How could I not drink?” Wang Haoran grinned and downed the wine in one gulp.
Though he was suspicious, he didn’t worry. His resistance to poison was maxed out. That tiny bit of drug wouldn’t knock him out—not even close. They could dump a whole barrel of the stuff, and he’d still walk away.
Still, to play along, he gave it a few seconds, then touched his head and pretended to sway.
“You okay?” Bian Suwen asked, rushing over to support him, even though she obviously knew what was going on.
“My head feels a little dizzy,” he muttered.
“Must be the wine. I’m feeling a little woozy too,” she said, pretending to stagger just like him.
With her help, Wang Haoran staggered to the bed and collapsed onto it. Within seconds, he was “out cold,” breathing softly and evenly.
Bian Suwen let out a quiet sigh and stopped pretending. She turned toward the interior door of the suite and tapped lightly on it.
The door opened, revealing Mu Nanzhi.
“He’s down,” Bian Suwen whispered and stepped inside.
This hotel room and the one next door were connected—there was a shared door between them.
In the adjacent room, Shao Wanwan lay unconscious on the bed, still completely out.
Mu Nanzhi nodded and pulled out a few small paper packets. “I searched her body and found these. Take a look—see if there’s anything you need.”
As a doctor, Bian Suwen had a sharp eye for identifying medications. After examining them for a bit, she quickly picked out the exact drug Shao Wanwan had to use on Mu Nanzhi.
