I Awakened The Ancient Vampire System
Chapter 248: The Princess of the Moon
Chapter 248: Chapter 248: The Princess of the Moon
CRACK!
The sound of Louisa’s armor fracturing was the only noise that dared to break the silence. She stood frozen, her body trembling uncontrollably as she stared at the purple-haired woman.
She had lived for over three centuries. She had stood in the presence of the Dark King himself, felt his suffocating aura, and survived. But this... this was different.
What... what is this? Louisa thought, her breath hitching. This aura... it’s suffocating. It’s not just above the Astral Realm. It’s above the Sage Realm entirely!
Louisa took a desperate step back, ready to dissolve into blood mist and flee.
"You’re still here?" The woman’s voice was cold, melodic, and utterly devoid of emotion. She didn’t even turn her head fully. With a lazy flick of her wrist, a spear of absolute-zero ice materialized and shot forward.
SHUNK!
"AAAAAARGH!" Louisa screamed as the ice crystal tore straight through her shoulder, pinning her to a massive boulder behind her. The sheer cold froze her veins, halting her vampiric regeneration instantly. The freezing energy invaded her meridians, clashing violently with her death energy.
The woman ignored Louisa’s screams. She raised her hand, and Clara’s broken body floated gently through the air, coming to rest beside her. The silver healing light intensified, mending the stab wounds, purging the death energy from Clara’s veins.
Suddenly, a massive explosion of crimson energy erupted from the ocean.
BOOOOOOOOM!
A massive pillar of crimson light pierced the sky. The ice encasing Lucian shattered into a million fragments. The water around him boiled and evaporated instantly, creating a massive cloud of steam. Lucian stood on the surface of the ocean, his body wreathed in a terrifying, blood-red aura.
"YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER AWAY FROM MEEE!"
His Crimson Sovereign Form had evolved further, the horns on his crown elongating, his claws sharpening. His aura flared, easily matching an Early Astral Realm cultivator.
He vanished, using Blood Flash, and appeared directly in front of the woman, his clawed hand reaching for her throat.
The woman’s eyes widened in genuine surprise. What sort of bloodline is this? she thought, analyzing him in a fraction of a second. A vampire? No, an ancient vampire bloodline. A King grade bloodline... no, it’s even higher than the Emperor grade. It can even compare to our Sovereign bloodline.
But she didn’t flinch.
CRASH!
Her aura flared out, a terrifying, silver pressure that slammed down on Lucian like the weight of a mountain.
THUD!
Lucian was forced onto his knees, the sand cratering beneath him. He struggled violently, his muscles bulging, his teeth grinding as he fought against the immense force. But he couldn’t move.
The woman looked down at him, her eyes scanning his body. But alas, it’s sealed under a very complex set of formations. Even I doubt the master could break it. But he’s one of those barbaric vampires that can’t even control himself.
She looked back at Lucian, who was still trying to push himself up, his crimson eyes burning with defiance. "I wonder what your relationship with the daughter of the moon is," the woman murmured. "But no matter. It’s not like I care."
She raised her hand, and a soft, white light gathered at her fingertips. "Bye bye."
FLASH!
Lucian’s vision went completely white. The last thing he saw was Clara’s peaceful face before the consciousness was forcibly ripped from his mind. He collapsed face-first into the sand, his Crimson Sovereign Form receding, leaving him naked and broken.
The woman turned her head slightly, her gaze shifting towards the distance. "Another child of the moon?" she murmured, a flicker of surprise in her eyes. "Interesting."
The woman—Bianca—lowered her hand. She gently picked Clara up in her arms, cradling her like a precious doll. She glanced at Lucian’s unconscious body one last time, her expression unreadable, before vanishing into a flash of silver light.
CRACK! HISS!
Louisa lay on the sand, gasping for breath. It took her over five minutes of continuous, desperate attacks of death energy to finally shatter the ice crystal pinning her. She collapsed, her shoulder bleeding profusely, her meridians damaged from the freezing energy.
Pant... pant...
She poured her death energy into the wound, forcing her flesh to stitch back together. As the pain subsided, the sheer terror of what she had just witnessed began to sink in.
What the hell was that? Louisa thought, her body trembling. Why is such a powerful cultivator on Earth? She’s even far stronger than the Dark King. She has to be above the Sage Realm!
Louisa bit her lip, her mind racing. Is that girl from a powerful clan that sends their children out to train? To a low-tier planet like Earth? Just my luck...
She turned her gaze toward the unconscious Lucian.
A creepy, twisted smile slowly spread across Louisa’s face.
He was able to fight me in that form, she thought, slowly walking toward him, her heels clicking against the sand. His bloodline... it’s beyond anything I’ve ever seen. The Dark King himself would salivate over it.
She knelt beside him, tracing her cold, clawed finger down his cheek. "If I can fully absorb his bloodline," she whispered, her eyes gleaming with madness. "I can one day surpass the Dark King. I can even reach that woman... and get my revenge on her for this humiliation."
She reached into her storage ring, pulling out a set of mana-suppressing chains.
"Come, my little blood sack," Louisa cooed, a sickening hunger in her voice. "It’s time we went home."
