Chapter 1245: Chapter 427: The White Bone Archway, the Director’s Phone Call (5k)_2
He entered one of the rooms where shelves were arranged, densely packed with many glass jars.
Some jars contained fingers, some contained ears, others held pieces of internal organs, and some contained chunks of flesh.
He found one jar with a small piece of blackened meat inside, took it down, and moved to another hall.
Everywhere here was covered with various symbols and patterns, and animal heads hung on the four walls, ranging from deer to bear, and even owls and other birds of prey were present.
Inverted Triangle Eyes opened the jar, releasing a strong, pungent smell that was somewhat stinging and eye-watering.
He took the small blackened piece of meat from inside and placed it on a small altar, only a foot high, in the center of the room.
Then he moved to another side, shook a machine, and a bizarre Dharma Altar rose from below the ground.
This altar wasn’t made with yellow cloth but with blood-colored fabrics.
Placed on it wasn’t the Yellow Talisman Magic Sword but a bone spear decorated with embroidery made from hair, typically used here as funeral objects for the deceased or keepsakes for close family.
Inverted Triangle Eyes waved a transparent Banner Flag as if summoning souls.
His magic was almost indistinguishable from ordinary rituals, it seemed all about talismans, curse scriptures, hand gestures, interplaying footsteps, the only difference being the items used were entirely different.
With his ritual, the small altar in the center began to move.
The little altar flipped from the bottom upward, wrapping the small piece of black meat inside.
At the same time, inside Old Linzi, the Gatekeeper was still running, he could already see the helicopter’s flashing lights in the night, not far from him.
Even if he didn’t know what it was, he could guess it was probably pursuing him.
Just as he was about to hide in a cave, he heard the faint sound of curse scriptures in his ears, with odd, awkward tones that were extremely uncomfortable, but as he listened, they began to feel intoxicating.
The Gatekeeper’s face turned deathly pale like paper with a sudden swipe.
He knew what this was, having seen it before as a Gatekeeper.
He knew slightly more than some part-timers, and when he started hearing this sound, it meant he was finished.
Comparatively, making himself dead and finding someone to cremate him would be a better outcome.
As the faint, odd-toned curse scripture sounds gradually became clearer, the Gatekeeper saw two nearby mountain peaks started to twist.
The surrounding large trees began to transform into abstract art style, with straight trunks twisting into bizarre shapes, branches turning into clawing limbs, swaying and reaching towards him with the wind.
The ground began to tremble at this moment.
Those twisted large trees started to disintegrate, turning into a pile of white bones, all sorts clustered together, interlocked.
Beneath the surface, these interwoven white bones slowly emerged, at seven or eight meters high, two white bone columns twisted and intertwined to form a symbolic gate.
On top of the gate, one by one animal skulls appeared, each skull emitting light from the eye sockets, all turning to look at the Gatekeeper.
The Gatekeeper’s face was as pale as paper, wanting to run but unable to move, his legs were already weak and sore, now even more limp.
He saw the gate, looking through it to the further side, saw darkness deeper than the night.
The faraway mountains seemed like two giants, gradually turning heads to watch him, the immense pressure overwhelmed him, rendering breathing impossible, his soul seemed oppressed.
Behind the white bone gate, rustling sounds emerged, darkness spread like a curtain from behind the gate.
The Gatekeeper could only open his eyes wide, full of despair, as his body refused to obey, unable to move.
The helicopter’s roar arrived; that gaunt old man jumped directly down; as he was about to hit the ground, a thick gray tail appeared behind him, wrapped around a branch, swung his body to leap forward swiftly.
After landing, he quickly raced on all four limbs toward the Gatekeeper.
The Gatekeeper’s body trembled as he slowly turned his head, gazing in despair at the old man rushing towards him, as his body began to be engulfed bit by bit by the dark curtain emerging from the white bone gate.
Old Haorat’s face grew solemn, he recognized the figure, even now seeing their back almost confirmed their identity.
But things must be handled with evidence.
He saw the extremely eerie white bone gate, saw the Gatekeeper’s body slowly vanish, no blood was visible, and the man didn’t instantly die.
He knew there was definitely something bizarre here.
Under such circumstances, it wasn’t something he could assert without proof, he needed solid evidence.
Old Haorat knew danger might lie ahead, yet he still rushed forward, racing on all four limbs from the side, as he approached, gray fur started appearing on his face, the chin and cheeks began protruding, two large buck teeth emerged.
