The elevator soon reached the ground floor and Mo Yuan followed Louis out of the Beast Association.

"Since you’re here for the first time, I’ll take you to a good restaurant. The food there is quite famous throughout Frostwind Base," Louis said with a smile.

"Then I’ll have to trouble Senior."

"Haha, there’s no need to be so polite. Bai Chuan and I have known each other for many years. Since you’re his junior, you’re my junior as well."

The two soon left the Beast Association building and walked toward a busy street.

After walking for about ten minutes, they arrived in front of a large restaurant called Golden Crescent Restaurant.

The building had five floors, with large glass windows and golden decorations around its entrance. Several expensive cars were parked outside and well-dressed customers entered and left the restaurant continuously.

Mo Yuan glanced at the building.

’It seems this place isn’t cheap.’

However, he didn’t care much about money. After all, he had spent more than a hundred billion yuan on a strange black stone at the auction. Paying for a meal was nothing in comparison.

The moment Louis entered the restaurant, a manager hurried over to greet him.

"President Louis! Welcome back. We weren’t informed that you would be visiting today."

The manager bowed respectfully and the surrounding staff immediately became more attentive.

Louis nodded casually. "There’s no need for such a fuss. Prepare a private room for us and bring out some of your best dishes."

"Of course, President Louis. Please follow me."

The manager personally led them to the third floor, where they entered a spacious private room with a wide window overlooking the busy street.

While the two were walking through the restaurant, quite a few customers had noticed them.

"Isn’t that President Louis of the Beast Association?"

"Of course it is! I didn’t expect to see him here today."

"Who is that young man walking beside him? Why is President Louis personally accompanying him?"

"I have no idea. He looks so young. Could he be a member of some powerful family?"

Whispers spread throughout the restaurant. Louis was a well-known figure in Frostwind Base.

As the president of the Beast Association and a Sovereign Realm Cultivator, he had connections with many powerful cultivators and influential families. Seeing him personally accompany a young man naturally attracted attention.

Mo Yuan heard some of the whispers but he paid them little attention.

He had no interest in explaining his identity to strangers. As long as they didn’t bother him, he couldn’t care less about what they thought.

After entering the private room, Louis invited him to sit down.

"Take a look at the menu. Although Frostwind Base is known for its beast-related resources, its food is also worth trying."

Mo Yuan accepted the menu and began looking through it. The dishes were quite different from what he usually ate in Cang Lan Base.

There were roasted meats covered in herbs, creamy seafood soups, grilled fish with lemon sauce, baked bread filled with cheese and several kinds of Western-style desserts.

"Senior, I’ll leave the ordering to you. You probably know which dishes are the best."

"Good choice. I’ll make sure you don’t leave disappointed."

Louis ordered several dishes, including roasted beast meat, grilled sea fish, mushroom soup, fresh bread and a large platter of roasted vegetables.

He also ordered a few special desserts that were popular among the wealthy cultivators of Frostwind Base.

It didn’t take long for the food to arrive.

The first dish was a large plate of roasted meat. Its surface was golden and crispy, while the inside remained tender and juicy. A special sauce made from herbs and spices had been spread over it, giving it a rich aroma.

Mo Yuan cut a piece and tasted it.

His eyes brightened slightly.

’Not bad!’

The meat was delicious and the sauce added a flavor he wasn’t used to. He took another bite, then moved on to the grilled fish.

The fish was tender, with a light lemon flavor that made it taste completely different from the dishes he usually ate.

The creamy soup was also surprisingly good. Even the simple bread had a pleasant taste when eaten with the roasted meat.

Mo Yuan continued trying the different dishes, occasionally asking Louis about their ingredients.

Some were prepared using ordinary ingredients, while others contained meat from specially raised beasts. The restaurant had clearly put a lot of effort into making its food stand out.

By the time the desserts arrived, Mo Yuan was quite satisfied.

’It’s been a while since I tried something so different. I guess I’ve gotten too used to eating the same kinds of food.’

He had spent most of his time cultivating and hunting Beast. For him eating had often been nothing more than a way to replenish his energy.

This meal reminded him that there were plenty of other things worth experiencing.

’Well, I should enjoy myself when I have the chance. There’s no point in spending every moment cultivating.’

Of course, he wasn’t going to abandon his cultivation for food. Still, he decided that he would try more dishes from different regions whenever he had the opportunity.

After the meal, Louis paid the bill despite Mo Yuan’s offer to contribute.

"Don’t worry about it," Louis said. "You can treat me next time."

Mo Yuan smiled. "Then I’ll remember that, Senior."

The two chatted for a while longer, discussing the Beast Association and the differences between Frostwind Base and Cang Lan Base.

Louis also gave him a few recommendations about places worth visiting, though Mo Yuan didn’t plan to stay much longer.

Eventually, Mo Yuan stood up.

"Senior, thank you for your hospitality. I still have some things to take care of, so I’ll be leaving now."

Louis nodded. "Very well. If you need anything while you’re in Frostwind Base, you can contact the Beast Association. You’re welcome to visit anytime."

"I will. Goodbye, Senior."

"Take care."

After exchanging farewells, Mo Yuan left the restaurant and headed toward the base’s exit.

The journey back was uneventful. When he reached the gate, the guards stopped him and asked to see his identification again.

One of them checked his information and quickly recognized that Mo Yuan had already entered the base earlier that day.

"Your entry record is confirmed. You may leave."

Mo Yuan nodded and walked through the gate.

Once he was outside the base, he continued forward until he was far enough away from the guards.

He was just about to enter the Shadow Realm when he suddenly sensed an aura approaching from behind.

’Peak Stage Origin Lord Realm?’

The aura was getting closer and Mo Yuan soon recognized another familiar presence accompanying it.

’John? The second young master of the Mavericks Family?’

He remembered the young man from the auction. John had been unwilling to lose the black stone and he seemed very angry when Mo Yuan won the bidding.

Mo Yuan turned his head slightly.

John was walking toward him alongside an old man. The old man had white hair, a wrinkled face and a calm expression.

However, the aura coming from his body clearly showed that he was a Peak Stage Origin Lord Realm cultivator.

Mo Yuan activated his Copy and Paste Talent and scanned both of them.

Mo Yuan then scanned John.

There were no other notable talents on John’s panel.
