I am using hacks in cultivation world
Chapter 192: Ch 192- Showing off
’Yes.’
The moment Mo Yuan gave the command, his consciousness returned to the familiar Talent Tree Space.
As usual, the branches representing his talents appeared before him. The branch of Shadow Walk Talent was much thicker than the branch of Shadow Talent. The two slowly moved toward each other before finally merging into one.
BOOM!
A powerful sound echoed through the Talent Tree Space and Mo Yuan’s consciousness returned to his cultivation chamber.
’Let’s see what has changed.’
He immediately opened his talent panel.
Shadow Walk Talent: Exceptional Grade ★ [Active]
Mo Yuan’s eyes stopped on the star symbol behind the grade.
’Good. The fusion succeeded.’
However, the information he received about the changes was surprisingly short.
Your affinity with shadows has increased.
Mo Yuan stared at the message for a moment.
’That’s it? My affinity with shadows has increased?’
He couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed. After fusing two talents, he had expected something more obvious. Still, he knew that some changes might not be immediately noticeable.
He turned his attention toward the shadow beneath his feet.
For a brief moment, his vision seemed to change. He felt as if he could see deeper into the shadow, almost as though there was another world hidden beneath its surface. However, the strange feeling disappeared before he could examine it properly.
Mo Yuan frowned slightly.
’Strange. Was that related to my increased affinity?’
He tried to reproduce the feeling but nothing happened.
After a few attempts, he gave up. There was no point wasting time on something he didn’t understand yet. He would investigate it later if he discovered anything unusual about his Shadow Walk Talent.
’Well, I’ve copied both talents and used both of my fusion chances. That’s enough for tonight.’
Mo Yuan nodded to himself.
He had originally planned to continue cultivating but he had to visit Mo Ran’s academy tomorrow afternoon. If he began a long cultivation session now, he would have to interrupt it the next day, which was something he disliked.
’Then I’ll practice my saber instead.’
With that decision, he took his saber out of his storage space and activated his Enlightenment Talent.
He stood in the middle of the cultivation chamber and slowly drew his saber.
The first strike was simple. He focused on the movement of his arm, the angle of the blade and the path it followed through the air. Then he repeated the movement, making small adjustments each time.
Soon, his movements became faster.
A silver flash appeared in the chamber as he practiced Boundless Saber Art. His saber seemed to disappear whenever he swung it, only to reappear a moment later. Each strike was followed by another and every movement connected smoothly to the next.
Mo Yuan wasn’t trying to increase his speed blindly. Instead, he carefully studied every movement, searching for ways to make his attacks faster and more efficient.
His Enlightenment Talent allowed him to understand the principles behind the technique at an astonishing speed. Whenever he noticed a flaw, he corrected it immediately and tried again.
Gradually, his saber movements became smoother. The unnecessary movements disappeared and the time between each strike grew shorter.
’So this is how I should move my wrist...’
He adjusted his grip and swung again.
Whoosh!
The saber cut through the air, producing a sharp sound.
A satisfied smile appeared on Mo Yuan’s face.
He was becoming increasingly curious about the power of Boundless Saber Art. His current minor achievement gave him a ninefold multiplier. If he could reach major achievement, how much stronger would his attacks become?
The thought excited him.
He continued practicing, completely absorbed in the process. It felt as if he had entered a special state where his mind and body worked together perfectly. Every strike taught him something new and he could clearly feel himself improving with each passing moment.
His understanding of the technique deepened at an astonishing rate.
He didn’t want to stop.
Just as he was about to perform another series of strikes, a sharp ringing sound suddenly echoed through the chamber.
Tring! Tring! Tring!
Mo Yuan froze.
He slowly turned his head toward the alarm clock.
Only then did he realize how much time had passed, then he put his saber away and walked over to switch off the alarm.
’I was so immersed that it felt like only a second had passed.’
He looked at the clock and shook his head with a helpless smile.
’Well, once I’m done with the academy, no one will be around to interrupt me. I can continue practicing after I return.’
Mo Yuan walked toward his wardrobe.
Since he had promised Mo Ran that he would show off in front of her friends, he couldn’t exactly arrive looking like someone who had just stepped out of a cultivation chamber.
After some thought, he chose a black leather jacket with a white Henley shirt underneath. He paired them with denim jeans and black shoes.
After changing, he stood in front of the mirror and examined his appearance.
’Not bad.’
Mo Yuan wasn’t the most handsome person in the world and his face could still be considered fairly ordinary. However, his height of 1.9 meters was impressive for someone who was only fifteen. His blonde hair also made him stand out from the crowd.
He gave himself one last look before nodding in satisfaction.
’This should be enough.’
He left his room and entered the living room, only to find it empty.
Goldy and Kitty had already left with Mo Ran for the academy.
Mo Yuan glanced at the clock.
It was already 3:50 p.m.
’Time to go.’
He left the house and began walking toward the academy.
Along the way, he noticed quite a few people looking in his direction. Some only glanced at him out of curiosity, while others seemed to recognize him.
Whispers soon reached his ears.
’Isn’t that Mo Yuan?’
’The one who saved the bases during the beast tide?’
’It really is him!’
Mo Yuan felt a little embarrassed.
Although he had become accustomed to fighting powerful beasts, he was still not used to receiving so much attention from ordinary people.
’I’m going to have to get used to this sooner or later.’
He increased his pace and soon arrived at the academy gate.
The guard standing outside immediately noticed him. After sensing the aura of a cultivator, the guard straightened his posture and greeted him respectfully.
"Sir, may I ask your purpose for visiting?"
"My younger sister, Mo Ran, studies here. I’m here to pick her up."
Hearing this, the guard nodded.
"The academy will finish in about five minutes. You can wait inside the reception area if you wish."
"That’s fine. I’ll wait here at the gate."
"Of course, sir."
The guard returned to his position while Mo Yuan stood nearby. ℴ
Soon, the academy bell rang and the sound echoed through the surrounding streets.
The gates opened and students began pouring out. Most appeared to be around twelve to fourteen years old, carrying backpacks and chatting excitedly with their friends.
Looking at them, Mo Yuan couldn’t help remembering his own school days.
’Those days feel so distant now.’
He was still watching the students when a few of them suddenly stopped and stared at him.
One boy rubbed his eyes before turning to his friend.
"Hey, isn’t that Mo Yuan?"
"The hero who saved the bases during the beast tide?"
The boy immediately rushed toward him, followed by several other students.
"Hello! Are you really Mo Yuan?"
Mo Yuan smiled at their excited expressions.
"Yes, that’s me. Do you want an autograph?"
The students stared at him for a moment before nodding furiously.
"Yes!"
Their excited voices attracted even more attention. Within seconds, a growing crowd surrounded Mo Yuan, with students asking for autographs and trying to get a better look at him.
Mo Yuan raised his eyebrows.
’These kids are even more chaotic than I expected.’
He raised his voice and called out, "All right, everyone, form a line! If you don’t line up, nobody gets an autograph!"
To his surprise, the students immediately obeyed.
In the blink of an eye, a neat line formed in front of him.
Mo Yuan couldn’t help smiling at the sight.
’So this is the power of authority.’
He began signing autographs one after another. While doing so, he quietly released his Origin Sense and searched the academy grounds.
He quickly found Mo Ran.
She had just left the academy with her friends and was looking around in confusion after noticing the crowd gathered near the gate.
Mo Yuan glanced in her direction and smiled.
’You wanted me to show off in front of your friends, didn’t you?’
He continued signing autographs, looking completely relaxed.
’Well, little sister, look carefully. Your big brother is showing off right now!’
