Chapter 151: Ch 151- Middle Stage of Origin Soul Realm
21 January 3027, eight days after the end of the final round of the tournament.
Inside his cultivation chamber, Mo Yuan was sitting cross-legged in the middle of a large blood container.
The container was filled with beast blood and most of Mo Yuan’s body was submerged in it. Only his head was exposed above the dark red liquid.
His expression was serious.
He was about to break through to the Mid Stage of the Origin Soul Realm.
The Mid Stage of the Origin Soul Realm was known as Extraordinary Meridian Tempering.
After completing the tempering of the eight major meridians, a cultivator would begin tempering another twelve deeper and more complicated meridian pathways.
These twelve meridians connected the major meridians together and allowed Primordial Qi to circulate through parts of the body that the major meridians could not reach efficiently.
Once these meridians were tempered, a cultivator’s control over Primordial Qi would improve greatly and their overall strength would also increase.
Mo Yuan had already tempered eight of his major meridians.
Now, he was searching for the first of the twelve deeper meridians.
He closed his eyes and carefully spread his Primordial Qi through his body.
"Come on..."
He slowly guided the Primordial Qi through his meridians, searching for the hidden pathway.
After several minutes, he finally sensed something.
There!
Mo Yuan’s attention immediately focused on that location.
He carefully pushed his Primordial Qi toward the newly discovered meridian.
At first, the meridian resisted.
Mo Yuan frowned slightly and increased the amount of Primordial Qi he was sending into it.
Boom!
A strange feeling suddenly spread throughout his body.
The hidden meridian opened.
Primordial Qi rushed through the newly opened pathway and quickly connected with his other meridians.
Mo Yuan’s body trembled slightly.
At the same time, a powerful aura erupted from his body and the feeling lasted for several minutes before slowly calming down.
Mo Yuan finally opened his eyes.
The beast blood around him had already fallen to his knees. Most of it had been absorbed by his body during the breakthrough.
A smile appeared on his face.
"Finally."
"I have reached the Mid Stage of the Origin Soul Realm."
Mo Yuan climbed out of the blood container and casually wiped the blood from his body before walking toward the Primordial Qi strength testing equipment.
He had been looking forward to seeing how much his strength had increased.
"Let’s see."
He stood in front of the equipment and took a deep breath.
Then he threw a simple punch.
Boom!
The entire machine shook violently and the numbers quickly appeared on the screen.
After rising rapidly, they finally stopped.
3,200,000 jin.
Mo Yuan raised his eyebrows.
"3.2 million jin."
"Not bad."
His strength had increased considerably compared to before but the base strength was only one part of his actual combat power.
Mo Yuan began calculating.
His Ultimate Grade Strength Talent gave him a 22x boost.
Boundless Saber Art gave him another 9x.
His Blood Saber Intent gave him a 2x boost.
Finally, Primordial Qi gave him another 2x.
Mo Yuan quickly calculated the total.
3.2 million × 22 × 9 × 2 × 2.
The final result was 2.5344 billion jin.
Mo Yuan stared at the number for a few seconds.
"Holy shit."
"How strong am I now?"
A Sovereign Realm cultivator who had just broken through had around 100 million jin of base strength, while a Peak Sovereign could reach around 10 billion jin of base strength.
Of course, those numbers did not include their talents, techniques, elemental Primordial Qi or other boosts.
Even so, Mo Yuan’s current combat strength was already enough for him to fight newly promoted Sovereign Realm cultivators.
He couldn’t help but smile.
’At least I won’t have to worry about those newly promoted Sovereigns anymore.’
He then moved on to check his speed.
Boom!
His figure instantly disappeared.
A moment later, he appeared several dozen meters away inside the cultivation chamber.
"18 Mach."
Mo Yuan nodded.
"Not bad."
His speed had also increased from his previous 16 Mach and then he spread out his Origin Sense.
It quickly expanded through the cultivation chamber and then went outside of his house.
500 meters.
510 meters.
520 meters.
Finally, it stopped at around 521 meters.
"Not bad, not bad."
Mo Yuan nodded in satisfaction.
After checking all his improvements, another thought suddenly entered his mind.
"Today should be the day, right?"
He looked toward the door of the cultivation chamber.
The Secret Realm was supposed to open soon. He needed to find out whether the exact opening date had finally been announced but that wasn’t the only thing he was thinking about.
A grin slowly appeared on Mo Yuan’s face.
"My Copy and Paste cooldown is finally over."
For the past several days, he had been waiting for this moment.
Now he could finally copy Ming Yue’s talent.
Just thinking about her Exceptional Grade Enlightenment Talent made Mo Yuan excited.
After leaving the cultivation chamber, Mo Yuan found Mo Ran sitting in the living room. He glanced at the time and was slightly surprised. It was already eight in the morning. Normally, Mo Ran would have already left for the academy.
"Good morning, brother" Mo Ran greeted him with a smile.
"Morning, you didn’t go to the academy today?" Mo Yuan asked as he sat down on the sofa.
"Yeah. We have a function at the academy today, so we have a day off," Mo Ran replied casually.
"Oh, I see. Never mind then."
Mo Yuan’s gaze soon fell on the Void Cat sleeping on the other side of the sofa. The little cat was curled up comfortably, completely ignoring everything around her.
"This girl is getting lazier and lazier," Mo Yuan muttered.
As if she had understood him, the Void Cat opened her eyes and let out a soft meow.
She immediately jumped onto Mo Yuan’s lap, turned around a few times and then curled herself into a ball before falling asleep again.
Mo Yuan looked down at her speechlessly.
"This cat..."
Mo Ran couldn’t help but laugh at the sight.
"Brother, do you want breakfast?"
"Sure."
Mo Ran soon went to prepare breakfast and the two of them ate together. After finishing his meal, Mo Yuan said goodbye and left the house.
Fifteen minutes later, Mo Yuan arrived at the Human Federation Tower. He entered the building and looked around.
This time, David’s voice did not suddenly appear in his head.
"Looks like Senior David isn’t monitoring the entrance today."
Mo Yuan didn’t think much about it. He walked toward the elevator, entered it and pressed the button for the 100th floor.
As the elevator began moving upward, a smile slowly appeared on his face.
