Chapter 768: "Knowledge is Power" Qualitative Change

Time ticked by, and Yuan Shan’s patience wore thin.

He couldn’t understand it. How could Su Ze, a mere Moon God, maintain so many skills and hold out for this long?

Su Ze, on the other hand, was more than happy with this war of attrition.

It might have looked like a stalemate, but in truth, the scales of victory were slowly but surely tipping in his favor.

Yuan Shan and the Mutated Giant Ape had no way to replenish their energy. They were constantly expending it, running a deficit they couldn’t recover from.

Su Ze, however, could constantly recover energy from their struggles and attacks.

‘This can’t go on…’ Yuan Shan realized. He began moving toward his spaceship, intending to get inside.

The only way to end this was to shut down the Space Net and unseal this region of space.

But to shut down the Space Net, he had to get inside the spaceship to operate the controls.

Furthermore, once the Space Net was down, Su Ze would have a chance to escape.

But Yuan Shan couldn’t worry about that now. If this dragged on any longer, he felt he would be the first to break.

For a mighty Sun God like himself to be worn down to death by a Moon God—it would be utterly humiliating!

Su Ze, of course, wouldn’t let him have his way. He immediately reinforced his body, metalizing his liquid form until it became like “molten iron.”

Yuan Shan’s progress slowed to a crawl. He had no choice but to hack his way through the obstacles in his path.

Su Ze then chose the perfect moment to release the Dark Blood Giant Beast, using its Dark Domain to confound Yuan Shan’s senses and prevent him from finding the spaceship.

But the Dark Blood Giant Beast was relentless. Its Domain Skills had no cooldown; as soon as the domain was shattered, the beast would simply create it anew.

The only issue was the high energy cost of repeatedly activating its domain. At this rate, the Dark Blood Giant Beast would surely be the first to collapse.

But Su Ze was merely buying time. While the Dark Blood Giant Beast kept Yuan Shan occupied, Su Ze launched a furious assault on the Mutated Giant Ape!

All sorts of Elemental Fruits and Divine Artifacts were unleashed madly upon the Mutated Giant Ape!

The Mutated Giant Ape was already in poor condition, and under this barrage, it was immediately wounded.

Neither option seemed appealing.

After a moment’s hesitation, Yuan Shan decided to continue toward the spaceship.

It wasn’t for any other reason. He simply realized that ‘it seems like all I can do is get beaten up alongside the Mutated Giant Ape.’

In his current state, Su Ze wasn’t afraid of their attacks.

‘I can only hope the Mutated Giant Ape can hold on until I shut down the spatial lockdown…’

Yuan Shan was now filled with regret. ‘Why didn’t I bring more men?’

If there was someone else on the ship, they could have lifted the lockdown, and he would have been able to escape this predicament instantly.

Su Ze, meanwhile, was immensely grateful. ‘I’m so glad I upgraded the “Sponge Body” to a ninth-rank divine skill.’ Without it, he never could have trapped a ninth-rank beast and a Sun God like this. He would have been blasted to bits long ago.

As Yuan Shan inched closer to his spaceship, Su Ze went berserk, attacking the Mutated Giant Ape with even greater frenzy.

This situation further exposed the Mutated Giant Ape’s weaknesses. Although its body was powerful and Su Ze’s attacks posed no fatal threat, the ape relied solely on its fists and feet. It had no powerful defensive skills, and it was completely unable to threaten Su Ze in his liquid state.

By the time Yuan Shan finally struggled his way to his spaceship, the Mutated Giant Ape was covered in wounds. They were only superficial, but the broken skin meant its tough external defense had been compromised.

Seeing Yuan Shan about to board the spaceship, Su Ze instantly recalled the Dark Blood Giant Beast and also retrieved the Hero from the corner.

Then, he unleashed all the energy he had accumulated in his body!

Su Ze’s body became like an erupting volcano, a torrent of energy raging outward from him as its epicenter.

Ordinarily, this energy blast would have barely reached the Sun God-level. While it would have been a threat to Yuan Shan and the Mutated Giant Ape, it wouldn’t have been a major problem.

But now, with the space sealed, the energy had nowhere to dissipate. It was all concentrated, erupting within this confined area. This amplified its destructive power immensely, forcing all the explosive energy to be contained within.

In short, the confined space had multiplied the power of Su Ze’s energy blast!

This single blow completely drained the energy of the Protective Shield on Yuan Shan’s Sun God-level Spaceship, leaving the vessel heavily damaged.

The same blow also wounded Yuan Shan. Despite immediately using a defensive skill and taking out a defensive Divine Artifact, he was still unavoidably injured. On one half of his body, ghastly white bone was exposed.
