I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 757: Ancestral God of the Hui Race (2)
If other major races got their hands on a Bloodline Divine Artifact, the chances of them competing with the Holy Race for resources would increase significantly.
However, Su Ze guessed that even the Saint Race Commerce Association wouldn’t go so far as to risk its reputation by seizing the two Bloodline Divine Artifacts. It was more likely they would make a high offer, then apply pressure to make Su Ze sell the Bloodline Divine Artifacts directly to them.
But that didn’t align with Su Ze’s plans. The price offered by the Holy Race would certainly not be as high as the final price at auction.
Dou Yi took the Bloodline Divine Artifact and the drop of Ancestral God’s blood, then left in his own spaceship.
Su Ze, meanwhile, went to an outer planet to enjoy the scenery for a while before circling back to the spaceship docks at the entrance of the core commercial district.
By this time, all members of the Starry Sky Guard Team, except for Dou Yi, had returned to the docks and were waiting in their respective ships.
Su Ze had previously ordered everyone to return to their ships before the Bloodline Divine Artifact auction.
This wasn’t particularly conspicuous. Many of the spaceships at the docks were occupied, as each ship’s interior was like a luxury mansion. Many people would return to their ships to rest after getting tired from shopping.
The members of the Starry Sky Guard Team had been active in the core commercial district for over two months and had pretty much explored everything. Each of them had bought plenty of resources suited to their needs.
They had far fewer skills than Su Ze, so they needed to upgrade fewer of them. Plus, they mostly required Tier 7 materials, which were relatively easy to find.
Once they had absorbed and processed all their resources, their overall strength would see another significant boost.
All that was left was for the Super Star to be in position, and Zexing would be able to rapidly produce a new batch of Moon Gods!
At this moment, Su Ze was using a psionic communication device to arrange the subsequent withdrawal plan with everyone from his ship.
Over the next period, the members of the Starry Sky Guard Team would gradually withdraw from the core commercial district and move to the outer regions.
After the Bloodline Divine Artifact was successfully auctioned, they would completely pull out of the Spirit Race Public Star Realm and rendezvous outside the Star Realm.
Only Su Ze would remain behind to handle the final wrap-up.
…
Although it seemed unlikely that the Alliance Commerce Association would resort to any tricks, Su Ze still had Dou Yi make thorough preparations.
This time, Dou Yi specifically paid to hire an official “Witness” from the Spirit Race Public Star Realm, a role similar to a lawyer.
However, this Witness was not from the Spirit Race but from one of their Vassal Races.
The Spirit Race were pure elemental lifeforms who typically gathered in places with dense Elemental Energy and rarely ventured out.
Moreover, they preferred to delegate all sorts of tasks to their Vassal Races, while their own people focused solely on enjoying life and increasing their strength.
Under the Witness’s supervision, the two parties first negotiated the trade of a Tier 9 beast.
The Alliance Commerce Association had its own specialized hunting teams responsible for capturing beasts. However, they usually killed Tier 9 beasts outright, separating the materials and Evolutionary Material for sale.
But Su Ze wanted a *living* Tier 9 beast, which narrowed the options considerably.
This was because the Tier 9 beast was intended for Mu Wang to use for body-snatching. Therefore, Su Ze had only one requirement: the stronger its combat power, the better.
From the limited choices, Dou Yi picked a Tier 9 Stellar Giant Beast.
Stellar Giant Beasts were considered to be at the top of the food chain among beasts, possessing immense talent and power. This was why the Alliance Commerce Association had captured this one alive instead of killing it.
The Alliance Commerce Association’s Stellar Giant Beast was named the “Dark Blood Giant Beast.” It was a Stellar Giant Beast that commanded the Dark Element. Its combat power ranked in the middle tier among all Stellar Giant Beasts, and it was much smaller than a Star-Stepping Giant Beast.
However, it was still far stronger than an ordinary Tier 9 beast.
Naturally, its price was also higher than that of a typical Tier 9 beast.
Dou Yi and the Alliance Commerce Association’s business manager began negotiating the price of the Dark Blood Giant Beast. The process quickly reached a stalemate because Dou Yi was driving too hard a bargain.
At this point, Dou Yi took out the Dimension Ring and proposed that if the Alliance Commerce Association was willing to lower the price, he would entrust this treasure to them for auction.
He didn’t immediately present the drop of Ancestral God’s blood, because Su Ze had told him to ‘play his cards one at a time’.
“A Tier 9 Divine Artifact?” The Alliance Commerce Association’s business manager had a strange expression. He maintained a polite facade, but his eyes held an unconcealable arrogance. “A Tier 9 Divine Artifact is valuable, but it’s not enough to make me concede on the price. Besides, our association has no plans to hold an auction anytime soon. You don’t expect us to organize an entire auction just for a single Tier 9 Divine Artifact, do you?”
In his mind, he had already pegged Dou Yi as some country bumpkin who had crawled out of a forgotten corner of the universe and was now treating the Tier 9 Divine Artifact he’d stumbled upon like the find of a lifetime.
Tier 9 Divine Artifacts were indeed valuable, but as a business manager for the Alliance Commerce Association, he had seen countless treasures and wasn’t easily impressed.
Dou Yi said coldly, “Take a closer look. If you’re sure you’re not interested, I’ll just find another buyer. I just hope you don’t regret making a misjudgment.”
Hearing this, the business manager frowned slightly. He took the Dimension Ring and examined it for a few moments, then tried infusing it with Evolutionary Power, but he couldn’t find anything special about it.
However, out of a veteran businessman’s intuition, he politely asked Dou Yi to wait and immediately summoned the association’s specialized Treasure Appraiser.
A short man with a face so covered in beard that only his eyes were visible walked in. Holding some unknown instrument, he examined the Dimension Ring from every angle. After a long while, he finally frowned and said:
“There’s Bloodline Power in this ring?”
Dou Yi nodded. “Ancestral God bloodline.”
The business manager shrugged. “A Divine Artifact containing an Ancestral God’s bloodline is certainly rarer, but unless you’re a descendant of that Ancestral God, you can’t take advantage of its Bloodline Power. Plus, there’s the risk that the Ancestral God might try to reclaim it. So, this doesn’t actually make the artifact more valuable. It might even make potential customers hesitant.”
